3 The -on- generates half of the scores in a game. The coach needs to spend time on developing his or her extra offensive plays. In these eleven -on- formations different offensive rotations are used to create a freeman. In other -on- s the offense needs to read the defense to see how the guards are positioning themselves. It is a chess match between the offense and the defense. May the best coached team win.

20 Formation Defense plays a - with one outside guard splitting and offensive players. Four and do not spread wide a part and isolate the guard. Finally the guard pressures who throws the ball away to the guard. Immediately, as soon as the outside players see a - defense, they need to spread a part. The shot comes from or. Do not try to pass the ball to anyone else.

26 Formation Defense plays a - with one outside guard splitting and offensive players. Four and spread wide a part and isolate the guard who is too far away to attack the ball. Finally the guard takes ; passes to for the shot. In this defense X- and X- did not spread onto and. Immediately, as soon as the outside players see a - defense, they need to spread a part.

31 X-,X- Guards Swim Right -Shot, Slide R Pops -Shoots
32 Formation The offense rotates to create freeman at by shifting and over to the right and sliding up to pop for a shot. The shift of the outside players takes X- and X- away from the posts. By slowing move up the X- guard is confused as to he should stay on the goal post and defend a spot or go after the -post player. Ball is passed to for the shot.

56 Formation 8 The poor X- guard! In this scenario the -spot slides to center cage and leaves X- defending the goal post from a -shot. X- guard attacks who passes into the -post for the shot. X- again is defending against a -on- situation created by the offensive rotation.

61 Formation 9 -in and out into the pocket. The player moves inside the -meter line as the player rotates up to the -meter line or so. The -post slides a little to center cage. This leaves X- defense and. X- takes the -post and leaves open for the shot.
62 -In -In -Guard Leaves 0 -Shot Moves In --Shot
63 -In -In Guard Leaves 0 -Shot Moves In --Shot
64 -In -In -Guard Leaves 0 -Shot Moves In --Shot
65 -In -In -Guard Leaves 0 -Shot Moves In --Shot
66 Formation 0 and players move inside the -meter line together. X- stays on the post expecting a - pass and the -player to shoot. The ball is passed into the -post for the - shot.
67 In this series of extra formations the guards position themselves to distract and confound the passer and force the players to read the defense and find the freeman. The offense by rotations and slides tries to create a freeman. There is always a freeman on a -on-. No matter how the guard disguise the freeman or try to disrupt the offense someone is open. 7
68 Many of the offensive -on- formation deal with the -spot player and the -post player and the guard they share X-. This is a -on- situation that rotations, slides and pops create to isolate the X- guard on one offensive player. The X- player cannot cover both players. The -player and the -player work together with the outside passers to read the defense and find the open man. 8
