The Team Information Centre will be open from 7:30 hrs to hrs on training days and from 7:00 hrs to 19:30 hrs on racing days. Mailboxes for all national federation are located in the Information Centre. Information includes official announcements and general notices, and start lists and results. Training times during racing days: From 7:30 hrs. to 30 min. before the start of the first race and from 30 min. after the finish of the last race until 19:30 hrs. 7 Practice starts Crews will be able to do practice starts during training on 7 th September, 2018, from 10:30 hrs to 11:30 hrs. Para-rowing Practice starts: on 7 th and on 8 th September from 13:30 to 15:00 hrs. Traffic rules for practice starts can be collected from the Teams mailboxes at the Information centre. Control Commission The Control Commission is located between the incoming and outgoing pontoons. The Control Commission will be in operation during all times the course is officially open. Crew changes On arrival, Team Managers will receive a list of their crews as entered. Should there be any changes in the crew composition, seating order or errors in spelling. Before the Draw the Crew Change Form must be completed and submitted to the FISA representative in the Accreditation office. For changes after the Draw contact the FISA office. Team Managers must confirm their crews by 12:00 hrs on Saturday, 8 th September Crew photos Team managers of the athletes that have not yet had their photographs taken for the FISA athlete database will be notified. These athletes should report to the accreditation centre and have their photographs taken and passports scanned prior to issuing accreditation World Rowing Championships Plovdiv - Team Managers Manual 7

8 Boat numbers Boat numbers will be distributed to crews on the outgoing pontoon and will be collected again at the incoming pontoon. GPS Devices All boats must be fitted with a base plate to hold the GPS timing devices. These plates will be fixed to the boats by a team of OC volunteers on Friday, 7 th September, 2018 and Saturday, 8 th September, 2018 in the boat weighing area. Please ensure they are in place before the first day of racing. Advertising Please check the FISA Rules of Racing and related Bye-Laws to ensure that your racing uniforms and boats comply with the advertising rules. Boat weighing Boat weighing will take place in one of the hangars at the permanent boathouse building (see the map of the venue). Test scales will be available from Saturday, 8 th September, 2018, and will be open at all times that the venue is open, except during racing. Athlete weighing Athlete weighing will be located in one of the hangars at the permanent boathouse building (see the map of the venue). 9 Spares races Spares races will be held on Saturday, 8 th September, 2018, at 12:00 hrs. Entry forms are available from the FISA desk in the Accreditation office. Entry forms should be submitted by Friday, 7 th September, at 16:00hrs at the latest. Para-Rowing training PR1 1x and PR2 2x are allowed in the middle lanes only during Para-Rowing training times. Classification of Para-Rowers Both physical and visual classifications will occur on 8 th September. Physical classification will take place in Hangar 13. The visual classification will be held at VISUAL CLINIC LUKSOR 47A Bulgaria Blvd, 4003 Plovdiv, Transportation to the visual classification will be arranged via the transportation request form. E. TEAM FACILITIES AND SERVICES Boat storage The boat racks are situated in the boathouse area (see the map of the venue). The Organising Committee will assign boat racks for all boats. Teams are responsible to make sure that their boats are safely tied to the racks at all times and are in no-risk to be damaged due to adverse weather conditions. 10 storage area - see the map of the Venue. There is also a boat repair workshop in the permanent boathouse building. Launch pontoons There are two outgoing and two incoming pontoons. Boat washing No chemical detergents or other sources of environmental pollutants should be used during boat washing. The boat washing area is in front of the boathouse. Ergometers Ergometers are provided at the ground floor of the boathouse building - see the map of the Venue. Changing rooms The changing rooms are situated at the ground floor of the boathouse building - see the map of the Venue. Bag storage There will be a secure area next to the changing rooms for athlete s bag storage. The bag drop-off will be open during the official opening times of the venue. Sanitary facilities/toilets There are toilets and showers in the changing rooms at the ground floor of the boathouse building. 11 Viewing for Athletes Athletes can view the races from the far end of the grandstands (if seats are available). Additional benches will be provided if the seats at the second grandstand are sold out. Athletes rest area A resting area is provided at the ground floor of the boathouse building (see the map of the Venue). Coach viewing During training coaches can cycle on both sides of the course. During racing, coaches can only cycle on the road at the opposite of the finish tower side. Bicycles cannot be ridden through the boathouse area, coaches must dismount and walk the bicycles through the boathouse area. Bicycles can be pre-booked by the OC WRCH2018 or hired from the rental service point located next to the permanent boathouse building (see the map of the venue). Price: 10 euros per day per bicycle. F. MEDICAL FACILITIES AND SERVICES Emergency In case of a (medical) emergency, immediately contact the Medical centre at Regatta Venue. Medical centre Manager: Dr. Asen Shumkov: Mobile The Medical Centre is located in the permanent boathouse building and will be open during the opening times of the venue. All national federations are responsible for adequate insurance of their team members according to Rule 15 of the FISA Rules of Racing. 