1 ROGUE RIVER VAULTERS PRESENTS THE RRV JINGLE BELL CHALLENGE! December 15th December 31st 2018 PLEASE REVIEW THE PRIZE LIST AND MAKE YOUR ENTRIES AT This is an End-of-the-Year, unrecognized, Virtual Competition offered to ALL vaulters of ALL levels. No traveling and NO AVA MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED! Pick a day, time, and place that works for you! This is a no-stress event. If the weather keeps you inside, put your barrel in a dry place and set up your video camera. If you can, spiffy up your horses and set up the camera at the arena. Wear your uniforms, Freestyle outfits, or dress like Elf in the costume class! Invite your friends and family to join in, too. Be serious for the usual AVA classes, and have FUN in the others. Don't forget, this is still a competition! Appearance of vaulters and horses is important, and General Impression will still be taken into consideration. Feel free to start your entries and filming as soon as you want. No need to wait until the last minute! All classes are to be followed according to the current AVA rules and/or AVA Guidelines, unless stated differently in the Class List. The Class List will list the descriptions and criteria for any unrecognized classes. NO AVA membership is required. There are only two costs for this competition: $10 per vaulter for ALL Individual classes $15 total for ALL Team, Doubles/Pairs/Pas de Deuxs, and 2-Phase classes. For example: A-Team - $15 ($2.50 per vaulter), Pas de Deux/Pairs/Doubles- $15 total ($7.50 per vaulter), 2-Phase -$15 ($3.75 per vaulter) Easy, right? LOL

Ribbons (1 st through 10 th for all classes: men and women will receive separate awards for Individual classes) will be mailed to each Club after all videos have been reviewed and scored by our judge. Management reserves the right to award additional ribbons. Videos for this competition will ONLY be accepted electronically. Please have ONE person at your club in charge of uploading all of your videos. Videos must be uploaded by December 31st, To upload via internet: 1. Create an account with 2. 3 RRV JINGLE BELL CHALLENGE! Class Descriptions The Judge will be using the current AVA Rules and Guidelines as well as the following Class Descriptions to judge this competition. Please pay close attention to the description of the classes before entering and consult the current AVA Rule Book and Guidelines. If your vaulters are entering in a group, only one Jog-in and Jog-out is necessary. If there are any classes you can t find, don t hesitate to ask! AVA Individual Events (Modified) per: 31: Gold Compulsories & Freestyle (No Tech Test) {Art } 32: Silver Compulsories & Freestyle (R1 ONLY) {Art } 33: Bronze Compulsories & Freestyle (R1 ONLY) {Art } 34: Copper Compulsories & Freestyle {Art } 36: Trot Compulsories & Freestyle {Art } Individual Events Unrecognized **Beginning Canter may cross enter with Trot or Preliminary Trot ** Tiny Tot must be 6 years old or younger. Coach/Spotter suggested for Tiny Tots but NOT required. **Masters/Adult Vaulters must be 18 years old or older. No cross entries in AVA Individual Events. 35A: Beginning Canter Compulsories As described in Rules for Trot (Art ) EXCEPT HALF flag and forward kneel with arms extended to their sides (same as riding seat) may be performed with NO deduction for the Stand. Awards to ALL vaulters with special gift for Judge s Choice, Most Unique, and Best Costume. Ugly Christmas sweaters encouraged! 160: STAND Challenge Longest STAND at Vaulter s competition gait. Video of vaulter completing the most amount of lunged circles while successfully holding a Compulsory STAND. IE: Tiny Tot/Walk Walk, Preliminary Trot/Trot- Trot, Copper and Up- Canter. Have fun, but, as always, be considerate to your horse! 161: ULTIMATE Stand Challenge This class is for the more experienced vaulters and horses! Video of vaulter successfully standing while horse transitions from Walk to Trot to Canter and reverse. Who can keep their balance the longest?

6 Please note the following Barrel Guidelines for this competition: Trampolines may be used. Barrels with round or square handles accepted. Boosts are allowed with no deduction for all classes Preliminary Trot and below Leaps, Ground Jumps, and M or D Dismounts are allowed in: Open, Preliminary, Trot, Preliminary Trot, Walk and Masters, as well as all Double and Team Events Leaps, Ground Jumps, and M or D Dismounts are NOT allowed in Tiny Tot If Leaps or Ground Jumps are performed by a Tiny Tot, a -2 point deduction will be take from content. 7 DOUBLES CLASSES Per AVA Guidelines (Art. 902), except only two vaulters 42B: Open Barrel Doubles 90 seconds. Open to all levels 44B: Preliminary Barrel Doubles 90 seconds. Copper/Bronze 45B: Trot Barrel Doubles 90 seconds. Trot/Preliminary Trot 54B: Walk Barrel Doubles 90 seconds. Walk 55B: Tiny Tot Doubles 90 seconds. Tiny Tots ONLY 62B: Family Doubles 90 seconds. One competing vaulter and one family member of choice: Parent, sibling, aunt/uncle, grandparent 159B: Special Pairs 90 seconds. One or both vaulters must be an Adaptive vaulter TEAM CLASSES ALL per AVA Guidelines for Trot 2-Phase Freestyle (Art. 1102) 60B: Open Team Barrel 4-6 vaulters, 3 minutes. Open to all levels 63B: Family Team Barrel 4-6 vaulters, 3 minutes. Open to all levels 64B: Beginning Team Barrel 4-6 vaulters. 3 minutes. Trot through Tiny Tot. No Canter Vaulters 65B: Intermediate Team Barrel 4-6 vaulters. 3 minutes. Copper and lower

8 ADAPTIVE EVENTS ** For this competition, an adaptive vaulter is defined as a vaulter with special needs requiring assistance to include: physical spotting, verbal cuing, sign language translation/cuing, and/or other such assistance from someone other than a fellow vaulter or lunger involved in that event. Individual Horse Classes Suggested Guidelines 70A/B: Modified Walk Assisted mounts are required. Spotters required during performances. Compulsories are performed TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY. EVERY attempted Compulsory will receive a score! 1 minute Freestyle, with NO deduction for each occasion of assistance during performance. 72A/B: Modified Trot Assisted mounts are required (NO deduction). Spotters are required during performances. Compulsories are performed TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY. EVERY attempted Compulsory will receive a score! 1 minute Freestyle, with NO deduction for each occasion of assistance during performance.
