1 SUPERCOACH BBL (Big Bash League) TERMS & CONDITIONS The SuperCoach BBL game ("SuperCoach") is an online fantasy sports community. This web site ("Web Site") and SuperCoach are operated by Vapormedia Virtual Sports, a business unit of Vapormedia Pty Limited ACN ("Vapormedia"), for The Herald and Weekly Times Pty Limited ACN ("HWT") and Nationwide News Pty Limited ACN ( Nationwide News ) in association with its related companies publishing newspapers in Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia, New South Wales, and Northern Territory. By registering and participating, users agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 1. WHO MAY PLAY 1.1 Entry to SuperCoach is open to any person in Australia or any another location globally, however, certain entrants (described below) may be ineligible to win and claim a prize. 1.2 If an entrant is under 18 years of age they must seek their parent or guardian s permission prior to entering the competition (including consenting on the entrant s behalf to these terms and conditions). There is no minimum age limit to enter, however any prizes that may be won by an entrant below the age of 18 will be awarded to their parent/legal guardian. 1.3 The following entrants are welcome to enter, but are not eligible to be awarded any prizes for participation in SuperCoach: (i) employees of, or contractors to, Nationwide News or any of its related companies, game sponsors or any of the agencies involved with this competition, (ii) members of the immediate family of such employees and contractors, and (iii) participants who are not Australian residents for the duration of the BBL Season. 1.4 SuperCoach is offered as a free game to all participants. All entrants and competition winners consent to the publication of their name and suburb of residence but request that their full address not be published, and agree to participate in reasonable promotional activities as requested by Nationwide News or any of its related companies. Nationwide News reserves the right to limit the number of participants in SuperCoach at any time for any reason. 2. TERM OF COMPETITION 2.1 SuperCoach will be conducted during the normal Big Bash League season in ("BBL Season"). The competition period commences at 12:01AM AEDST on 23/10/2018 and ends at 11:59PM AEDST on 17/02/ HOW TO ENTER 3.1 To enter, participants must be either: (i) a registered user or a subscriber/member of the news+ network through any of the following online mastheads or ("news+ network User"); or (ii) a registered user or a subscriber/member of ("non-news+ network User"), and must maintain their status as a registered user or a subscriber/member throughout the duration of the competition period. 3.2 As a registered user, subscriber/member you will also be bound by the relevant terms and conditions of use (which can be found at the website where you completed your registration). Individuals who have complimentary access to any of the sites above but who are not a registered user, subscriber/member of the relevant site directly (e.g. where access is granted as a result of a person s subscription to another site or service) are not eligible to enter unless they become a registered user or a subscriber/member of the relevant site directly.

2 3.3 Once a participant is a: (i) news+ network User, they will be required to complete the online registration form for the competition on any of these web sites: /classic, or (ii) non-news+ network User, they will be required to complete the online registration form for the competition on or any of the web sites listed above. 3.4 There are no charges for registration and all games are absolutely free. 3.5 Once registered, participants receive their personalised home page, where they are required to: (i) Choose a nickname, which is also used as their team name; (ii) Participate in the selection of a SuperCoach side; (iii) Play and maintain the side in accordance with these official rules; (iv) If they were invited to join a private league, enter the appropriate details to join that league (participants may create or join up to 10 private or public leagues with their single registration and team entry). Private leagues may be formed with 14 SuperCoach teams, or 6 SuperCoach teams. The private league competition begins at the start of round 1 for private leagues with 14 SuperCoach teams and runs until round 13, followed by finals series over rounds 14 & 15; and round 2 for private leagues with 6 SuperCoach teams, and runs until round 11, followed by finals series over rounds 12 & 13. Rounds are as set out in section 4 of these terms and conditions. 3.6 In a 14 SuperCoach-team private league, each team in that private league will "play" every other team in that league once during the private league competition period. In a 6 SuperCoach-team private league, each team in that private league will "play" every other team in that league twice during the private league competition period. The winner of each head-to-head battle is the team with the most SuperCoach points for that round. Teams will get 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and nothing for a loss. Then, during rounds 14 and 15 (14-team league) or rounds 12 and 13 (6-team league), the top four teams in a private league will go head-to-head in a finals series to determine the league Champions. In private leagues with 14 teams, the teams ranked 5th to 8th will also compete in a minor finals series. 3.7 Private leagues can be joined in one of three ways: (i) Participants can use the League page on the Web Site to create and name (up to ten) private leagues that other players can be invited to join. The Participant can select whether the private league will have 6 or 14 SuperCoach teams. If there are fewer than the required number teams to form the private league, other teams will be automatically recruited to make up the required number of teams for that private league. Players invited by another participant to join a private league will receive an invitation and link to the registration page for the SuperCoach game and once registered (including as either a news+ network User or a non-news+ network User), will be automatically added to the league (ii) Participants can accept an invitation from another SuperCoach player to join their private league using the league code that will be sent to them. (iii) Participants who elect to do neither of the above will be automatically entered into a 6 or 14-team public league.

