2 Big, Bigger, Biggest This is a rhyme, simply say and do Put hands shoulder-length apart, move halfway to extent, move to extent can reach outward Big, bigger, biggest, Small, smaller, smallest, Put hands shoulder-length apart, move halfway inward, move to only an inch apart Put hands at your height, move halfway to extent up, move to extent can reach upward Tall, taller, tallest, Short, shorter, shortest, Put hands at your height, move hands down to waist, moves hands to an inch above the floor Hungry, hungrier, hungriest, Rub stomach in slow speed signifying hunger, rub stomach slightly faster, rub fastest Run in place slowly, run in place faster, run in place as fast as you can Fast, faster, fastest, Walk in place slowly, walk in place slower, walk in place as slow as you can Slow, slower, slowest, Sleepy, sleepier, sleepiest. Blink eyes slowly to signify sleepy, move body toward floor, lay on the floor and pretend to sleep Itsy, Bitsy Spider Use ASL signs as known or at least for "spider," "climb," "rain," and "sun" The itsy-bitsy spider Climbed up the water spout Down came the rain And washed the spider out Out came the sun And dried up all the rain And the itsy-bitsy spider Climbed up the spout again Use ASL signs for animals and as known. 5 1. Cut out the animals. 2. Sort them into the columns they match (compared to the other animals of course). 3. Glue them into their appropriate column. goat sheep horse cat mouse elephant hippopotamus mosquito ant What other animals could you sort into columns? How many animals did you cut out? Which of the nine animals you cut out is your favorite? Why? Draw your own animals to add something to each column.

8 Black, blue, and brown are such beautiful colors. Draw a picture above using only those three colors. Next time you're on a walk or running errands, look for things related to one color (such as blue or brown or black). Talking is a great way to increase your child's vocabulary. Plus, looking for one specific thing will increase your child's observational skills.
