1 Rutgers University Gymnastics Invitational Competitions Rutgers University is the only New Jersey school with a varsity collegiate gymnastics team! Help support the Rutgers Women s Gymnastics Team through participation in these FOUR dynamic fundraisers! All entries MUST be ed using the New Jersey State Entry Forms as a MS Excel file to rutgersmeet@scarletknights.com in order to receive placement in the meet! (Also, remember to send one file, with each level on a separate tab!) NO EXCEPTIONS! Once your ed entry and FULL payment are received, you will be notified confirming your placement in the meet! Rutgers University is proud to host Invitational Gymnastics Competitions for all of the upand-coming talented gymnasts! There are FOUR fundraisers scheduled for the Competition Season! Check out the RU Invitational Meets that are now open to USAG Level 2-Open athletes & Excel, JOGA Level 1-6 athletes and USAIGC all Levels. Please read through this packet carefully to obtain the necessary information on each of these meets. 2 General Meet Information for ALL Rutgers Gymnastics Invitational Meets Coaching Credentials: All coaching credentials will be verified upon check-in on the day of the competition! Please make sure that all coaches have this information in hand during the coach s check-in, as NO coaches will be allowed on the floor without presenting their credentials! Information can be printed via the USA Gymnastics website if you have not received your card in the mail as of yet. Entries for all RU Invitational meets are accepted on a first come, first serve basis! All entries must be finalized three weeks prior to the start of the competition! Changes and refunds are not permitted after the deadline date indicated on each meet s information form! Music: All music MUST be on a MP3 or ipod player. Age Group Designations: RU Invitational meets use the highest competition that an athlete can attend to determine age groups, unless the competition is past that date and then the date for Sunday of the competition weekend will be used. Age group determinations for the season: JOGA Day of the Meet Level 2 Day of the meet USAG 3-7 NJ State Date Level 9 Easterns USAIGC-Day of the Meet Excel the day of the meet USAG 8 Regional Date Level 10-Open Nationals Open will use level 10 rules. Meet Site: All Rutgers Invitational meets feature AAI equipment with Elite specifications and are held in the Livingston Recreation Center on the Livingston Campus of Rutgers University New Brunswick. 3 26 th Annual Rutgers Classic November 22, 23, & 24, 2013 USAG Level 2 Open Come join us for the 26 th Annual Rutgers Classic Invitational! Rutgers Classic is an invitational competition for USAG Level 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and Open (Level 10 & Elite) athletes. The meet has run consecutively for 26 years and is held just before Thanksgiving each season. Get your entries in early to be a part of this exciting fundraiser for Rutgers Gymnastics! All proceeds go directly to all the very talented collegiate gymnasts at Rutgers University! Level 2: $80.00 per individual Level 3, 4, 5, & 6: $90.00 per individual Level 7, 8, 9, & Open (Level 10 & Elite): $ per individual Payment Bonus Send in your entries and payment in full by November 1, 2013 and receive Team Entry Fee: $70.00 per team One team per level 3 scores count Please specify levels entered on entry form! meet! 4 Rutgers Color Games January 10, 11, & 12, 2014 USAG Level 2 Open & Excel The Color Games meet is a FUN invitational competition for USAG Excel & Level 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and Open (Level 10 & Elite) athletes. The goal of the Rutgers Color Games is to promote team camaraderie. Athletes will be grouped and assigned to a color to form a new team. (Note: Athletes will still be grouped in squads according to their club team!). Come join us and be a part of this fun meet! Year after year athletes are begging to come back! PLEASE NOTE: Athletes will receive a Leotard, to compete in, so sizes MUST be included on the Entry Form! Leotard Size Options: CS, CM, CL, AXS, AS, AM, AL, AXL Level 2: $90.00 per individual Level 3, 4, 5, & 6: $ per individual Level 7, 8, 9, & Open (Level 10 & Elite): $ per individual Excel: $80.00 per individual Payment Bonus Send in your entries and payment in full by December 6, 2013 and receive Team Entry Fee: NONE All athletes will be assigned a new COLOR team that they will participate on at the meet. 5 Scarlet Knight Challenge February 21, 22, & 23, 2014 USAG Level 6 Open & JOGA Level 1 6 The Scarlet Knight Challenge is an invitational competition for USAG athletes (Level 6, 7, 8, 9, and Open [Level 10 & Elite]) and JOGA athletes (Level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6). Come be a part of this exciting invitational and reap the opportunity to attend an exciting Rutgers University Gymnastics meet on Saturday evening! The Scarlet Knight Challenge is a Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser for Rutgers Gymnastics. A donation will be collected throughout the competition weekend and all money received will be donated to Breast Cancer Awareness. Thank you in advance for your support! 6 Twilight Knight Invite March 7, 8, & 9, 2014 USAG Level 6 Open & USAIGC all levels Back by popular demand, the Twilight Knight Invite is an invitational competition for USAG athletes (Level 6, 7, 8, 9, and Open [Level 10 & Elite]) and USAIGC (Level Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold Platinum & Premier). Great facility, great equipment, and great gymnastics what more can you ask for? Come be a part of this exciting invitational and reap the opportunity to attend an exciting Rutgers University Gymnastics meet on Saturday afternoon! All proceeds go directly to scholarships for the very talented collegiate gymnasts at Rutgers University!
