2 The JP Signs & Print Wales Open Criterium 6 th July 2018 Welcome to the town of Abergavenny which again is proud to have been awarded a round of the British Cycling Elite Circuit Series for This National Series race sponsored by HSBC will provide for an action packed evening of racing with a full supporting programme of events. Abergavenny NP7 6EP Follow the purple arrows. To the competitors car park at the rear of the Centre No team buses to arrive before 16:00 as the school buses need to exit the car parks Head Quarters 18:00-19:30 Race Control Open Signing on, Verification of licences collection of numbers. and transponders. Photo Finish on left hand side Start & Finish Line. Team cars and riders to follow the green arrows to arrive at the Pits in Castle St. Competitors car park adjacent to the start & finish. Car Park charges have been wavered by MCC. 19:45 The top twelve riders to assemble on the Start/Line prior to gridding for interviews by the commentator. (only the top twelve to have grid positions) 20:00 Race Start Security of the race will be managed by race marshals from MJ Events Support and Welsh Cycling. Pits area Support cars must be branded with prominent team identification. Finish - Presentation of 1 st - 2 nd -3 rd and the series leader on the podium at the finish line, Media interviews will take place immediately after the presentation at the finish area. There are toilets in the car park near the start:. Anybody urinating in public will be disqualified from the race and a possible fine. (rider fined 100:00 at Abergavenny for this offence) Medical Control A number of competitors may be called upon to provide samples for antidoping control. The numbers/names of those required will be displayed near to the finish and at the Anti-Doping Control Station. It is the responsibility of each and every rider to check if he is required to attend the control. It should be noted that this applies to every rider who completes the signing on procedure and that there is no exception should anyone retire during the event. Non-finishers may be equally subject to testing.

6 SERIES REGULATIONS Rider Gridding Riders must be positioned appropriately on a grid at the start of each event, in the following order: i. Current National Elite Men s Circuit Race Champion ii. Winner of the previous year s event iii. National Series Leader followed by the next ten classified riders iv. Riders representing UCI registered Trade Teams v. Riders representing BC Elite National Teams vi. All other riders 19:45 The top twelve riders to assemble on the Start/Line prior to gridding for interviews by the commentator (only the top twelve to have grid positions). There are no Laps out Overall Classifications Elite Circuit Series points shall be awarded for finishing positions as below: The overall winner of series will be the rider who gains the highest total number of points across each series respectively Position Prize Points First Second Third Fourth Fifth Sixth Seventh Eighth Ninth Tenth Eleventh Twelfth Thirteenth Fourteenth Fifteenth Sixteenth Seventeenth Eighteenth Nineteenth Twentieth Team Classification The Team Classification for each race will be determined by the finishing position of the three best placed riders in each team. Points will be assigned as per the individual standings. Team classification points will be awarded to riders in the top 20 positions. See National Circuit Series Regulations for further clarification