3 3.8 Participants can only enter SuperCoach once. Under no circumstances can participants enter two or more teams in SuperCoach. Any entrant who enters two or more teams in SuperCoach at any time will be ineligible to win any prizes in respect of all their teams. Any entry that fails to provide all required information (or if HWT or Nationwide News believes any such information to be false) may be disqualified. HWT and Nationwide News assume no responsibility for incomplete, late or misdirected entries, or entries received through impermissible or illegitimate channels or for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind. HWT and Nationwide News reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which is not made in accordance with the terms of these official rules or who does not abide by the Web Site terms and conditions. In order to meet the minimum activity requirements for SuperCoach, participants must access their SuperCoach home page at least once every 30 days. Participants that fail to meet the minimum activity requirements may be disqualified and their registration cancelled at HWT and Nationwide News's discretion. 3.9 SuperCoach teams are not transferable. Entrants must not purport to or offer to transfer or sell any team. 4. SCORING OF POINTS TEAM SELECTION AND SALARY CAP 4.1 Each participant chooses a squad 16 players according to the salary cap and positional restrictions. 4.2 Participants must choose a squad of 16 players according to the following positional requirements (11 starting and 5 bench players): (i) 7 x Batsmen (2) (ii) 2 x Wicketkeeper (1) (iii) 7 x Bowlers (2) 4.3 The Bench players per position acts as Automatic Emergency their score(s) will count if a player on the starting line-up, in a matching position, does not play. 4.4 Each round, participants choose 11 players whose contribution to a participant's SuperCoach score is based on the player's real-life performance in that week's BBL round as assessed by FOX SPORTS Australia Pty Limited (ACN ). BBL FORMAT AND ROUNDS 4.5 The BBL competition is split over 15 rounds. This includes 13 rounds of the regular tournament, 14 th round featuring the semi-finals and 15 th round featuring the final. 4.6 Each of the first 14 rounds have between 4 and 5 matches. The BBL round structure has the following format: Round 1: Matches 1-5 (Dec 19-Dec 22) (5 matches) Round 2: Matches 6-9 (Dec 23-Dec 26) (4 matches) Round 3: Matches (Dec 27-Dec 30) (4 matches) Round 4: Matches (Dec 31-Jan 2) (4 matches) Round 5: Matches (Jan 3-Jan 5) (4 matches) Round 6: Matches (Jan 6- Jan 10) (5 matches) Round 7: Matches (Jan 11-Jan 13) (4 matches) Round 8: Matches (Jan 14-Jan 18) (4 matches) Round 9: Matches (Jan 19-Jan 22) (4 matches) Round 10: Matches (Jan 23-Jan 28) (5 matches) Round 11: Matches (Jan 29-Feb 1) (5 matches)

4 Round 12: Matches (Feb 2-Feb 7) (4 matches) Round 13: Matches (Feb 8-Feb 10) (4 matches) Round 14: Semi Finals (Feb 14-Feb 15) (2 matches) Round 15: Final (Feb 17) (1 match) 4.7 In some rounds, BBL teams play twice or not at all. When a BBL player plays two matches in a single round, that player accumulates points in BOTH matches. 4.8 The SuperCoach BBL competition operates with a rolling lockout. Where a team plays twice in a round, players from that team are locked out at the beginning of their first match for that round. CAPTAINS AND VICE CAPTAINS 4.9 Points are only scored by players selected for each game/round. After selecting their starting 11 players, participants must choose a team captain who will score double points for the round. Participants may also choose a vice-captain, who will score double points for the round if the selected captain does not, for any reason, play that round. TRADING 4.10 Players traded during the season do not get their aggregate points added or subtracted to the participant's total. Participants can replace members of their squad via the Trade page of this Web Site or mobile application Participants may make a maximum of 3 trades per round, between rounds 1-13 (total maximum of 36). Unlimited trades are available for rounds 14 (semi-finals) and 15 (final), to allow users to refresh their teams from the 4/2 remaining teams only. Trades must be made prior to the commencement of each player's actual BBL match (as notified on the Web Site) in the upcoming or current round and will be subject to the participant's SuperCoach salary cap. Where a player takes part in two matches in any given round, trades must be made prior to their first match of that round Player values can be found on the Player Draft, Team, Trade and Statistics pages of the Web Site. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the allocation of scores. 