2 Ohio Department of Transportation - District DRAFT CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM O hio s highways are essential to keeping and creating new jobs. With a mission to provide easy movement of people and goods from place to place, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is responsible for maintaining one of the largest transportation networks in the nation. Guided by ethical principles and accountability, ODOT works to improve safety, enhance travel and advance economic development. The following draft summary outlines those projects which are programmed for the 2019 construction season in ODOT District 9. With an estimated cost of more than $100 million, the construction program will consist of 71 new and ongoing preservation, maintenance and safety improvement projects to be sold and/or constructed through FY2019 and the first quarter of FY2020, and included in these are 20 projects in which the department is partnering with the respective county engineer s office. Due to production and planning variables, however, not all projects may be sold as proposed, and projects are subject to funding availability. Any cost estimates, sale dates or schedules cited in this document are subject to change, and estimated costs are the construction cost estimates established by District 9 s Planning & Design staff prior to bid letting; these do not include any preliminary engineering or right of way acquisition costs as applicable to the project. Projects listed as Local Government are those which are being administered by the Department of Transportation; additional information about these and other local projects can be obtained from the respective local agency. Additional information about these projects will be released as they are scheduled or awarded. 6 BROWN COUNTY CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROJECTS BRO-CR13 Bridge Replacement On North Pole Road, a new bridge construction to replace the existing covered bridge located between the overlap of TR 28 (Eagle Creek/Upper Eagle Creek roads. (The covered bridge will remain in place.) Traffic will be detoured locally by way of TR 28 and CR 49B. 10/18/18 $1,830,245 STATE GOVERNMENT PROJECTS BRO Bridge Located immediately west of the village of Georgetown. 03/18/19 $7,898,259 Replacement Traffic will be maintained in one, 10-foot lane in each direction BRO Resurfacing Between the intersection with US 62 in Aberdeen to the Adams County line. 8 HIGHLAND COUNTY CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROJECTS HIG-TR225B- Section On TR 225B (Tolle Road), between US 50 and SR 138. Traffic will be detoured via SR 04/01/19 $1,515, Improvement 138, CR 7 (Mad River Road) and US HIG-CR3- Various Pavement Marking At various locations on multiple county roads. Traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers, arrow boards and/or temporary signals. 08/19/19 $144,200 STATE GOVERNMENT PROJECTS HIG HIG Resurfacing On SR 138, from US 62 in Hillsboro to TR 288 (Rittenhouse Road), and on SR 753, from US 50 at Rainsboro to CR 25 (Paint Creek Road). Traffic will be maintained in one lane with the use of flaggers. 16 ROSS COUNTY CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROJECTS ROS-CR Bridge Repair On CR 60 (Westfall Road), two miles north of SR 28. Traffic will be detoured locally. 06/17/19 $238, ROS-CR1-Various Guardrail At various locations on multiple county roads. Traffic will be maintained in one lane $263,855 Locations Replacement with the use of flaggers, arrow boards and/or temporary signals. 10/18/ ROS-FR10 Slide Repair Slip repair on FR 10 in Tar Hollow State Forest.
