5 GENERAL RULES AND REGULATION 1. RULES The 32 nd National Senior Karate Championship will be conducted in accordance with the New Rules of the World Karate Federation (WKF) Version DATE 8 th 10 th June VENUE Putrajaya Sports Complex, Presint EVENTS As attached in Appendix A 5. ACCOMMONDATION & TRANSFER Due to poor response from our affiliates for the past National Championships, the organizing committee has decided NOT to take responsible on booking of accommodation & transfer. However, the organizing committee shall assist in providing the necessary information. 6. 6 COMPETITION REGULATION 1. TECHNICAL ORGANIZATION Malaysia Karate Federation (MAKAF) is responsible for and full control of the technical organization of the Karate competition. 2. DRAWING OF LOTS The drawing of lots will be conducted by officials appointed by MAKAF. The draw will be computerized. 3. DURATION OF BOUT The official duration of Kumite matches will be two (2) minutes for Female, three (3) minutes for Male, while medal deciding matches is three (3) minutes for Female and four (4) minutes for Male. 4. DRESS CODE All contestants and team officials (coaches, managers, etc), Referees and Judges must wear the prescribes uniforms as defined in Article 2 of the WKF Rules (Version 7.1) 5. EXPENSES 5.1 : Participation Fee RM50 Individual event & RM100 Team events 5.2 : Air Fare each participants is responsible for airline ticket from and to Kuala Lumpur 5.3 : Lunch for all participants are provided 5.4 : Accommodation and all transfer are to be arranged by the respective teams. 6. SAFETY EQUIPMENT 6.1 : Hand Mitts, Shin and foot protection, mouth guard, body protector (Male & Female) and female chest guard are compulsory 6.2 : All the above item are shall be provided by the athletes themselves. 7. VICTORY CEREMONY 7.1 : The victory ceremonies shall normally be held after the competition of all events. 7.2 : First Prize : Gold medals to the first winner in each category Second Prize : Silver Medals to Contestant placed in the second in each category Third Prize : Two (2) Bronze Medals to the 3 rd place winners in each category 8. CLOSING DATE 8.1 : The closing date for all entries will be on 1 st June : The organizing committee wishes to have your reply on participation, once you have received the championship details.
