Handball Tag Ball Baskets Two teams The aim for the team in possession is to pass the ball by throwing and catching. The player in possession is not allowed to move, therefore lots of movement and runs are required from team mates. To score, the team must try to head the ball into the opponents goal from a thrown pass. Two teams The aim for the team in possession is to run the ball into the opponents end zone. The players in possession can throw the ball backwards, sideways or forwards. The players are free to run with the ball before passing. However, if tagged by a defender then possession must be given to the opposing team. Two teams. The aim for the team in possession is to make three passes (by throwing and catching the ball) and then to throw into a team mates basket to score. A player makes a basket by linking their arms in a circle (as shown in diagram). To progress change the rules so that players must make a volley pass out of their hands to score a basket. Copyright

4 Way Head tennis 1 st Touch Alley 3 Zone Possession Five players. Four players play the game and one player rests. The game is similar to head tennis as the cones separate the players into 4 mini courts. Each player is allowed one bounce and two touches in possession. The aim is to use disguise and pass across the cones (net) to your opponents After each point, the resting player rotates with the player losing the point. Two players. Each player goes inside their 2x2yd square. The players must make a grounded pass into the opponents square. The players are allowed two touches and must control the ball inside the square and then quickly pass back to their opponent. The pass can be made at any speed. This game tests accuracy of passing and 1 st touch. Three 8x8yd areas. In two areas, there are 3v1 keep away games commencing. The defender must hold the bib and try to win the ball from the three attackers. In the 3 rd area there are three players passing and a bib laying on the floor. This game has a domino effect of (1) defender wins ball, (2) player giving away possession now runs into free zone and picks up the bib to defend 3v1.

Shield Domino Heading Knockoff Heading Game One player is nominated as the defender and goes inside the circle. The other players must place a ball onto their cone & come inside the circle to shield the ball. On the coaches whistle, the defender must race to knock a ball from the cone. If successful, this starts a domino effect & the player who was shielding the ball must now become the new defender. Two teams: Each team nominate a server to stand behind the three cones and to serve balls back to the team. The game is a race to knock the three balls off the cones. Game 1 headers Game 2 volleys Game 3 1 header, 1 volley, 1 pass Two teams: The coach works as a server in this game. The coach serves the ball alternatively to each team. The players must head to score, and then quickly react to become a goalkeeper for the opponents header. The first team to 5 goals is the winner!

Bib Steal King of the Ring Defending Domino Bib steal Each player places a bib inside their shorts, the players must try to grab their opponents bibs to eliminate them from the game. However, whilst trying to steal their opponents bib, they must defend their own. Pass the parcel. One player is nominated as the defender. The other players throw the bib to each other. If you are tagged with a bib in your hand then you are the new defender. Each player has a ball inside the circle. The aim is to kick out your opponents ball in order to eliminate them from the game. However, whilst trying to eliminate the opponents you must also try to keep your own ball under control in order to stop an opponent trying to eliminate you. One player is nominated as the defender. The other players go inside the area and dribble around. The defender must try to tackle one of the dribbling players. If successful, the roles are reversed and the dribbling player that was tackled must now become the new defender in the game. Copyright

1v1 Continuous 1v1 Four Goal Passing Knockoff 1 Two teams. Each team take turns to attack 1v1 and then defend 1v1. The attacker must dribbling into the goalkeepers area before shooting at goal. This ensures that the defender comes out to pressure the attacker and that the attacker tries to dribble and not just shoot from distance. The 1 st team to 5 goals is declared the winner. Seven players are needed for this game. Four players must go and defend the goals whilst three players start at the centre with a ball each. The three players must attack a goal of their choice in a 1v1 situation. If they score, then they return to the centre and attack a new goal. However, if they fail to score, then the defender changes position with the attacker and runs to collect a new ball and attack a new goal. Two teams and two coaches (as servers) are needed for this game. The aim is to be the first team to knock all three balls off the cones. To start, the teams must dribble to the line and shoot the ball towards the cones. The coach will then collect the ball and pass to the opposite team. Before the next player can dribble to shoot, the previous player must run back and high 5 the waiting player.