5. DETERMINATION OF WINNERS 5.1 During the competition period winners will be determined as follows: (i) Round Prize Winner - Following the completion of all BBL games for each round the participant whose SuperCoach team has earned the highest number of points for that round will be declared the round winner in accordance with the "Round Prize" description in section 7 of these terms and conditions. The round prize winner will be determined by Vapormedia at Suite G06 / 838 Collins St, Docklands VIC 3008 at 10:00AM AEST on the next business day after completion of each round of the BBL season during the competition period. (ii) Competition Major Prize Winners - At the completion of the BBL season the 10 participants whose SuperCoach teams have earned the highest number of points for the entire season will be declared the Competition Major Prize winners in accordance with the "Competition Major Prize" description in section 7 of these terms and conditions. Competition Major Prize winners will be determined by Vapormedia at Suite G06 / 838 Collins St, Docklands VIC 3008 at 10:00AM AEST on Tuesday 19/02/ The Promoter's decision in respect of any prizes is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 6. TIE-BREAKING 6.1 Round Prize and Competition Major Prizes - In the event of a tie, the participant with the highest average SuperCoach points score per round as displayed on the Web Site will be declared the winner. Should this fail to break the tie for round prizes, the participant with the highest overall score will win. Where a tie cannot be resolved by any of the means above, the participant whose SuperCoach team was registered the earliest will win. 7. PRIZES 7.1 Round Prize - The round winner will receive $1,000. There will be fifteen Round Prizes awarded during the season, one for each round, with the total value of up to $15, The Competition Major Prize winners will receive the following prizes: (i) First Place Competition Major Prize $25,000 for the participant with the highest number of (ii) Second Place Competition Major Prize $5000 for the participant with the second highest number of

6 (iii) Third Place Competition Major Prize $3,000 for the participant with the third highest number of (iv) Fourth Place Competition Major Prize $1,000 for the participant with the fourth highest number of (v) Fifth Place Competition Major Prize $1,000 for the participant with the fifth highest number of (vi) Sixth Place Competition Major Prize $1,000 for the participant with the sixth highest number of (vii) Seventh Place Competition Major Prize $1,000 for the participant with the seventh highest number of (viii) Eighth Place Competition Major Prize $1,000 for the participant with the eighth highest number of (ix) Ninth Place Competition Major Prize $1,000 for the participant with the ninth highest number of (x) Tenth Place Competition Major Prize $1,000 for the participant with the tenth highest number of 7.3 All prize items are valued inclusive of GST and HWT and Nationwide News take no responsibility for any variations in prize values. Where a prize is unavailable for any reason, Nationwide News may substitute for that prize another item of equal or higher value as determined by Nationwide News, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory, where required. Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the winners. 7.4 The total value of all prizes available to be won will be up to $55,000 (incl GST). 8. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PUBLICATION 8.1 The Round Prize winner will be notified by , using the details provided in their entry, and the name and suburb of the Round Prize winner will be published on these Web Sites: or and in The Australian Newspaper, on the dates provided below, following the completion of all matches in each BBL round. The name and suburb of the winners of the Competition Major Prizes will be announced on the Web Sites above on 18/02/2019 and will be published in The Australian newspaper on 20/02/ HWT and Nationwide News are not responsible for and shall not be liable for any late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify any of the prize winners. 8.4 At 10:00AM AEDST on 19/05/19 at Vapormedia, Suite G06 / 838 Collins St, Docklands VIC 3008, Nationwide News will distribute any prizes that have remained unclaimed to that date. In the event that a Round Prize is unclaimed, that Round Prize (and any other Round Prizes affected by the unclaimed Round Prize) will be re-awarded in accordance with the "Round Prizes" description in section 7 of these terms and conditions. In the event that a Competition Major Prize is unclaimed, that Competition Major Prize (and any other Competition Major Prizes affected by the unclaimed Competition Major Prize) will be re-awarded in accordance with the "Competition Major Prizes" description in section 7 of these terms and conditions. 