3 ABOUT US We will only believe we have done our job when we recognise and maximise each boxer s potential, change their lives for good and secure their future. In the world of boxing, XBP is one of the most successful boxing promotions in the country. Xaba Boxing Promotions (XBP) was established in 2007 under the wing of XPE. The business is owned by a Previously Disadvantaged Individual (PDI), the owner is a young black professional from rural areas of the Eastern Cape. The business is based in Mdantsane. Over the period of seven years the business has established a brand that everyone would love to be associated with in the Boxing Fraternity. In 2008 XPE received an Award for the most exciting and promising promoter from Boxing South Africa. 2

4 Xaba Promotions and events can without a doubt say this brand is a top boxing promoting brand not only in South Africa but in Africa as well, and we now have the most champions in the country signed by us. Since then, XBP has become the first promoters choice of any boxer or champion. All boxers have a vast interest to be associated with the XABA brand. XBP boasts of having World Championships, International Champions and South African Championships in the Province and are one of the Top 3 Promoters in South Africa. At XBP the boxer is not just an asset our boxers are our main asset. Under the wing of XBP is Xaba Boxing Club (XBC), which is based in Mdantsane. The company s BEE certification is Level 3. 3

5 OUR VISION Xaba Promotions and Events will not rest until it realises the integration of boxing as a sport in the mainstream economy of South Africa and Africa as a continent. XPE also seeks to foster relations and create a barrier-free corridor in the business of boxing amongst all stakeholders. XPE pursues to elevate South African and African boxers, help them in realising economic freedom in their lifetime and also help them realise their dreams of becoming world champions. 6 XABA BOXING PROJECT TEAM The execution of these activities, starting with the construction of concepts to the modelling and preparation of documents and the overall oversight, is carried out by the persons listed below. These individuals will from time to time interact with the officials assigned by the municipality in all communications that would have been decided upon by both parties. AYANDA MATITI Project Leader - Managing Director of Xaba Promotions and Events, and owner of Xaba Boxing Club. Qualified in Public Management and has a Bachelor s Degree in Public Management, Port Elizabeth Technikon. SIBONGILE MATITI Manager of External Stakeholders - Manager of relations of XPE with the stakeholders. Qualified in Bachelor of Social Science, Honours in Development Studies and Masters in Public Administration. LUYANDA KANA Match Maker - Matchmaking for Xaba Promotions since He holds valuable experience in the field and has been serving in the Provincial Ratings Committee (PRC) for professional Boxing for more than 6 years. THANDOKAZI LOQO Head of Legal - Responsible for analysing MOU and SLA, and for preparing contracts for boxers and any other contracts we may enter into with. Qualified in Bachelor of Law (LLB) UFH. Admitted as an advocate in

MAKWEDINA MATITI Chief Trainer of Professional Boxers - Former South African National Amateur Champion, former Professional Boxer and former Border Champion. MINIYAKHE SITYATHA Assistant Trainer - Former professional boxer and former undefeated junior Bantam South African Champion. He works with the chief trainee. CHUMA MATITIA Club Support Provider - Works very closely with Khangelani Jack. Responsible for the condition of all our amateur tournaments. KHANGELANI JACK Chief Trainer of Amateur Boxers - Responsible for the training of all amateur boxers in the club. Khangelani himself is a former professional boxer. 8
