It is traditionally held in December and the host gets to select the date that works best for them. Our fabulous Social Committee comes in to help setup and cleanup, so hosting is a breeze. You just provide your beautiful home, plus you don t have to be concerned with finding a parking place! It is obvious he is a plant-lover because of the number and wide variety of plants in the yard. Sago Palms accent the corners of the house. In the center of this bed near the drive is a large fountain with Bird of Paradise, Purple Fountain Grass, and Queen Palms framing it on both sides. Vinca is blooming in the planter box that includes the mail box. Japanese Blueberry bushes accent the bed on the street corner and Crepe Myrtles are planted near the house on the side. 4 August Recipe Looking for a new way to eat your veggies? Here is a fun way to eat zucchini squash Crispy Baked Zucchini Fries INGREDIENTS: 2-3 small zucchini, sliced into fry shapes 1/4 cup flour 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/2 cup milk 1 cup breadcrumbs 1/4 cup parmesan cheese DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 425F. Lightly grease a cooling rack, place it on a baking tray, and set aside. Set up an assembly line: flour and spices in one bowl, milk in another, and breadcrumbs in a third. Dip each zucchini stick in the flour, then the milk, then the breadcrumbs. Place on the cooling rack. Bake minutes, or until desired crispiness is reached. Makes fries. Serve with ranch dressing or marinara sauce for dipping! Bon appétit! Kids Cross-Country Team s Season Starts September 10th The Northwest Flyers Track Club Youth Cross-Country Team kicks off the fall season with registration and a mandatory orientation for parents and athletes on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. Registration will be held at Cypress Creek High School, 9815 Grant Rd., Houston, TX. The first practice will be held at the Cypress Creek YMCA on Thursday, September 12. The Northwest Flyers Track Club is a member program of USA Track and Field (USATF), the national governing body for track and cross country. The club is in its 26th year in the northwest Houston area. Ages 6-18 may participate in the team, and both beginners and experienced runners are welcome.