9. MARKETING AND PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITY 9.1 All prize winners must as a condition of being awarded a prize, at Nationwide News', or any of its related companies request, participate in any marketing and promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) in relation to winning any prize, free of charge, and consent to Nationwide News or any of its related companies using their name and image in any promotional material. 10. TAX STATEMENT 10.1 HWT and Nationwide News accept no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where the operation of this competition results in, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, entrants agree to follow the Australian Taxation Office's stated view that where the parties are at arm's length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market value. 11. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY 11.1 To the extent permitted by law, HWT, Nationwide News, any related company of Nationwide News and Vapormedia are not liable for any loss suffered or sustained to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss, by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by HWT, Nationwide News, any related company of Nationwide News, Vapormedia or their contractors, servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply or failure to supply, of any goods or services by any person to entrants or the prize winners (including, without limitation, the unavailability of any websites). Each winner must sign and return any liability release provided by HWT, Nationwide News and/or Vapormedia as a condition of any prize being awarded. Failure to return the signed releases will result in the entitlement to the prize being forfeited and the determination of another winner Nothing in these official rules affects, nor is intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have which are not able to be excluded under applicable Australian consumer protection laws. GENERAL CONDITIONS 12.1 HWT, Nationwide News, their employees, officers, agents, and its parent companies and subsidiaries, and any related company of Nationwide News, are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) any condition caused by events beyond the control of HWT, Nationwide News, or any related company of Nationwide News that may cause the game to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize, or from participation in the game or downloading material from this Web Site; or (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with SuperCoach Nationwide News reserves the right, in its sole discretion, subject to obtaining the permission of the relevant gaming authorities, to cancel or suspend the competition, should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of Nationwide News, in its sole opinion, corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper operation of the game or to disqualify any entrant who engages in offensive, illegal or objectionable conduct. Nationwide News reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. Nationwide News reserves the right in its sole discretion to amend these terms and conditions, or the operation of the game, at any time as a result of any unforeseen events or circumstances, or any causes beyond the control of Nationwide News Participants will be given the option to link their SuperCoach team to their Facebook or Twitter accounts. By choosing to link their SuperCoach team to their Facebook or Twitter accounts, participants accept that details relating to their SuperCoach team and their participation in SuperCoach may be made publicly available via Facebook or Twitter, and may be accessible for the general public to view. Participants will also be given the option to invite their friends to participate in SuperCoach (including in order to compete in private leagues) via Facebook or Twitter. Participants must ensure that they only send invitations to persons who consent to receiving an invitation. Nationwide News or any of its related companies will not be responsible if participants send invitations to any persons who do not consent to receiving an invitation The SuperCoach Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Entrants are providing their information to Nationwide News and not to Facebook. Entrants completely release Facebook from any and all liability Nationwide News and HWT collect information about you, including for example your name and contact details which you provide when registering or using our services as well as information from data houses, social media services, our affiliates and other entities you deal or interact with for example by using their services. We collect and use that information to provide you with our goods and services, to promote and improve our goods and services, to provide you with targeted advertising based on your online activities, for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy and for any other purposes that we describe at the time of collection.
