2 The Old Geelong Football Club Welcome to the Old Geelong Football Club The OGFC was formed in 1954, and currently competes in Division 1 in the Victorian Amateur Football Association, with our home ground being the pristine Como Park in South Yarra. The club was established to provide Old Geelong Grammarians and Collegians a place to play football in Melbourne. This has since expanded to include both netball and cricket, with all three now comprising the Old Geelong Sporting Club. Whilst the club recruits and retains close contacts with both our feeder schools, we similarly welcome players from all sources and backgrounds. Old Geelong Development (OGD) Squad By joining the OGFC in 2015, not only will you join a club with a rich and proud history, but you will have the opportunity to be a part of our inaugural Old Geelong Development (OGD) Squad. The OGD is designed to provide you with the resources and support to accelerate your football development, enhance your leadership skills and assist you with best preparing yourself to make a smooth transition into the next phase of your life, be that school to university, or university to the workforce.

4 Old Geelong Development Squad OGD Squad 2015 Should you choose to accept our invitation, you are making a commitment to the ongoing success of the football club and a personal pledge to reach your full potential as a young person. With a clear framework and direction, players will participate and engage in an environment that encourages on field development through high level coaching, whilst providing personalised off-field support, through learning and career development opportunities. Entry to the program is strictly limited, with members required to uphold standards established by the club. Are you ready to be the best footballer you can possibly be?

5 The OGD Squad On Field OGFC is committed to the ongoing development of all our players. We want to fast track your development to help you become the best player you can possibly be. The program includes: Gym Access - 7 free group sessions at Gript PT (compulsory) and discounted gym membership Player Development - High attention to skill development and game sense training methodology Rehabilitation - Free gym access when attending rehabilitation sessions Strength/Conditioning - Tailored weights program designed by Personal Training experts. Off Field OGFC is well aware that football is just one part of your broader life, so we have included a number of exciting off-field opportunities that support our players in terms of education, career and social involvement. The program includes: Career Mentoring - One on one career and mentoring opportunities through our extensive Old Geelong network. Job Placement - Recruitment assistance through Event Workforce. Community Service Group activity representing the OGFC s ongoing commitment to the Stonnington area. Leadership Workshop Highlighting the importance of taking care of oneself, from an emotional and mental perspective as well as physical. Coaching /Mentoring - One on one coaching at training, enabling you to accelerate your football development and mentoring from a selected senior player at OGFC.
