5 MESSAGE TO MEMBERS WELCOME TO THE ALL NEW CAMS SPEED READ FOR 2016 As much as we are focused forward on 2016, I was pleased to look back and celebrate our 2015 season with the CAMS Night of Champions Gala Dinner. Attended by over 300 of our members, it was a good opportunity to reflect on what was a standout year for our sport. From our champions at the top of the sport right through to the grassroots level, it was a night to celebrate Australian motor sport as one community competitors and officials alike. It was pleasing to hear from those attending the night the positivity and enthusiasm shared for the future of our sport, and that is backed up with more Australians participating across all levels than ever before. and CAMS wishes all of our Australians racing overseas the best of luck for the year ahead. The Shannons Nationals, with CAMS now entrusted to manage the series is an exciting new part of CAMS. Whilst it s an amazing opportunity for CAMS, it is really designed for our members to be able to compete at a national level via an affordable and accessible model. Likewise, we hope to make the Shannons Nationals more spectator oriented so more individuals and families can watch quality motor racing at an affordable price. Thank you to all of our members for their ongoing support and passion for our sport. I, and the entire CAMS team, look forward to your contribution on and off the track this coming year. CAMS CEO Eugene Arocca Another milestone for CAMS will be the honouring of our past with the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame later this month. CAMS, alongside Motorcycling Australia, Karting Australia, ANDRA and Speedway Australia will induct 30 legends of our sport. The big events such as Adelaide s Clipsal 500 and Melbourne s Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix will put motor sport at the forefront of all sports fans minds this month, but the year has already flown by with plenty of motor racing across the country keeping us busy. I d like to congratulate all drivers, teams and especially our army of officials who completed another successful Bathurst 12 Hour in It is fast becoming one of the must-do races not only in Australia, but also gathering a reputation as a feature international event. As advocates for the sport, CAMS is conscious of the need to ensure the development of our young drivers for the future. I am incredibly proud that five Australian Formula 4 graduates Luis Leeds, Thomas Randle, Harry Hayek, Zane Goddard and our inaugural champion Jordan Lloyd will be racing overseas this year. These five drivers are just some of the many across circuit racing and rallying who are taking on the rest of the world, A good opportunity to reflect on what was a standout year for our sport SPEED READ 5

6 GENERAL NEWS CHELSEA ANGELO: NEVER S A Y NEVER As we sit down with one of the female rising stars of motor sport, it is hard to believe that Chelsea Angelo has not raced for nearly 12 months. The 20-year-old has managed to turn her luck around in a year, scoring a drive with Dragon Motor Racing and now working with the team full-time. Her secret to keeping sane while not being on track? Staying motivated. It was pretty tough being on the sidelines last year, not being able to race for 12 months was pretty hard, so it was really important to keep myself motivated for hoping to do something for the following year, Angelo said. It was pretty tough to keep up the motivation but I had the support from my parents to keep pushing me and keep myself motivated being in the gym five days a week and having a couple of test days last year to prepare myself in the car to be ready for Having that year off last year definitely made me realise how much I really wanted to have a career in motor sport. This month now marks 12 months since the former Formula 3 racer made her debut in the highly competitive Dunlop Series category. It ll be my third attempt at Clipsal [500 Adelaide] and the second time in the Dunlop Series so it s good to know the track really well and now I am in a full-time season with Dragon it should be a good year, Angelo explained. Jumping out from an open-wheeler into saloon cars is a pretty big difference, being physically fit is more important so doing all of my training from last year will hopefully help for this year. Being a strong advocate for women in motor sport, the rising star is a role model for young females trying to make their mark in the industry and usually heads to the local kart track to look out for the next big female star. I ve seen a whole bunch of girls trying to pursue their careers in motor sport and it s definitely good considering how male dominated this industry is and it s good to see the girls coming through the ranks, Angelo said. There s definitely a couple of weekends where I will make an appearance whether it s at Todd Road or Puckapunyal where I used to race and see these young girls racing and I definitely want to help them achieve their goals 6 CONFEDERATION OF AUSTRALIAN MOTOR SPORT