13 Anti-Doping-Control The anti-doping control test centre is located at the ground floor of the permanent boathouse building - see the map of the Venue. All anti-doping control tests will be conducted in accordance with WADA and FISA requirements. For all information about the Anti-Doping controls and procedures, please refer to the World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards available on the website and the FISA Anti-Doping Bye-Laws. Further information is available on the FISA website Massage The massage facility is located at the ground floor of the permanent boathouse building - see the map of the Venue. The Organising Committee does not provide physiotherapists. G. TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING SERVICES FOR TEAMS Transportation is free of charge only for the teams, which have booked accommodation through the organizing committee. The below mentioned services are provided to them: 1) Bus transfer from Sofia Airport/ Plovdiv Train Station to the hotels: All teams will be requested to share their travel details with the OC. Each team will be contacted by the Transportation Manager to confirm their transfer from the airport to their hotel World Rowing Championships Plovdiv - Team Managers Manual 13

14 2) Bus transfer from their hotels to Sofia Airport/ Plovdiv Train station. All teams are to complete the transportation request form 72 hours prior to their departure. Each team will be contacted by the Transportation Manager to confirm their transfer from their hotel to the airport. 3) Bus shuttles from the hotels to the course and back during the official opening of the venue. All teams will be requested by the Transportation Manager to complete the transportation request form each day, for the day that follows. It will be operational from Wednesday 5 th September, 2018 from 7:30 hrs to hrs on training days and from 7:00 hrs to 19:30 hrs on racing days. Arrival at Sofia Airport At Sofia Airport, a volunteer will welcome the teams at the airport to guide them to their hotel shuttles. 15 Transfer between accommodation and venue The buses will wait in front of your hotel. To go from the venue to the hotel you can get onto the buses behind the permanent boathouse building. The bus stop will be clearly marked with a BUS STOP sign. Teams requiring transport should submit a transport request form to the Transportation Manager by 14:00 hrs one day in advance. Before the official opening of the venue The official shuttle bus system will start operation from Wednesday, 5 th September, Before that period the transportation for teams will be available on request with a fee. From 5 th September, to 17 th September, 2018: The shuttle buses will run according to a prearranged schedule as follows: 5 th 8 th September: Buses will run at one hour intervals. 9 th 16 th September: Buses will run at 30 min/45 min. intervals during peak times. Team vehicles and parking Due to limited parking space at the venue, only teams who have booked their accommodation through the OC will be allowed vehicle access to the venue. Only teams who booked their accommodation through the Organising committee are allowed to enter and park their private (own or rented) vehicles at the regatta venue. In order to enter the regatta venue and park at the designated area - Parking 3, (P3) teams should only use entrance B and display a parking 2018 World Rowing Championships Plovdiv - Team Managers Manual 15

16 permit. If you have not yet requested your parking permit please do so by sending an to: com as soon as possible. Trailers and teams towing vehicles that will not be used during the event must be parked at the designated area parking 4 (P4). In order to enter the regatta venue, they should only use entrance B and display a parking pass. The pass can be collected at the Accreditation centre upon arrival at the venue. The parking for vehicles having a pass is located at a designated parking (see the map of the venue). Transportation of boats and parking Vehicles, used for pulling trailers will be allowed to park at a designated parking area (as shown on the pass) by presenting a parking pass, which contains details on the vehicle s brand, model and registration plate. Those vehicles that would NOT be used during the Championships could be parked at secured parking areas where they would be allowed to stay overnight. Those vehicles that would be used during the event would be parked during the day at different non-secured parking areas and would not be allowed to be parked there overnight. FOOD FACILITIES AND SERVICES Meal times At the accommodations: Breakfast: Lunch: Dinner: Lunch at the regatta venue: From 5 th September 16 th September: 06:00 09:00 hrs 11:30 15:00 hrs 18:00 21:00 hrs 11:30 15:00 hrs General information Teams, which have booked their accommodations through the OC, reside at selected hotels on a full-board basis. Breakfast and dinner are accounted for at the accommodation. Lunch will be available at the venue only unless a specific request is made by the team manager at least one day in advance. Teams wishing to take their lunch at the venue must cancel their lunch at the hotel and obtain a meal coupon at the team information centre at the venue. They must present a note from the hotel confirming the number of meals that have been cancelled. Teams will not be charged for the meal at the venue if they have cancelled their meal at the hotel 24 hours in advance. The athletes dining room at the regatta venue is located at the ground floor of the permanent building of the Finish Tower. It will start working on Wednesday, 5 th September. ACCREDITATION Accreditation office Manager: Marijana Yankulova Telephone: The accreditation office is located in the permanent building in front of the bus drop off area (please see the map of the venue) and is opened during opening times of the