Welcome to Joyful Soles Dance & Performing Arts! We are a Faith Based studio offering excellent Dance instruction to those planning to make dance a career and those dancing for pure fun.

1 Welcome to Joyful Soles Dance & Performing Arts! We are a Faith Based studio offering excellent Dance instruction to those planning to make dance a career and those dancing for pure fun. Whether you re still trying to tell your right foot from your left or you can leap through the air like gazelle, we have a class for you. All are welcome! This packet contains everything you need to Register and prepare for classes. Please Contact Miss Tami at or joyfulsolesdance@live.com to discuss the best class options for your dancer. We look forward to welcoming you to our Joyful Soles family. Dancing is the best overall exercise for body, mind and soul. It s no wonder Psalm150:4 encourages us to praise Him with the timbrel and DANCING!

In order to pay our Lease and Teachers on time we rely on the faithful payments of our students. Thank you! Our bank charges $25 for returned checks. If your check is returned, we regretfully must ask you to cover this charge in addition to your unpaid tuition. Thank you. Sometimes life turns a corner we don t expect. In the event you can no longer attend classes, please notify the studio, both verbally and in writing, 10 days before the 1st of the coming month so I can adjust our budget. If notification isn t received by the studio as stated, you will be responsible for paying tuition for the coming month, even if your student doesn t attend class. 4 Medical & Photo Release Medical Release If you, your student or a family member is involved in a Joyful Soles Dance class, activity or outreach you are hereby advised that our organization does not carry Workman s Compensation Insurance for participants, volunteers or family members. If you, your student or a family member should suffer an injury at our studio, participating in our classes, activities or outreaches, you will be personally responsible for all medical or injury related expenses. I give permission for my student, whose birthdate is, to participate in classes, activities and outreaches at Joyful Soles Dance. I also give permission to the instructor or designated adult supervisor in charge to secure emergency medical treatment for the student named above. I also agree to hold Joyful Soles Dance, and/or their assignees harmless in the event of an injury or accident. Photo Release Joyful Soles Dance may want to use a photo or video of your student participating in classes or outreaches on our website. Should the opportunity arise, we may also choose to use it other forms of advertising. The statement below gives us permission to do so. Please be advised that we have your student s safety in mind. Your student s name will not be published with their photos and we will verbally confirm your agreement before posting. I authorize and consent that Joyful Soles Dance shall have the absolute right to copyright, publish, use, sell or assign any and all photographic portraits or pictures, television spots, movie films, videotapes and/or sound recordings, or any part thereof, they have taken or made of my student: (name) or in which my student may be included in whole or in part. 5 Dress Code 1 Corinthians 6:19 NLT At Joyful Soles, our goal is to honor God in all we do. This includes honoring Him with our appearance. Please dress modestly. Ladies: All shirts and leotards must come up to (or just below) the collarbone. If shorts are worn, bike-shorts or leggings must be worn underneath them. Gentleman: Pease wear regular or athletic T-Shirts, or dance wear and soft, light weight sweat pants. No Tank Tops please. Shirts should either be long enough to stay down during warm ups and tricks or to be tucked in. Bike shorts or dance supports are required under gym shorts. Required Classroom Attire: Ballet: Girls: Black leotards, pink tights, ballet wrap or shorts and pink ballet shoes. You may wear a shrug or shirt over your leotard, Hair: worn in a bun. Guys: As stated above with Black Ballet Shoes Jazz: Girls: Black Leotard, Black Jazz shoes and your choice of black jazz pants, Capri pants, or tights & wrap. Hair: worn away from face. Guys: As stated above with Black Jazz shoes. Tap: Girls : Black Leotard, Black Tap Shoes and your choice of black jazz pants, Capri pants, or tights & wrap. Hair: worn away from face. Guys: As stated above with Black Tap Shoes. Hip Hop/Break Dance: Guys and Girls: Dance-wear may be looser/baggier, Shirts must stay down or tucked in during tricks. Jazz sneakers (for studio use only), wrist guards, and knee pads. Hair: worn away from face. Theatre: Guys and Girls: Comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.

6 Classroom & Attendance Expectations Classroom Behavior Please arrive 15 minutes early to dress for class. Classes will begin on time. Students must wear proper dance clothing and dance shoes (no street clothes or shoes). Only water bottles filled with water are allowed in the classroom. Please leave other beverages, food, jewelry and toys with your street clothes in our waiting area. (Theatre Students may wear Street Clothes and clean shoes) Thank you. The studio is a place of education. We expect students to demonstrate respectful and courteous behavior toward our instructors and other students at all times. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Luke 6:31 Attendance Creating a memorable production requires commitment. The success of your class and the quality of your presentation depend on you. We understand students become ill or the weather makes travel unsafe. Life happens We simply ask that you make dance a priority and be in attendance. Students who miss an excessive number of classes may be removed from the class choreography. We will not be able to refund your production fees as purchases and financial commitments are agreed to well before our productions. Additional family members =$35 per month Joyful Soles does not offer a Drop In option. We are happy to offer one FREE TRIAL class for any of our Regular Classes. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE TEACHER APPROVAL AND SIGNED FORMS BEFORE ATTENDING CLASSES. Our prices are monthly installments paid toward your total tuition for our season. There are 9 installment payments in this session. They do not vary regardless of holidays or the number of classes per month. Monthly Tuition Installments Class Monthly Length Payment 45min 45. 1hr- Preschool Annual Dance Production Fees; K-Adult = $150 for the first family member; $55 for each additional family member; Pre-School Dancers = $100 for the first pre-school family member and $35 for each additional pre-school dancer. There is an additional "Company" production fee of $95 for "Company Dancers" in The Little Glass Slipper. Annual Home School Theatre Production Fees = $45 for the first Actor; $15 for each additional family member. It's our desire to see everyone dancing.
