Transportation to the meet location is not provided by Gymtastics.

7 HOLLYWOOD JACKPOT ALL LEVELS RANKED TOGETHER Women s 2018 Hollywood Jackpot Rationale and General Rules This session is open to all JO 8-10 athletes of all ages, combined into one category. The intent of the Hollywood Jackpot is to promote clean and well-executed gymnastics, in a setting that allows top athletes of all ages to compete fairly against each other in a friendly competition. All gymnasts will have a start value of will be deducted for each special requirement missing. Gymnasts are required to meet their usual special requirements. All JO 8-10 athletes are ranked together for the cash awards. NO judging protests. Up to 0.1 Stick Bonus available to all gymnasts Up to 0.3 artistic merit bonus available to all gymnasts Jackpot Bonus - may be added at the judges discretion for added flair. This would include but is not limited to original costumes and music, unique skills (singing, dancing, poetry recital...use your imaginations!) WAG HOLLYWOOD JACKPOT RULES Requirements: Beam: Bars: - Two acro element series, one with flight - Min. one direction change - Leap/jump series - One flight OR C circling element - Turn - Min. B dismount - Dismount - Min. one bar transition - Acro-dance series (any - Unique or creative (and safe) acro to any dance be creative) element anywhere in the routine. Floor: Vault: - 2 salto line - Two vaults, one level 8 or higher - C acro required vault and one unique - C leap (and safe) vault (ie. straddle over) - 2 or more tumbling lines - Acro-dance series (any acro and any dance, be creative, ie: r.off-diamond jump or straddle jump-front tuck). General Rules: Follow the requirements Judges will still judge form, artistry, falls, etc. on normal requirements. No falls counted on the 5th requirement (or second vault), only judged on creativeness and uniqueness. A little added flair in dance etc. is helpful outside of requirements on beam and floor. Creative choreography on floor and beam is encouraged! (Words ARE PER- MITTED in floor music if you choose!)
8 Men s 2018 Hollywood Jackpot MAG HOLLYWOOD JACKPOT RULES Rationale: This session is open to all athletes normally competing in any category but especially those in L5, National Open, Elite 4, Junior and Senior and we welcome any National Team members. Deductions will be as per FIG (0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 1.0) The Hollywood Jackpot session is governed by in-house rules (see below) An intent of the Hollywood Jackpot is to promote clean and well-executed gymnastics, in a setting that allows top athletes of all ages to compete fairly with and against each other in a friendly competition. Another intent of the Hollywood Jackpot is to provide an easy-tounderstand competition format allowing increased excitement for the audience and competitors. Training reimbursement awards are to be provided to athletes placing top three on the individual events and top three All Around. Awards for 4th 8th on each event and in the All Around will also be given. General Rules: 8 value parts per routine (supplementary A skills as per Canadian Provincial Pathways Rules as listed in Regulation 6.9 for Elite 4, Novice P4, and P5). B Dismount for E4 & P4 P5, C Dismounts for athletes in any other level. All gymnasts will have a start value of 9.7 (vault 9.5 or 10.0) No skill repetition Short routines will be deducted 0.5 for each missing element. Each missing special requirement will be deducted 0.5 (see in house special requirements). Unrecognized dismounts will receive 0.5 deduction (ie. jumping off the high bar on a back swing). Some extra swings will be allowed without deductions for athletes under age 13 on some apparatus (see individual apparatus section). Otherwise FIG rules for extra swings apply. No Judging protests. On some events there will be age stipulations which will allow for slightly different requirements. See pommel, PB and HB apparatus specific requirements on the following page. There will be a one touch warm-up on all apparatus. Up to 0.1 Stick Bonus available to all gymnasts Up to 0.3 artistic merit bonus available to all gymnasts Jackpot Bonus - may be added at the judges discretion for added flair. This would include but is not limited to original costumes and music, unique skills (singing, dancing, poetry recital...use your imaginations!)
9 Event Special Requirements (to ensure all routines are equal): FX All 4 corners of the floor must be used 3 Tumbling lines A strength hold or balance part is required (eg. a scale etc.) PH Under 15: Compete big horse, no handles Over 15: Compete FIG regulation horse R One strength hold part (not L-seat or press to handstand E.g. a lever or cross) FIG Height MAG HOLLYWOOD JACKPOT RULES (CONTINUED) V Any salto vaults or vaults with 360 degree turns or greater have 10.0 SV All other vaults will have a 9.5 SV Vault height cm for everyone PB FIG Height HB No Requirements FIG Height Athletes under 13 are allowed ONE extra swing, which are not to be counted as elements. These extra swings are, however, Subject to execution deductions.
