4 11 unexcused absences will result in a denial of credit for the semester. An absence note must be brought to the Attendance Clerk s Office within 3 days. Any student arriving more than 30 minutes late is considered absent for that period.

5 q Ditching class or leaving class without permission is considered truancy. q Continued truancy will result in an RPC and a citation to juvenile court q Forged notes and fraudulent phone calls will result in a student being considered truant, in addition to a Deans referral / RPC / Suspension

6 Students are expected to be on time for all classes. Students will have 4 minutes during each passing period. 11 COURTYARD/QUAD BEHAVIOR Hands Off Policy. Walk, do not run, to class. Do not stand/walk on planters. Do not participate in horseplay or play fighting. Teasing is Harassment/Bullying Violations will result in citation / referral *If you think that your behavior choice might be wrong, DON T DO IT!

14 START OF LUNCH Get to lunchroom as soon as possible. Do not hang out at your lockers. Students must WALK to and from the cafeteria and within the lunchroom. Stand in a single file line, wait to proceed to the lunch window, restroom breaks are allowed. END OF LUNCH Restroom should be used while in the cafeteria, before final dismissal. Students will be dismissed by tables to proceed into the quad area. Students must exit through the MAIN cafeteria doors or near the Jungle Hut. 1. Do you have money in your account? 2. NO FAST FOOD brought in by parent, friend 3. Cell phones: you are permitted to use cell phones in the cafeteria. Use at your own risk.

15 CAFETERIA BEHAVIOR Lunch Lines Stand behind the blue line (only one student may be served at the window at a time). Do not take/give cuts, save places, or buy food for others. Do not horseplay in line. Lunch Tables Remain seated when not in line. NO saving seats. Use good table manners; do not touch another s food. Keep legs under table. Keep the noise level down. Clean up your area after you have finished. No food/drink outside or in the restrooms.

16 Not to be used during instructional time. CANNOT be on vibrate. Not to be used during passing periods/in between classes. Do NOT take pictures w/phone May be used before school, after school, and during lunch time in designated area ONLY. No Cell Use in the Locker Rooms!

17 Confiscated Items: We SEE it we TAKE it. Nuisance items (Phones/Ipods/ Hats/etc...) are to be Confiscated and held in the deans office. Confiscated items must be retrieved by your parent/guardian (Parents must show proper I.D.).

19 No Backpacks or Large Purses PermiVed Backpacks are NOT permived in classrooms and must be secured in your locker. Handbags or purses larger that 8 x 11 can not be carried around campus, they must be stored in your locker un.l the end of the school day. Handbags must be 5x7 or smaller to be carried on campus.

20 BUSES Do not wait by the buses for other riders. Students must walk to the back of the school and immediately board their assigned buses. Follow all instruc.ons from your driver. Buses will depart within 6 minutes aker school ends. Riding the bus is a privilege. This privilege CAN be revoked!

21 TRANSPORTATION Bicycles Riding a bicycle to school is a privilege. When you arrive on campus, dismount your bicycle and walk it to the bike rack. Bicycles must be parked inside the bike cage. Students are responsible for securing their own bikes. NO SKATEBOARDS NO EXCEPTIONS!

24 Not Acceptable Forms of Dress No Jeggings, Leggins, Spandex, Yoga, Denim, or Sweat Pants allowed. No exceptions!

27 CCSD prohibits hats being worn or visible in the building by either boys or girls Nothing on Face: No stickers, paint, etc. Ribbons/headbands must be worn ON hair as a hair piece.

28 CCSD Regula.on 5131 Require the wearing of shoes with soles. House slippers are not permi?ed. Sandals without straps/flip- flops are not permived. All clothing must be sufficient to conceal any and all undergarments. No skin will show between the bovom of shirt/blouse and top of pants or skirts at All sleeveless shirts must have straps at least three inches wide. Prohibited tops include crop tops, tank tops, strapless, low- cut clothing, clothing with slits, or tops and ounits that provide minimum coverage.

29 Regula.on 5131 con.nued Require that all shorts, skorts, skirts, and jumpers/dresses must at length. SAGGING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED All jeans, pants, and trousers must be secured at waist level. Jeans, pants, and trousers are not to have rips or tears or decora.ve/designed holes regardless of the placement.

30 DRESS CODE VIOLATIONS The campus administration has the authority to determine any appropriateness of dress of students on that individual campus, pursuant to CCSD policies. Specific guidelines for appropriate dress are included in the individual campus handbooks. The final decision with regard to dress code rests with the campus principal. All students on the West Prep campus have been informed of the dress code. No warning will be given. All students that are not in dress code may be RPC d, or Suspended.

31 Extra Curricular Event Dress If you are an athlete, dancer, or cheerleader you are only allowed to wear uniforms for away games. If you are caught wearing any items- sweats, warm- ups, leotards, jerseys, etc. you will be excluded from par.cipa.on of next event. No excep.ons!
