They also commended the club s committee, volunteers and players for the manner in which they represent their club, both on and off the field. Craughwell were also presented with the U16 League Championship trophy and the U18 Connacht Shield that our teams won last season. 2 Three Gallagher brothers in scoring form Benny Gallagher Ryan Gallagher Shaun Gallagher The first half of the season has had its fair share of rain but three Gallagher brothers have been mopping up goals with twenty four between them already. Ryan has scored eleven on Dave McFadden s U14 team while Shaun (7) and Brendan (6) have helped our Junior Men s side to the top of League Division Four. Their father, Craughwell Legend Mickey also knew where the net was, so the lads must have picked up something along the way. Craughwell Tyre Centre sponsor our U17 squad Craughwell United s U17 boys were presented with a new kit in December from local business Craughwell Tyre Centre. 4 Galway WFC put on training session for Craughwell players Galway WFC manager Don O Riordan, coaches Alan McNevin and Susie Cunningham along with Galway players Tina, Maebh, Ellie and Carol were at Coleman Park in early November for a training session which was thoroughly enjoyed by our female players from the U12/14/16/18 squads. As part of the evening, Alan McNevin worked with our goalkeepers and Susie Cunningham focussed on some strength and conditioning exercises. Don O Riordan then put all the players through drills and skills to wrap up the evening. The Galway manager indicated that we will return in the New Year to work on match formations and team structures with our coaches and players alike. Girl s U12 Development blitz to be re-scheduled for January Craughwell United were due to host an U12 girl's development blitz on Sunday 29 November at Coleman Park but the appaling weather on that weekend and subsequent weekends meant that there was no choice but to postpone until the New Year. The re-scheduled blitz will feature visiting teams from Athenry, Colga, Kiltormer and Kinvara and will give our girls more game time outside of the Galway FA league programme. Details to follow on our website in due course.
