CANTEEN The canteen will be in full operation on Thursday nights and all game days and the bar on Saturday after the last game has finished and Sundays at noon or as per the discretion of the Executive Committee Please do not forget to bring water for your child on the nights the canteen is not open. REGISTRATION FEES Don t forget ALL registration fees MUST be paid ASAP please, MONTHLY MEETINGS Revesby Heights Rhinos JRLFC has its monthly meetings at Neptune Park on the first Wednesday of every month starting at 7.30pm. Our next meeting is on Wednesday 5 th May and EVERYONE is welcome to attend. ANZAC DAY The ANZAC day remembrance March will be held on Sunday 18 th April. All players (Wearing their Rhinos playing gear) are to meet at the top of Morotai Road at 2.00pm for the March to Hero s Hill followed by a short ceremony. This is especially important for community spirit so we encourage everyone to attend. REBEL We have signed up with Rebel for their MVP program. Once you receive your temporary card and use it for the first time Rebel will give you your own personal MVP card which entitles you to in store discounts. As well as that every time it is used we receive 5% in the way of sponsorship. A game which would test the boys in the Grade competition for the first time, we knew we would be in for a torrid clash. At first I thought that we were playing an under 9's team, but the main challenge proved to be the man in the middle, who thought the old "no offside rule" was brought back into the game. We never stood a chance with him swapping his whistle for a ground official shirt straight after our game. A fast beginning to Berala saw us back pedalling early, never really getting back into the game. After a couple of tries, we started to get a bit of ball only to get punished time and time again by the bigger opposition and the whistle. Full credit must go to our boys for not giving up and playing tough to the end. A big wrap however must go to Joseph Vili, without him we would have lost by plenty more. Our lone try scorer and Man of the Match, well done mate. A good effort from Jacob who made plenty of runs in his first official game of footy. Overall I thought the guys played well, but we do need to practise moving up together in a line and tackling. Keep trying guys and never give up. Michael Wave Kitchens Under 8 s Rhino s 20 Milperra 20 U8's had a big Saturday for our first game starting with our day match against Milperra Colts. With no reserve we tried to outwit them, but at the end we ended up with a draw (20-20).So well done U8's,outstanding runs from Deamma with the longest run to score.we would also like to Welcome Jackson to our team with your pace and try scoring you will be an asset to the team. Saturday Night -was a great experience for our team who played at ANZ stadium Homebush at 1/2 time during the Bulldogs vs Warriors game. Was a quick game and the U8's tried hard against a Grade 1 Greeenacre team.even though we lost (8-0) we thoroughly enjoyed the experience playing at a huge staduim.i would like to thank the kids for being so well behaved at ANZ stadium. A big Thank You to all the Parents & Family's who came out to support us and thank you Jen Tilley for the photo's. Should have for the Sat night game from Jan Tilley. Crust Pizza Under 10 s Rhino s 16 Bankstown Sports 10 Congratulations to the whole team for a well deserved win in particular the 5 new players Isaac, Sabrina, Tyrone, Ahmad and Josh. The game was very close with us leading 10 nil and then Bankstown Sports scoring 2 quick tries after half time to level the scores. We hung in there and some crucial tackles in particular by Christian and Matthew kept us in the game. In the end we scored 3 tries from Luke, Ryan and Isaac plus goals to Ryan and Isaac. A big thank you to the 2 Isaac s and Matthew for backing up after the Under 9 game. Although we have a lot to learn if the team plays as a team and help each other we will have an enjoyable season. Very important, please cut your finger nails the night before each game. If the Referee says your nails are too long you will be on the bench for the 1 st half. 5 True Blue Collectables Under 12 s Rhinos 6 Milperra 36 Well finally week one was upon us and we had to travel to Milperra to take on their boys I have to be honest it wasn t the best preparation but it was only week one so I wont dwell on it to much but boys it is vey important to give me your attention for 1 hour every Tuesday and Thursday so we as staff Miguel and ace and myself can teach you the appropriate skills to get you guys through your games injury free and you can enjoy yourselves and have confidence in each other which at the moment there are a few boys who don t back themselves but we will work on that and in saying that lets talk about the game once again it was week one we are still getting to know each other and it showed in defence there was certain times we didn t follow the ball by sliding in defence which we have been doing at training and that s a simple thing to fix what im very happy with is your effort you showed me that you do care and did try your little butts of little things like Jason Yerbury effort to chase the attacker down and hold him up when it was a certain try bombed was the highlight for me. Jason that s what we as coaches love to see