7 Angelo believes this is a step in the right direction for the male dominated sport. It s good to see that V8 Supercars is supporting women in motor sport it s good to see upcoming and young females pursue their career in V8 Supercars and I think it s a great idea, Angelo continued. There s definitely going to be a lot of attention especially with us two females in the Dunlop Series this year, but my main focus is to do really well this year and get used to the car. Women of Australian Motor Sport Chairperson Samantha Reid congratulated Chelsea on her involvement in the second-tier V8 Supercars category, as well as joining other female racer Renee Gracie. because I can see that they are in a male dominated sport and I want to see them progress through motor sport. The number of women participating in motor sport is growing each year, and recently V8 Supercars announced that teams who choose a female driver after the 2017 season and beyond will receive support from the championship. We can t forget it s a fiercely competitive field and they are still building their experience and learning these cars. The last woman to contest a whole championship in the Dunlop Series was Leanne Tander back in 2001 and 2002, so to go so long and now have two women competing in the series is exciting for women in motor sport, Reid said. Both girls have worked incredibly hard to get there and their determination and commitment will inspire other young drivers to pursue their dreams. Whilst all eyes will be on their performance, we can t forget it s a fiercely competitive field and they are still building their experience and learning these cars. They have both shown they are highly talented drivers so I m sure in 2016 we ll see them continue to move their way up the grid. The first round of the V8 Supercars Dunlop Series kicks off on the streets of Adelaide for the Clipsal 500 on March 3-6. SPEED READ 7

8 GENERAL NEWS MELBOURNE CELEBRATES 21 YEARS OF FORMULA 1 This year marks 21 years that Melbourne has hosted the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park, after claiming the race from the streets of Adelaide in To celebrate this milestone, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation have collaborated with Melbourne s food and art scene to bring the Grand Prix to life with the F1 Park After Dark. The new street culture precinct titled M-Lane is the latest fan attraction to be added to the off-track line up at this year s event, and will include food from iconic restaurants, performances by Melbourne musicians and live painting by international artists on shipping containers. Melburnians have a real passion for food and sport, so what better way to cater for this than to recreate Melbourne s laneways in pop-up form at Australia s biggest pop-up event, Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO Andrew Westacott said. As well as the food, street art and music, the 2016 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix will also feature on-track action from the V8 Supercars Challenge, Ultimate Speed Comparison, Historic Demonstration, Porsche Carrera Cup, Australian GT and stunt shows throughout the event. 9 RICCIARDO IS READY CAMS Ambassador and Australian Formula 1 star Daniel Ricciardo says he s going into this year s race with a new approach, following a challenging 2015 season. Ricciardo managed two podiums and eighth place in the 2015 World Drivers Championship, and says he has adopted a cautious mindset after last year s disappointment. My mindset has changed this year in terms of setting targets, Ricciardo said. Deep down I know what my goals are, but I don t want to say, for example, that by the fourth race I ll have a podium. I just want to drive as fast as I can and take it as it comes. The Red Bull racer also mentioned that the opening of the season on home turf is a privilege and something he ll never take for granted. The first year, you get in the car and you re exhausted and it s only Friday! Ricciardo continued. That s managing the more stressful side of racing at home, but it s awesome having all of that extra support to start the season there. It makes me more motivated to get going and make sure I arrive in Melbourne in the right shape and right frame of mind. Did you know that Albert Park wasn t the only place to host the Australian Grand Prix in Victoria? With the support of major sponsor Burson Auto Parts, CAMS formally recognised series and national champions alongside those who have made a long standing contribution to Australian motor sport. David Mawer commenced the night s ceremony by receiving the Phil Irving Award for his services to motor sport engineering. I ve worked with some extremely talented people over the years, and I ll be forever grateful that I have them, Mawer said. Simon Bulasch s heroic efforts in rescuing two drivers out of their cars after a start line collision at Hidden Valley Raceway that saw the Northern Territory racer honoured with the Donald Thomson Award. Together we re a huge group of passionate and hard working volunteers in a very unique position to contribute directly creating safe and successful motor sport events. Locally, Peter