The club is better known as the Low Country Mustang Club of Charleston, SC. The MCA charter was reinstated in the fall of The LCMC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to local community service and the enjoyment and preservation of the Ford Mustang and its heritage. Membership is $15, which is due before February 1 st and prorated annually for new members. MCA membership is a requirement for LCMC officers and is encouraged for all members. Hey Guys, Words from the President Well, so far it has been a very busy month with a lot of Mustang activities. First was the Mustang Show in Lexington, SC. I think only one member of our club attended, but I was told they had over a hundred cars in attendance. Then we had 10 cars go to Florence on a very windy day. It was a nice show with some great trophies and our club had the most cars there, so we won $50 as a club, which will be donated later this year to our charity. This last weekend, we had 5 cars in the Kiawah Island motoring retreat which was a very nice and well run event and a few club members also went to the National show in St. Augustine FL. And then to top it all off we had 22 Mustangs show up for our photo shoot and cruise on Sunday, April 17th to Celebrate National Mustang Day and a great time was had by all. We had a little trouble trying to herd all the Mustangs to Isle of Palms in Charleston Traffic, but it all worked out and we had some really good food and fellowship. I would like to personally thank Bill Hamilton and Ken Brinkman for putting this event together. Now we also have club officer elections coming up at our next meeting so please try to attend. Getting together for activities like the cruise helps build friendships that will last a lifetime, so get involved! You'll find that we have a lot of great people in our club. See you at the meeting. Duane (Submitted by Paula Rice) Meeting Minutes from March 31, 2015 Duane introduced himself and asked the new people in attendance to stand and tell us who they are and what kind of Mustang they are driving. The Treasurer s report was given. In club news, one of our long time members, Sherry Brinkman, has been ill. We re hoping that she has a speedy recovery. It s Car Show season and the month of April will be full of events starting with the show sponsored by the Central South Carolina Mustang Club (Columbia) on Saturday, April 2 nd. The Eastern South Carolina Mustang Club (Florence) is hosting their annual show on Saturday, April 9 th. We will be meeting at the Sunoco Gas Station on College Park Road. Be gassed up and ready to go at 8am. On Saturday, April 16 th, several of our members will be attending the Kiawah Island Motoring Retreat. We will be meeting at the Speedway Gas Station on Main Road and Highway 17 at 6:30am. There are about 200 car that are registered for this event. Saturday is club day and Sunday is 1

2 Concourse Day. If you have a chance to get down there it should be a lot of fun. There will be a Car Show in St. Augustine, FL that same weekend. National Mustang Day is on April 17 th and our club is planning a cruise for that day. We will be meeting at Mel s Filling Station on Dorchester Road and cruising across the bridges. Look for s and more information to come. Trident Technical College on Rivers Avenue will be hosting their annual Spring Spin-Off Car Show on Saturday, April 30 th. Register early because space is limited. The Hell Hole Swamp Festival in Jamestown, SC will be held on Saturday, May 7 th. We are meeting at Town Center in Mount Pleasant around 8:45am. The Coastal Carolina Mustang Club (Myrtle Beach) will be hosting a National Show the weekend of September 30 th through October 2 nd. You will need to pre-register online. This will take place at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. More about this at a later date. Once again, it s time to start taking nominations for club officers. We will need to vote on this during our April meeting. Wheels are almost perfect, tires have about 5000 miles. Asking $900. On Saturday April 9th, we convoyed 11 Mustangs up to Florence, SC for their 4th Annual Pee Dee Ford and Mustang Roundup. It was a nice sunny day, but windy at times as I believe some of our Charleston pollen blew all the way up there and under the hoods and into the trunks of several of our cars. Our club took home five trophies plus the club participation award. The Eastern Carolina Mustang Club put a lot of effort into the show as always and are great supporters of our annual Low Country Mustang Show. It was nice to return the favor and be able to show our support for their event. I had been around the corner to this filling station a hundred times to Grady s Upholstery, and never knew this thing was here! I m so observant! This was just the starting point! From here we went across the bridges to the Isle of Palms and Breach Inlet, where we paused to catch our breath before heading over to Sawyer's On the Boulevard for a nice meal and then on to Patriot s Point where Bill found us a field where we could get our pictures took! 4

5 Context! A lady comes home from her doctor's appointment grinning from ear to ear. Her husband asks, "Why are you so happy?" The wife says, "The doctor told me that for a forty-five year old woman, I have the breasts of an eighteen year old." "Oh yeah?" quipped her husband, "What did he say about your forty-five year old ass?" She said, "Your name never came up in the conversation." Potent Stuff! A lady goes to the doctor and complains that her husband is losing interest in sex. The doctor gives her a pill, but warns her that it's still experimental. He tells her to slip it into his mashed potatoes at dinner, so that night, she does just that. About a week later, she s back at the doctor, where she says, "Doc, the pill worked great! I put it in the potatoes like you said! It wasn't five minutes later that he jumped up, raked all the food and dishes onto the floor, grabbed me, ripped all my clothes off, and ravaged me right there on the table!" The doctor says, "I m sorry, we didn t realize the pill was that strong! The foundation will be glad to pay for any damages." "Nah," she says, "that's okay. We're never going back to that restaurant anyway." Editor s Notes Next week, C & W Super Buffet, 6195 Rivers Avenue, Tuesday the 26 th of April! The LAST Tuesday of the month! Meeting at 7:30, but get there early! Our first meeting at this place, but others have met there with great results. Officer Election time again! According to Paula s minutes, we as yet don t have any contested spots, but that could change next Tuesday! I ll try to have some sort of ballots and a list of eligible voters on hand. For clarification, if you (as yourself or a couple) paid $15 dues into the club one month before final nominations, then you are eligible to vote one time for each officer seat. You can collaborate with your partner, but you can only vote the one time. Pretty simple! You each want a vote, pay dues for each of you! The club likes that! Uncontested seats makes voting a little boring! If you are selling, trading, searching for something special and would like it in our classifieds, send it to us!