mate and Marcus and Jayden running the ball up hard all day is also promising and the little general Jake carter great kicking game mate and for Jayden to chase the kicks and tackle the opposition on there line is also promising and big Mustafa thank you that s how you should bee tackling and running good boy but and its only a little but we have to really concentrate on defence boys don t forget we have 5 under 11s and they have 4 division 1 and the rest are division 2 players so i think not bad for round one well get them last round at our park boys so thank you again for your effort and cu at training GO THE MIGHTY RHINOS U12S. Carlos, Miguel and Ace Bankstown Mufflers Under 13 s - Rhinos 22 Berala 38 For the first game of the season the under 13s found themselves back in grade after a three year absence. For this game we came up against our old Grand Final foes from last year, the Berala Bears. Early on the Rhinos applied good pressure which resulted in a try to Salah within the first 10 minutes. This try was converted and we started to look good but then Berala took an intercept pass against the run of play to make the score 6-4 After this Berala came on strong to post two more tries to make the score 14-6 at half time. After the break Berala put on more points and started to pull away but then the Rhinos made a fight back via a good try to Dylan followed by a try to Salah. Then with about 7 Minutes to go Alex made great break with a never say die attitude to score under the posts to make the score 32 to 22. However before the final siren Berala scored again to make the final score 38 to 22 Tries Salah 2, Dylan 1, Alex 1 Goals Michael 2, Dylan 1 Andrew Tangerine Café Under 14 s Rhino s 20 St Johns 30 With the step up to 1 st Division this season the boys have been made fully aware that our on-field performances will not be gauged by the scoreboard this season. Our objective is to remain competitive in every game. For 45mins of this week s game we achieved this. Our worst period of play was the 15mins directly after halftime where St Johns put 20 points on us. Great performances by Daniel Russell, Jarrod Bow & Josh Mazloum, and a huge game by Jayden Dudgeon warrant special mention. Both Jay Bitz & Zac Riddell played some very long minutes, and perhaps if both Kelton & Mark had of played the result could ve been different for us. We need to start putting into practice on the field what we do at training in both our attack and defense. Remember a smart player will beat a big player every time. Rhino Fan Collimore Painting Under 15 s No Report Submitted ADCAS Security Under 16 s Rhinos 10 v East Hills B 60 A disappointing start to the season with a convincing defeat to the hands of the East Hills B side. We went into the game with only 13 players and not having a bench for the game really took its toll. Our defense at some points was non existent and definitely needs some serious attention. Too many easy try s were let in. Our fitness levels need to improve also and we will be working on both these issues to Improve our game. When we did get some possession, we showed glimpse s of potential which will only improve over time once our combinations start to gel. Good games were had by Curtis, Jake, Adam and Craig who all tried hard. Plenty of room for improvement Rhinos.. Dave, Scott, Cameron and Jenny.

6 Under 19 s Rhinos 14 Mascot 52 Tries: Pat Lenard 2, Cameron Mortimer 1. Goals: Anthony Khoury 1. Firstly a warm welcome to all the new players who've joined us this year and welcome back to all the loyal players from previous years in shaping up to be a very good year for our most senior team. We have a great bunch of young men who seem to be gelling together very well and we're sure they will do the club proud both on and off the field. Unfortunately due to injuries, illness, representative and other commitments we were missing around 9 players on Sunday. This meant we could only take the field with the bare minimum of 13 players and we were soon reduced to twelve following an injury to Inoke. It was a very hot day at the picturesque Mascot oval and the boys showed a lot of heart to compete strongly with the opposition all afternoon. The score line didn't reflect the committed effort put in by all the players. We were left lamenting the absence of players for this match but very confident we could compete strongly against Mascot next time round with a full bench of reserves. All the coaching staff are very excited about the season ahead and will be doing their best to support and improve the skills of the players. Hi boys Carlos here, first of all i want to say if there was a comp for heart and commitment you 13 boys would be runaway premiers i don t know why i am surprised with your effort because i have been seeing these boys do it week in week out for the last 4 years. we get more numbers rocking up and giving this comp a good crack i know there s injury s and boys with commitments but seriously we have to start now and you all know that i don t like to single players out but great game PAT your effort was great keep it up mate so boys lets dust ourselves off and go again hey cu at training PS: HALLY YOU OWE ME A BEER!!!!!! and also i forgot to say thankyou to Luke for helping the boys out mate you had a good game what a shame you wont stick around lol!
