4 Mlsn Street will be upgraded frm a tw lane rural radway t a fur lane divided street. Ditches will be eliminated and replaced by Land Drainage Sewers. Panet Rd. at Girdwd Cres. (existing lking Suth)

5 Imprvements include: 1 East and West sidewalks thrughut crridr Additin f bike lanes suth f Cncrdia Avenue. Panet Rd /Mlsn St between Munre Ave and Cncrdia Ave 3 Future additin f east side tw way bike path (adjacent t sidewalk), nrth f Cncrdia. 1 3 Mlsn St between Cncrdia Ave and Grassie Blvd

6 City f Winnipeg 2012 Cycling Map: Prject Area

7 Retail develpments, schls, parks, churches, hspital, and ther care facilities attract many pedestrians t this area. Users with mbility cnstraints, strllers, small children, visin r hearing impairments, etc. require specific accessibility cnsideratin. Cnsideratins include sidewalk ramps at intersectins and a cnsistent and cntinuus sidewalk netwrk. Detectable warning surface tiles t be installed at the intersectin f Mlsn Street and Cncrdia Avenue.

8 Gravel shulder bus stps will be replaced by cncrete bus pads cnnected t sidewalks. Transit stps may be mved t encurage passengers t crss Mlsn Street at safer lcatins.

9 1. Drivers currently experience cngestin / delay alng the Panet/Mlsn crridr primarily due t the existing cnfiguratin f the Mlsn/Cncrdia intersectin. 2. Rundabut analysis was undertaken at Cncrdia, Antrim/Timberline, and Tu Pel/Glden Eagle. Results indicated: 1. Cncrdia was a pr lcatin due t heavy pedestrian usage and als prximity t CPR tracks. 2. Antrim and Tu Pel wuld nt largely benefit. 3. The Mlsn/Cncrdia intersectin will remain signalized but will nw include left turn lanes, rightturn cut ffs, and tw thrugh lanes in all directins. Drivers will experience a significant reductin in delay. 4. Antrim/Timberline and Tu Pel/Glden Eagle intersectins will remain fur way stps as they currently functin well.

10 Radway and adjacent prperty is currently drained by ditches. Ditch drainage is undesirable in areas with high pedestrian and parking activity. Ditches restrict access t sidewalks and limit landscaping pprtunities. When the street is recnstructed ditches will be eliminated, radway lwered and run ff will be directed t catchbasins alng the curbed radway.

When the recently renewed asphalt pavement is due fr replacement it will be replaced with an urban cllectr street pavement with curbs. A separate bike path will prvide cnnectivity t Chief Peguis Trail. Mlsn St. at Antrim Rd. (lking nrth)
