2 New for Outdoor 2019 Refer a Friend Program Have a friend NEW to the club register, and you both get $10 off your grassroots registration. When they register, they need to complete the question with who referred them. Once this is done, they will be refunded $10 and $10 will be credited to the current Signal Hill/WHU player s account as well. Spring Warm Up Sessions 5 sessions indoors at Battalion Park School in March and April Girls: U4/U6 Tuesdays 6-7pm, U7/U8 7-8pm Boys: U4/U6 Wednesdays 6-7pm, U7/U8 7-8pm Cost $50 Summer Nights 7 sessions through July and August Wednesday nights, 6-7pm for U4/U6, 7-8pm for U8 Cost $70

5 U4 Programs Birth Year 2015 through December 31, 2016 The program is built around placing players on a team with parent and youth coaches with a 30 minute game each week, as well as providing a 30 minute active session that includes general movement activities, coordination activities and soccer skills. This will help our players develop well-rounded foundation skills in physical literacy, soccer skills, while allowing them to still be on a team and play games. Shin pads are mandatory. Players are to wear outdoor running shoes. NO CLEATS. Players will be given a team jersey.
6 U6 Programs Birth Year 2013 and 2014 The program is built around placing players on a team with parent and youth coaches with a 30 minute game each week, as well as providing a 30 minute active session that includes general movement activities, coordination activities and soccer skills. This will help our players develop well-rounded foundation skills in physical literacy, soccer skills, while allowing them to still be on a team and play games. Shin pads are mandatory. Players are to wear outdoor running shoes, and outdoor cleats are optional. Players will be given a team jersey.
7 U7/U8 House League Birth Years 2011 and 2012 This program runs twice a week, from 6:30-7:30pm, either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs, which can be selected at registration. Players will be placed on same-sex teams with parent coaches and managers and play against other Signal Hill teams. The program is built around placing players on a team with parent and youth coaches with a 30 minute game each week, as well as providing a 30 minute active session that includes general movement activities, coordination activities and soccer skills. This will help our players develop well-rounded foundation skills in physical literacy, soccer skills, while allowing them to still be on a team and play games. Players will be provided with a jersey, shorts and socks, but must provide their own shin pads (mandatory) and outdoor running shoes or cleats.
8 U7/U8 CMSA Program Birth Years 2011 and 2012 Players will participate on teams in the U8 CMSA (Calgary Minor Soccer Association) program. This involves playing against teams from other clubs within Calgary. Home games take place at the Sierra Morena Fields by Westside King s Church. Away games could be at any other field in the City of Calgary. The game schedule is determined by CMSA and game days are usually set on Saturdays, but have yet to be announced for Players registering for this program who have not previously played with a CMSA team will need to provide a scan or photo of the player s proof of age (Alberta Health Care Card, passport, birth certificate) to Chantelle Carley at admin@whusoccer.com
9 Comparison of U8 House League and U8 CMSA Program
10 U10 South West League Program Birth Years 2009 and 2010 U10 teams will be placed in a league with teams from SW Calgary in the appropriate divisions. The teams play and practice on the same night of the week every week and will play all games in SW Calgary. Season starts at the end of April and runs through to the end of June with the final day being the SWL wind up tournament. Supplemental skills training will be provided. Sessions are typically held on Friday evenings, Saturdays or Sundays. There will be 6 sessions. The cost of this program is included in your registration fee for players in U10 SWL. SWL girls teams will play games on Monday/Wednesday and boys on Tuesday/Thursday. Practices times will be at the discretion of the coach. Uniforms (jerseys) are provided by Signal Hill Soccer. Please return your jersey to your coach at the end of the season (uniform deposit cashed if uniforms not returned). Please note that at U10, your player can choose between 2 different programs. The SWL program is an intercommunity league in the South West Calgary area. Participating communities are West Springs/Cougar Ridge, Triwest, Glamorgan, Calglen, Scarboro and Signal Hill. Games are held on days listed above and may include a limited number of practices and some technical sessions. Players who are interested in this program should select U10 (Boys or Girls) SWL program.