venue. General Accreditation opens on Wednesday, 5 th September, The opening times of the Accreditation Centre are as follows: From Wednesday, 5 th September to Saturday, 15 nd September: 08:00 19:00 hrs On Sunday, 16 th September: 08:00 13:00 hrs Team Managers are requested to make an appointment with the Accreditation Centre as early as possible. Athlete photos will be taken and passports will be checked when the accreditation card is collected. Late accreditation requests received after the accreditation deadline will be considered as late applications and will be handled by FISA. 21 FISA Commitment Form All competitors and team officials who have not already done so are required to sign the FISA Commitment Form. The form will be distributed to the Teams by FISA and should be returned to the FISA representative in the Accreditation Office before the Draw or in the FISA office after the Draw. K. Accreditation All media (local and international) should seek accreditation through FISA; through mediacenter). Accreditation applications close 24 th August, All media can pick up accreditation at the Accreditation centre in the permanent boathouse building (please see the map of the venue) starting from 5 th September, Interviews & press conferences Information on interview requests, press conferences and the mixed zone will be available in media information packets available at the pick-up of the accreditation in the accreditation office. 22 The FISA media staff will inform Team Managers ahead of time for interview requests to interview athletes. Mixed Zone After Final A, the order of priority for interviews with medal winning crews in this area is: 1. Host Broadcaster 2. Rights-holding television 3. Right-holding radio 4. Print Media The interview will be managed by the Mixed Zone manager. Athletes are encouraged to speak to the press when required. L. TELEVISION/RADIO Broadcasting All races will be recorded and broadcasted in a closed circuit system. All races will also be live streamed on the World Rowing website M. MISCELLANEOUS SERVICES Banking The currency in Bulgaria is leva/bgn. You can find a foreign exchange service at the accommodation sites. Internet & Wi-Fi Each hotel has its own arrangements concerning Wi-Fi. Please contact the reception desk at your hotel. At the venue, free Wi-Fi is available for teams in the boathouse area. 23 Car rental & Taxi services Visit the Team information centre for the possibilities concerning car rental. There will be a representative from the Taxi company at the information centre. Religious services For specific details, contact the Team Information Centre. Tourist information For information about (tours inside and outside) Plovdiv visit the Team Information Centre. N. GRANDSTANDS The grandstand for teams, friends & family and VIP s is located near to the finish line. Presidents Grandstand Each national federation is entitled to two Presidents Grandstand tickets for all racing days. These tickets will be distributed to team managers at the Accreditation office. Additional seats at the president grandstand are sold to the requesting federation for the price of 100 EURO for the whole duration of the championships on first come, first serve bases. You should seek additional tickets for the Presidents Grandstands through info@wrch2018.com. FISA Family Grandstand The FISA Family Grandstand is an area in the grandstand for the families and close friends of the athletes and will have 2018 World Rowing Championships Plovdiv - Team Managers Manual 23

24 the privilege of being seated in the best location, close to the finish line and the victory ceremony pontoon. A limited number of FISA family grandstand tickets will be available for purchase. FISA family tickets may only be purchased via your national federation. The price is 60 EURO for the whole duration of the event and includes a reserved seat. FISA family tickets can be collected from the entrance to the venue for spectators (the entrance south of the Plovdiv stadium, from Vladivostok Str.). You should seek tickets for the FISA Family Grandstands through your national Federation. Public General Grandstand The secondary spectators grandstand is located next to the permanent grandstand building. Seats in the secondary grandstand will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. There will be additional space (picnic area) for spectators at the venue. O. HOSPITALITY FACILITIES AND SERVICES Hospitality area The hospitality area will provide a hospitality service for the sponsors and the supporters of the event. 25 P. OFFICIAL CEREMONIES AND SOCIAL EVENTS Opening ceremony Location: the Roman Amphitheatre (Appendix 1) Date / Times: Saturday, 8 th September, 2018, 18:30 hrs. Transport: provided by the OC for teams who have booked their accommodation through the OC. Team managers have to book their transport request by 5 th September, 10:00 hrs in the transportation office or via sent to transport@wrch2018.com. More information on the pickup times will be available in the transport office. Victory ceremony Victory ceremonies will be held in front of the grandstand near the finish line, immediately after each Final A. Closing ceremony The closing ceremony will be held in front of the grandstands near to the finish line, after the last race of the regatta, Sunday, 16 th September, 2018 immediately after the last victory ceremony of the day. Nations Dinner The Nations Dinner will be held on Saturday, 15 th September, 2018 Location: TBC Transportation will be provided by the OC for the teams who have booked their accommodation through the OC. FISA CONGRESS The FISA Congress will be held on Monday, 17 th September from 8:30hrs at Congress Center Plovdiv International Fair Grounds. Registration will begin at 7.30 hrs. Transportation will be provided for those that book accommodation through the Organizing Committee. R. APPENDIX 1.