Castledine was also honoured as the 2015 CAMS Australian Official of the Year. Porsche driver Mark Webber also conveyed his thanks to the support received back in Australia for his 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship in a video message. Bob Glindemann OAM received the Award of Merit for his outstanding contribution to Australian motor sport commercially and at an administrative level over many years. Life Membership honours were given to Ross Tapper, Steve Ashton and Adrian Stafford for their long-standing contribution to motor sport spanning over multiple decades. Not just to accept this award but being nominated by my fellow competitors, I consider them to be family, it s a very good feeling. Very honoured to be here, Bulasch said. Australian Rally Championship driver Molly Taylor was awarded with the Peter Brock Medal for her achievements as an ambassador for rallying and female participation in motor sport. I m incredibly overwhelmed to have been selected and I think I read the letter CAMS sent me about ten times before I believed it wasn t a mistake, Taylor said. It truly means a lot and I ll do everything that I can to live up to what it represents. Australia s international achievements were also recognised, with Belinda Taylor receiving the honour of the FIA Best Marshal of the Season for I am incredibly proud to receive this award tonight, and consider it a reflection on the entire Australian officialing community, Taylor said. Tom Warwick and Geoff Morgan received Membership of Honour awards in recognition of their achievements in supporting young Australians via the CAMS Foundation. CAMS Foundation supported driver Joey Mawson was awarded as the Young Driver of the Year, after securing an impressive third place finish overall in the 2015 German ADAC Formula 4 Championship. Motor sport media identities were also honoured, with Max Stahl, Mike Raymond and Bill Tuckey receiving Media Service Awards. John Morris took out the Photograph of the Year, with Bruce Thomas claiming Photographer of the Year honours. Speedcafe s Stefan Bartholomaeus took home both Journalist of The Year and Story of the Year (Online & Print), while Fox Sports Greg Rust won the Story of The Year (Television) for his exclusive interview with DJR Team Penske pilot Marcos Ambrose. 12 DOUBLE CIRCUIT PAGE SPREAD BATHURST RATED AS WORLD CLASS Radio Le Mans broadcaster John Hindhaugh has rated the Bathurst 12 Hour as one of the staple events in world motor sport. As we ve seen in the last four years and culminating in this year s event, what it s done is it has almost immediately placed itself within the hierarchy of world events that people want to do, Hindhaugh said. Mount Panorama is one of the places that doesn t disappoint. You have it up there, it s right on a pedestal isn t it, and then you go there and it doesn t disappoint and in fact you go Oh my god, it s even better than I even imagined. The inclusion of GT3 cars in recent years and the growing reputation of the race has coincided with a change in perception on the talents of Australian drivers across world motor sport. For too long the V8 Supercar drivers have been dismissed by global motor sport because Oh, they just do Aussie V8s, Hindhaugh said. Well we ve seen haven t we and the Bathurst 12 Hour has been absolutely instrumental in this is all of a sudden V8 Supercar drivers they re getting rated as FIA Gold and Platinum and people are going Oh yeah these guys are good. These guys are very good. And I think that is one of the things that this race, and the GT3 side of the 12 Hour, is really doing a good job for Australian motor sport. And I think that s a slightly unintended consequence but it s a good one nevertheless. Legendary marques such as Audi, Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley and McLaren perceive the Bathurst 12 Hour event as a significant event in world sports car racing. The Bathurst 12 Hour has become one of the key races in the GT racing calendar, and that is clear to see from the list of teams and drivers on the grid, coming from all over the world, McLaren GT Sporting Director Bas Leinders said. For me personally, the profile of the race has been increasing significantly, and it is one I have been keen to be part of for the past few years. For McLaren, the iconic marque s involvement in Australia carried on in 2016 with Tekno Autosports, three-car squad. This was the first outing for Tekno with McLaren GT, and it has set a very high level going forward, but one which I am confident the partnership of Tekno and McLaren GT can build on, Leinders said. 12 CONFEDERATION OF AUSTRALIAN MOTOR SPORT

