On behalf of all the parents involved in the Mountain Shadows Athletic Association we are excited to invite you and your athlete to our 19 th Annual Mountain Magic Invitation from May 2 nd through to May 5 th, We are once again holding our meet at the fantastic Okotoks Pason Centennial Arena. The Centennial Arena is located in the town of Okotoks, just 20 minutes south of Calgary, in the heart of the Rocky Mountain foothills. We have another great event planned this year, with an anticipated 500 plus athletes in attendance for individual competition, plus the Saturday night team event that is always a great show of team spirit and gymnastics! 2 Mountain Magic Invitational Gymnastics Meet May 2 nd to 5 th, 2019 ENTRY FEES & DEADLINES Individual Athlete Entry Fee: Entries received up to and including February 28, 2019 $ 125 Entries on or after March 1, 2019 $ 150 Team Event (per team) $ 80 Final Registration Deadline: April 12, 2019 No Changes To Levels After: April 12, 2019 Refund requests will only be considered upon receipt of a medical certificate for the withdrawn athlete and will be subject to a $25 administration fee. Please note that all withdrawal requests MUST be made prior to April 30, Late requests will not be accepted. All refunds will be processed the week following the competition. Registration is only guaranteed with received registration and payment. To ensure your athletes are not disappointed, please register early with payment as many groups fill up prior to registration deadline. 3 Team Registration must be done manually and scanned, faxed or mailed in with registration payment (see attached entry form). INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION INFORMATION WOMENS ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS Levels offered: JO Levels 1 10; and Aspire 1 and 2. TEAM COMPETITION INFORMATION The 7 th Annual Team Competition will be held during the Saturday night session. This is an optional, fun event with the girls dressing in themed leotards, coming to the event with a team name (usually on a poster) and a team cheer. This is a super fun event, with serious gymnastics! SPECIFIC DETAILS: 1. Each team consists of 4 members (JO 6-10 ONLY). 2. Each team member competes in 1 event only 3. Each team member must be registered to compete in the MMI Individual Competition in the same level registered for the team competition. 4. Maximum of 4 teams per club, unless otherwise notified. 5. Cost of registration is $80 per team. 6. Awards for the top 3 teams. 7. Online registration maybe available for team registration, more details will follow. Alternatively please complete the attached entry form for any team entries. All individual entries must be made online first. ADDITIONAL COMPETITION INFORMATION Apparatus: Judging: Music: All equipment supplied by AAI. AGF judging rules in effect; Panels will be coordinated by Deanna Critchley Upload into Sportzsoft - mp3 or m4a files only.

4 Awards: Individual Competition: Medals awarded to the top three girls in each event (and all-around), with ribbons for 4th 8 th place. Team Competition: Awards for top three teams. 5 CONSENTS AND WAIVERS In lieu of individual consent/waiver forms this year, it is inferred that by registering and paying for your athletes that the parent(s) of the athletes are consenting to have their child participate in the Mountain Magic Invitational gymnastics competition and that in the event of an emergency they authorize medical treatment as may be required. It is understood that whenever possible the parent will be contacted and informed of the problem/treatment and prognosis. The parent(s) understand that all possible safety precautions will be taken by Mountain Shadows Athletic Association, Mountain Shadows Recreation Centre, the owners and/or operators of the facility in which the said completion is being held, and any of their employees, agents or assigns in respect to injuries which the athlete sustain in the course of the participation of the said competition including activities not directly related to competing therein, and travel to or from the said facility. In addition, in lieu of the individual Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act forms this year, it is also inferred that by registering and paying for your athletes that the parent(s) of the athletes are consenting to allow sounds and images (video and still) pictures to be published or aired in a variety of locations, including audio tapings on television, radio and newspaper, as well as Mountain Shadows Recreation Centre Website and publications.