Multi Ball Game 1v1 Crossways 2v2 Carousel One team defend the four mini goals. One team attack the four mini goals. The aim for the blue team is to dribble 1v1 and score goals. As the balls decrease, the blue team can now work in small groups to attack. This rule ensures there are a random of 1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 3v2, 4v4 situations. Once all the balls have been played, the number of goals are counted and the reds now try to beat the blue teams score. Two teams: The blue team attack the goal they are facing and defend the goal to their right. The red team attack the goal they are facing and defend the goal to their left. The teams alternate turns at attacking and then defending 1v1. the first team to five goals is declared the winners! Three teams of four players. The blue and red teams must attack the goal they are facing and defend the goal to their left. The white team attack the goal they are facing and defend the goal behind them. The game works continuously in 2v2 situations with blues attacking reds, the whites attacking blue and finally red attacking whites.

Pass and Go King of the Penalty Box Thunderball Shooting Each team has one ball. The teams must make a one touch pass and then run into the opposite half to make another one touch pass. The game runs continuously. Progression now only one ball is needed. The red team start by keeping possession against one blue defender. After every three passes another blue defender runs to help. This continues until possession is lost. Now the game transfers to the blue team s half. King of the penalty box is a duel between the outfield players and the goalkeepers. The outfield players try to score a goal to gain a point, the goalkeepers gain a point each time a shot is not scored. Ball 1 the player takes a penalty Ball 2 the player quickly receive a pass from the coach to turn and shoot from outside the box Ball 3 the player runs into the box and receive a header from the server. Two teams play a shooting game. The coach lines four balls inside the area and four balls outside the area. When shooting, all shots inside the box must be side footed and shots outside the box must be taken with the laces. Each player has one shot inside and one outside the box to score. The team has 8 shots in total to outscore their opponent Copyright

3 Lives Team Keep ups Team Conveyor belt Each player has three lives in this game. The game focuses on developing 1 st touch. To begin, a player volleys the ball into the air towards a new player. The players must play one touch to volley the ball around or across the circle. Each time a mistake is made, a player loses a life. The winning player is the last one left in the circle. Two teams play quick 60 second challenges 1 to complete the most consecutive headers 2 to complete the most consecutive one touch volleys 3 to complete the most consecutive one touch keep ups (headers, volleys, thigh passes etc.) Each team nominate a leader of their conveyor belt. The leader serves to the first player and receive a return in order to play to the 2 nd player etc. After returning the pass, the player at the front of the queue must join the back. Game 1 headers Game 2 one touch volleys Game 3 two touch keep ups

Left & Right Dancefloor Phone box Each player has a cone to their left and to their right in this speed reaction game. The coach calls left then the players must touch the cone to the left and then the cone to the right before stealing the ball. Now progress so that the players run diagonally and touch the cones to the left or right before stealing the ball. Each player has a ball and stands inside a gate. On the coaches call, a player enters the centre of the 5x5yd square (dance floor) and completes a freestyle of as many skills as possible. When the coach calls a new player, the player must leave the dance floor for the new player to enter. Four gates are guarded by three defenders. The attacker must enter the 5x5yd square with a football. The aim for the attacker is to complete a series of skills in order to dribble through a gate and score a goal. The defenders must constantly be on their toes to stop the attacker and block the gates.

Snatch Army Race Huddle Pairs of players. Each pair has one football that is placed on a cone. The players must listen to the body part or action called by the coach. Then on the coaches call of snatch the players must quickly grab the ball with their hands to be declared the winner. The coach can use calls of head, toes etc to force the player to touch body parts or jog, jump, spin to force actions. Two teams. Each team try to be the first to reach the finish line. To start, one player stands up whilst all the other players lay on the floor with a small gap between each of them. On the coaches whistle, the player standing up must run and step over each player to the end of the line and then lie down. After a player has run past you, a player on the floor must jump and begin their run. One player places a bib inside the shorts and is declared the driver. The driver must create a huddle with their team mates and turn away from the hunter The hunter must try to grab the bib from the drivers shorts. The driver must call communicate for the huddle to side step to the left or to the right in order to move away from the hunter and protect the bib. Copyright