13 CIRCUIT RECORD ENTRY LIST FOR PHILLIP ISLAND CLASSIC The 27th running of the Phillip Island Classic Festival of Motorsport on March will feature over 540 historic touring, sports and open-wheel race cars. With the fleet of historic cars spanning across eight decades and capacity fields, there will be constant racing over the three-day meet. Feature races will include a 10-lap event for Historic Touring Cars on Saturday, and similar 10-lap sprints for sports cars and open-wheelers on Sunday. There will be non-stop racing on Friday afternoon and 9 to 5 over the weekend, said Victorian Historic Racing Register (VHRR) President Ian Tate. Thirty thundering V8-engined Formula 5000 cars will be on display, with Formula 1 cars from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s to hit the track. The ex-alan Jones Williams FW06, the first car produced by the combination of Frank Williams and Patrick Head for the 1978 World Championship, has been kindly loaned from the car s enthusiastic UK owners, Andrew and Margaret Wareing. This year s event will also commemorate the 100 Years of BMW celebrations, with the BMW Club of Victoria hosting a massive display of BMW history at the circuit. Event Patron and four-time Australian Touring Car Champion Jim Richards will race his own ex-team JPS BMW M3, the same car he drove in the early rounds of the 1987 Australian Touring Car Championship. A record nine ex-jps Team BMW touring cars will join the field alongside the legendary 1979 BMW M1 Procar. To help run this fantastic event, the VHRR invites volunteers to assist with duties in pit lane, grid, marshalling and paddock areas. 14 RALLY LOCALS CLAIM TARGA HELLYER GORGE WIN Tasmanians Trevor Macleod and Scott Hunter have claimed the first Targa win of 2016 in the Targa Hellyer Gorge. The Subaru duo were clear winners in the GT class, 40-seconds ahead of ACT pairing Barrie Smith and Col Trinder in their Audi TT RS despite only claiming two stage victories. We ve only been doing Targa events for 12 months, so we re ecstatic to finish first here, Macleod said. It s great to be driving on such brilliant closed roads and it s a fantastic warm up for Targa Tasmania. Tasmanians Crichton Lewis and Adam Kudra finished a further 21-seconds back in third place in another 2010 Subaru WRX STi. In the Classics, Drew and Fletcher Kent claimed a 26 second win aboard their 1971 Ford Falcon GT. Bede Clifton and Will Gordon impressed in the Rookie GT class, with a 70-second win aboard a Renault Megane RS265. The Hellyer Gorge road has a bit of everything and is a real challenge for competitors. The whole event was extremely well organised, and we had a ball, Clifton said. The Hellyer Gorge will feature again in the upcoming Targa Tasmania, starting on 11 April through to its conclusion in Hobart on 16 April. This year will be the 25th running of the iconic event. CLICK TO WATCH VIDEO GUY TYLER & STEVE FISHER TO TAKE ON JUNIOR BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP Guy Tyler and Steve Fisher 2015 South Australian Rally Champions Guy Tyler and Steve Fisher have announced they will make the leap to the Junior British Rally Championship. Tyler s journey began after discovering a driver vacancy posted on Facebook with the Vauxhall Motorsport Junior Rally Team. After an impressive test, Tyler s ability and passion lead to a drive in a Ford Fiesta R2 with Major Motorsport. During the interview and test drive I got to know the other applicants really well and once I knew how good the rallying is and how pumped up the championship is, there s no way I could go home and keep doing the same old stuff, Tyler said Tyler has been working with navigator Steve Fisher to raise funds needed to secure a drive. I m not the only Australian that will be competing but I am the only South Australian and I am really stoked to be able to represent our beautiful part of the world, Tyler said. I can t wait to get into what is going to be the best car I have ever driven in my career so far. The pair have raised all but $13,000 of running costs for the championship. They have created a crowdfunding campaign hoping that the Australian public will rally behind them before the first round in Wales on 5 March. 14 CONFEDERATION OF AUSTRALIAN MOTOR SPORT

15 TOURING CARS SHANE VAN VERSATILE We look at the career of Shane van Gisbergen, who seems to shine in all areas of motor sport and has the racing CV to back it up. It s not very often a driver claims one of the biggest race wins of the season in just February, but for Shane van Gisbergen the Bathurst 12 Hour win was just the beginning. In fact, van Gisbergen will be one of the drivers to watch in the V8 Supercars Championship this season, with the former Tekno Autosports racer to join forces with the world s most successful Touring Car driver Jamie Whincup as his teammate. The Kiwi, who at only 26 years of age will start his ninth season in the 2016 V8 Supercars Championship, made his debut back in 2007 with Team Kiwi as a fresh-faced 18 year old. Before he shot to stardom on the Australian racing scene, van Gisbergen competed on the dirt track in motocross, quarter midgets and also go-karts. He also won the New Zealand Formula Ford Championship in his first season, an incredible ten years ago. In that ten years, van Gisbergen has competed in not only Touring Cars, but also prestigious GT cars in both the Australian GT Championship and more recently in the Blancpain Endurance Series finishing fourth outright in his first year. During his spare time - we don t where he finds it - he