11 Comparison of U10 SWL and U10 CMSA Programs
12 Grassroots and U10 SWL Wind Up Tournament The wind up tournament will be held for U4/U6/U8 and U10 SWL teams on June 22, 2019 (Contingency date June 23, 2019). This is a fun day with games, medals, bouncy castles, face painting, radar guns and a family barbecue. It is held at the Sierra Morena fields by Westside King s Church and is an annual highlight of the program!

14 Grassroots Outdoor 2019 Programs - Late Fee and Withdrawal Date Information EARLY BIRD FEES/LATE FEES: A late fee of $25 for U4-U8 programs and $50 for U10 SWL programs will be added to the base fee for registrations after February 28, WITHDRAWAL DATE: Withdrawals with a refund less a $50 admin fee can be made until March 5, 2019 by ing admin@whusoccer.com. After this date, NO REFUNDS will be granted unless in case of injury accompanied by a medical note.
15 Help Another Child Play Soccer! Every child deserves the chance to play soccer! We are pleased to partner with Kidsport and Jumpstart. In players were funded through this program for Signal Hill and West Hills United Soccer Clubs. To provide a donation to Kidsport, please select Donate to Kidsport as one of your registration options. Tax receipts will be provided by Kidsport for donations $20 and over.
16 Player Assistance Assistance with fees is available for qualifying players through several agencies: For information on Kidsport and the application form, please click HERE. For information on JumpStart and the application form, please click HERE. Player assistance is also available through the Mikayla Stephen Player Assistance Program at West Hills United/Signal Hill Soccer Clubs. Please contact for details.
17 Refund Policy Signal Hill/West Hills United Soccer Club Refund Policy No refunds will be provided after March 5, Refunds requested prior to March 5, 2019 will be processed less a $25 administration fee. Refund Policy Due to Injury Written notification of the player's injury is required as well as a doctor's note regarding the injury. Information provided may be subject to review by the Technical Committee before a refund will be considered.
18 Payment Options All Payments are by secure online Credit Card. ** Note ** - As part of the online payment process, the system will automatically create a Secure Payment Profile. This profile will allow you to perform multiple registrations without having to re-enter your credit card number. This same profile will also be used by the West Hills United Administrator to process payments in the event that you do not return your uniform or do not complete your volunteer requirements for the club.
19 Privacy Policy All registrants consent to: (1) the collection of the personal information as part of the online registration process, and the collection of personal information collected from the participant, other players or other soccer organizations, during the soccer program; (2) the use of the information for the following purposes: to solicit volunteers for SH/WHUSC's programs and activities; to recruit members and solicit renewal of membership in the soccer program; to solicit participation or membership in soccer programs or activities provided by SH/WHUSC or other soccer organizations; to provide information to you on other WHUSC programs and activities; and, to provide the SH/WHUSC soccer program including to provide sufficient information to coaches and volunteers of the SH/WHUSC soccer program or of other soccer organizations that they may provide a competitive and safe playing environment; and,
20 Privacy Policy (3) to disclose and provide names and details of individual players to (a) other soccer programs for purposes of participating in games or meets or recruitment of players by them, (b) to coaches or other volunteers at games or meets for the purpose of providing a safe environment in which to play, (c) to emergency medical or other providers in the event required to protect the health or safety of any participant, or (d) to publish descriptions or photos of players participating in soccer programs in connection with reports of activities of the soccer program. The purpose of the collection of the information is to provide contact and registration information for the soccer program and to use and disclose it as described above. SH/WHUSC does not sell membership lists. The name of a person in SH/WHUSC who is able to answer questions about the collection of information is Chantelle Carley (admin@whusoccer.com). A copy of the SH/WHUSC privacy policy is available on request.
