1 How to Teach to shoot at Goal Step 1 to 4
2 Two types of training for shooting at the goal Goal shooting technique training Game-specific goal-shooting training
3 Learning Systematically How to Shoot at the Goal Stage 1: Basic drills for beginners Stage 2: Basic drills for advanced players Stage 3: Double actions Stage 4: Complex drills Stage 5: Shot at the goal after high ball Stage 6: Shooting after tackle Stage 7: Shooting under pressure of time Stage 8: Small sided games/competitions with shooting
4 Learning Systematically How to Shoot at the Goal Stage 1: Basic drills for beginners Shoot a still ball at the goal. Shoot a rolling ball at the goal. Shot at the goal after controlling a low pass. Stage 2: Basic drills for advanced players Direct shot at the goal of a low ball. Stage 3: Double actions The players adapt their goal shooting techniques to the situation and to the constantly changing speeds and directions of the ball. Stage 4: Complex drills The players shoot at the goal on the run in a complex drill (shooting at the goal after passing sequence, pressure of complexity).
5 Learning Systematically How to Shoot at the Goal Stage 5: Shot at the goal after high ball The players shot at the goal (with the head or foot) a thrown ball. They shoot under difficult conditions (shooting after turning, sprinting or jumping). Stage 6: Shooting after tackle The players shoot at the goal after a tackle (opponent pressure). Stage 7: Shooting under time pressure The players use goal-shooting techniques under difficult conditions in competitions that simulate time and opponent pressure. Stage 8: Small sided games (competition) with shooting In small-sided games, with neutral players and with equal-sized teams, the players create scoring chances and exploit them while under great pressure from opponents.
6 Criteria of Effective Goal Shooting Technique 1. A high number of repetitions allows the players to learn and improve their goal shooting techniques. 2. The coach corrects and helps to avoid postural errors (upper body, foot position) and tactical errors (incorrect position on the ball, running path, no change of pace). 3. The players practice shooting directly at the goal near to the goal and shots with a second touch from different positions.
7 Game-specific Goal Shooting Training 1. Drills in and around the penalty box are ideally suited to the practice and game-specific application of all important technical and tactical aspects of shooting at the goal. 2. The pressure of space, opponent, time and accuracy must be gradually increased (age and ability-appropriate). 3. Small goal shooting competitions increase motivation and are effective. Group pressure - competitive atmosphere -and fun.
8 Coaching Points Correction Tips 1. Shaking off the opponent with dummy runs. 2. Running towards the ball and not waiting for it. 3. Running into the critical zones at the right time. 4. Shooting at the goal, if possible directly. 5. First Accuracy then speed. 6. Dummy shot before shot at the goal to fake the goalkeeper. 7. Don't forget rebounds.
9 Goal Shooting Techniques 1. Kick with the inside of the foot. 2. Kick with the full instep. 3. Kick with the inside instep. 4. Kick with the outside instep. 5. Drop kick. 6. Hip-turn kick. 7. Sideways scissors kick. 8. Bicycle kick. 9. Kicks with the toe or heel. 10.Header.