competes in the Australian Drifting Grand Prix and mucks around on the quad bike. SPEED READ PREDICTS: SVG will be one to watch in 2016, and will definitely be a shoe-in for the V8 Supercars Championship title. DRIVERS WHO HAVE SWAPPED KEYS CASEY STONER The dual MotoGP World Champion was regularly seen flirting with ambitions of racing V8 Supercars. In 2011, Stoner was invited to sample a Triple Eight Commodore before inking a formal deal to race the Dunlop Series in It was a difficult transition for Stoner despite much fanfare, with a fifth place at Queensland Raceway being a highlight. PAUL MORRIS The 2014 Bathurst 1000 champion has kept race sharp after calling time on his full-time V8 Supercar career. Morris has made appearances in Speedway, and most recently driving the spectacular Stadium Super Trucks. WAYNE GARDNER The cc Motorcycle World Champion made the switch to touring cars in 1992 in the iconic Coca-Cola Commodore under his own team. A win at the inaugural V8 Supercars round at Calder Park in 1997, participation at the 1998 Le Mans 24 Hour and racing a Toyota in the Japanese Touring Car Championship were some of Gardner s four-wheeled highlights. JOHN SURTEES Surtees achievements on two and four-wheels is much admired across the world. The British racer claimed four 500cc Motorcycle World Championships throughout the late 1950s, before taking out the 1964 Formula 1 World Championship in a Ferrari. 16 OPEN WHEEL NEW INITIATIVES FOR FORMULA 4 The CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship recently announced several changes aimed at significantly reducing the cost of competing in After consulting with our teams, sponsors and other stakeholders, we have made a number of changes to the Championship to ensure it continues to launch the next generation of Australian racers onto the world stage, CAMS Chief Executive Eugene Arocca said. Five drivers from the 2015 championship have been confirmed to be racing overseas in From a high-performance talent development perspective we couldn t be happier with year one, Arocca said. Thomas Randle will compete in the BRDC Formula 4 in the UK and Jordan Lloyd in the USF2000 Series while Luis Leeds, Harry Hayek and Zane Goddard will all compete in the 2016 British MSA Formula, with Leeds signing with the Red Bull Junior Team. Arocca said CAMS mission was to ensure the category is accessible and sustainable from a cost perspective for talented young drivers. To this end, we have been able to secure a more favourable arrangement to insure the competing cars, meaning the full insurance cost will now be included in the new lease fee of $35,000. This, along with several other measures, will reduce the cost to the driver of around $165,000 (excluding testing), while maintaining a presence at some of Australia s best circuits and significant free-to-air and pay television coverage. Additionally, CAMS announced up to ten $50,000 scholarships for Formula 4 competitors in 2016, confirming that CAMS investment in the junior pathway via Formula 4 will be part of a continuing and stronger focus by CAMS on junior development of talent in Australia. Investing in our future champions is a responsibility that CAMS takes very seriously, said Arocca. AGI Sport Director Adam Gotch said the changes would help Formula 4 reach its potential. It is important the category is affordable and CAMS, with their partners, have done a great job to ensure this is the case. There is plenty of interest from talented drivers so we are really positive about this year and the future of the category. The opening round kicks off at Symmons Plains on April 1st. Drivers interested in joining the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship are encouraged to contact CAMS by following this link. KEY CHANGES CALENDAR: The Championship will be reduced from 7 to 6 rounds (total of 18 races), with the New Zealand Highlands Park round removed from the calendar. PRIZE MONEY: The prize money will be changed from one annual prize to a total of $17,500 available for each round. The winner of each round will receive $10,000, with second place receiving $5,000 and third $2,500 at the conclusion of every round. The Burson Auto Parts Rookie of the Year prize will again be awarded to the highest finishing Rookie (first year in the category). Competitors will be eligible to win the Championship and claim prize money up to the age of 21 (previously 19) and New Zealanders will also now be eligible. LEASE FEE/INSURANCE: The full insurance cost will now be included in the new (annual) lease fee of $35,000. TESTING: Testing will be carried out by teams (under supervision from CAMS) individually and one additional test will be permitted. SCHOLARSHIPS: Ten $50,000 scholarships have been confirmed for 2016; drivers must be aged 21 or under at the commencement of the competition year, and must commit to a financial return to CAMS over their professional racing career. 16 CONFEDERATION OF AUSTRALIAN MOTOR SPORT

