Contact the Sports Coordinator Amanda, Green (918) REGISTRATION CLOSES ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 19: $10 activity fee for all current YMCA Household memberships $90 for non-member program participants $20 jersey fee (if needed) LATE REGISTRATION OPENS ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 25 (LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE) Late registration is not guaranteed. Late registrations are taken for available spots on a first come, first served basis. Players will be taken as space is available and assessed a $15 late fee. Rosters and team information will be ed to all parents by Wednesday, Aug 30. Parents Meeting will be held on Wednesday, Aug 30 at the Owasso Family YMCA. PRACTICE SCHEDULE Your practice schedule will be ed to you by Aug 30, will be available at the Parents Meeting, or located at the Front Desk of the YMCA after Aug 30. Practices begin the week of Sept 11th and are held for one hour, one night per week. Practice times are scheduled anytime Monday - Friday, 5:30-9:00 p.m. GAME SCHEDULE Game schedules will be available by Sept 22 at Owasso.ygametime.com Regular season will consist of six games played on Saturdays any time 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., beginning Sept 30th and ending Nov 5th. Ages 7-12 will participate in a post season tournament Nov 11. It is recommended that spectators carpool as parking is limited. All YMCA property, practices, and games are pet, tobacco, smoke and vaporfree. Soccer: Ages 3-8 games will be played at YMCA of Greater Tulsa locations. Ages 9-12 will play at the Union High School Practice fields. TBall: Games w ill be played on the Owasso YMCA Facility. Volleyball: Games w ill be played in the Owasso YMCA Gym.

3 SEASON DETAILS COACHES NEEDED! CHARACTER VALUES All youth sports coaches at the Y are volunteers usually a parent from the team. If you would like to volunteer and become a mentor and develop future leaders, mark down your coaching preference on your athlete s registration form or pick up a coaches packet at the member service desk. You can download age-appropriate practice outlines at Tandy.ygametime.com that has drills and information about coaching various age levels. All equipment is provided. Coaches meeting & clinic: Wednesday, Sept 7:00pm Location: Owasso Family YMCA UNIFORM & EQUIPMENT Soccer & Volleyball athletes will need a Y jersey for all games. TBall athletes will need a glove. No other special equipment or uniform is required. The Y will provide all other equipment necessary to play such as goals, balls, bases, tees, nets, basketballs, etc. WEATHER GUIDELINES AND RESCHEDULES Outdoor practice and/or games will be cancelled if the temperature is under 35 F, over 105 F, during lightning/thunder, if fields are flooded, or the area is under a severe weather warning. Contact your coach for confirmation. All game cancellations will be posted at Owasso.ygametime.com. The Y guarantees one game reschedule per season due to weather. The Y has four core values that we teach and uphold in every program: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Each week, a different core value will be highlighted. An athlete from each team who demonstrates this core value during the game will be recognized by the coach! All athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators are expected to demonstrate our core values at all times. END-OF-SEASON AWARDS All participants get an end-of-season award for demonstrating our core values. Awards will be available the volunteer coach to pick up at the YMCA before your last game. Teams are also encouraged to have an end-of-season party to celebrate the season! END-OF-SEASON TOURNAMENT Leagues ages 7-14 will participate in a single-elimination end-of-season tournament Nov 11th. Win/loss records will be kept for the first six games of the season to determine ranking going into the tournament. 6 Parents Code of Conduct YMCA of Greater Tulsa I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice or other youth sports event. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of each child ahead of a personal desire to win. I will support the implementations of the YMCA s four character development values Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all. I will demand a sport environment for my child that is free of drugs, tobacco and alcohol, and I will refuse their use at all YMCA facilities. I will remember the game is for youth not for adults. I will do my best to make the youth sports experience for my child and not for myself. I will help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can, such as being a respectful fan, assisting with coaching or character development or providing snacks. I understand that the coaches and assistant coaches are parent volunteers and that no paid staff members will be provided to coach my athlete s team. I will do my best in assisting the team leadership. I will treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability. I understand the YMCA expects me to follow and will hold me to this Code of Conduct.