17 DRIFT AUSTRALIAN DRIFTING GRAND PRIX AT QR Round 3 of the Australian Drifting Grand Prix kicked off at Queensland Raceway, with local driver Rob Whyte taking victory in his Nissan 370Z. The Queenslander sits in third place with one round to go in the series. With some extreme ups and downs yesterday we got up when it mattered most and stood proudly on the top step of the podium, Whyte said. This was one hard earned win and moved us up into third for the Championship with one round to go. Beau Yates was close behind finishing second to Whyte in the final battle, with Brendon Greaves rounding out the podium in third. 19 KARTING TOP TEN FOR SIDEBOTTOM AT WINTER CUP Australian champion karter Reece Sidebottom has recorded an impressive top ten finish at the 2016 CIK FIA Winter Cup at the South Garda circuit in Lonato, Italy. The 14-year-old competed at the event as a reward from Karting Australia for winning the Australian Kart Championship in 2015, and lined-up with the Ricciardo Kart team in the OK class. Sidebottom started his weekend by qualifying 20th, and endured a strong learning experience during the heat races with on-track incidents forcing him out of heat 2 and 3. The Victorian then began the pre-final in 31st, with the finishing positions of that race determining where he would start for the final. Sidebottom managed to pass more than half of the field, crossing the line in 15th, and moved up another five positions in the final to finish a credible 10th. Racing in Italy was nothing like I have ever done, the top 20 all had the potential to win, Sidebottom said. To come home with a top ten finish is very pleasing I learnt that to be fast you have to drive a lot harder than at home, and one mistake you can lose ten positions. It s amazing to work with all the set-ups over here, working with the team was a lot different to racing back home, it took a bit of to get used to but in the end we ended up with some good speed and a good result. Fellow Victorian racer Oscar Piastri, who is now based in Europe, also competed in the same event as Sidebottom, placing 11th in the final. Western Australian Jake Klarich had a strong run in the KZ2 class crossing the line in 11th for his pre-final, but was awarded a post-race 10-second penalty for his front fairing ending his chances for a strong result. Queenslander Marcus Flack finished 14th in the Mini Rok class B final. CAMS UPDATES ILLICIT DRUGS EDUCATION CAMS is pleased to support the new Illicit Drugs in Sport (IDiS) Online Education Programme, an initiative of the Australian Government. The program is designed to better assist and inform the motor sport community about the harms associated with illicit drugs. Free for anyone to access, IDiS Online Education seeks to provide practical tools and strategies to assist competitors, officials and support staff to make appropriate choices when faced with illicit drug issues. A number of difference courses are available including: IDiS athlete course follows the story of four athletes who have it all in front of them and demonstrates the impact of their decisions; IDiS coaches course provides the skills and knowledge coaches need to help athletes, set a behavioural standard, monitor it and take remedial action; IDiS officer course provides the resources for sports administrators to implement an IDiS programme within their sport; IDiS presenter course provides the resources required to deliver IDiS workshops for sporting organisations; and IDiS athlete role model course provides resources athletes need to deliver an IDiS workshop. InWolk have been working closely with CAMS to develop the new Member Portal on cams.com.au, which will go live later in The usability and functionality of many existing CAMS associated pages, including the existing portal and CAMSEventEntry (CEE), will be enhanced. We (CAMS) believe that the upgrades will make the CAMS member online experience much easier than it has been previously, CAMS CEO Eugene Arocca said. Entering CAMS events, renewing licences and updating personal information will all be possible within the new CAMS Member Portal. The CAMS Member Portal, currently used by thousands of Level 2 licence holders to apply or renew, will cater for renewals of Clubman and National Circuit, Rally and Off Road licences within the near future. Ricciardo s Racers Junior Drive Days are open to all CAMS Junior Licence Holders between the age of 12 and 17, and you can simply enter on CAMSEventEntry! There are also options to participate in your own car or a suppled car at the majority of events. 2. What skills will I learn? The activities are specifically designed and delivered by professional racing drivers, and you will learn the basics of motor sport with focus on skill development, car control, racing lines and race craft. There is also the opportunity to experience the thrill of being driven by a professional racing driver on a hot lap! 3. How much does it cost? $125 including lunch. 4. Can I be a beginner on track and still attend? Yes, the activities are designed to build up skill for drivers who have little or no experience on track. It is advised that entrants have basic understanding of operating a vehicle to maximise the value of the activities.
