Member Event Introductory We are looking forward to hosting a full events schedule this 2018 season. We have had a few setbacks the past couple years but the great news is that we have come through it in superior condition and prepared for many years to come! There have been several improvements to the facilities in 2017, with the cost close to $600,000. The greens were converted from the aging bentgrass to the fantastic Champion Ultra Dwarf Bermuda. The roofs were replaced on the range building and the on course bathroom facility. The windows as well as the front doors were replaced in the clubhouse. The steps to the back patio of the clubhouse and the front steps from the parking lot were repaired. Several tee tops on the course were sodded and over 100 trees were removed to help with sunlight for turf growth. Irrigation improvements were made all over the course and the clubhouse grounds which will help tremendously in dry times of the year. A new practice putting green was installed behind the driving range and improvements to the landscape were made around the clubhouse and throughout the course. Some other improvements that will take place this year are upgrading/paving the cart paths, replacing and installing railroad ties and upgrading the facility with new landscaping. As you can see there is a lot of work going on at Wildwood Green in order to improve our services and the experience of being a member! We have many new events scheduled this year which include Wine & Design, a Ryder Cup event, Meet & Greet Socials, College Sport Event, LPGA Pools, Themed Dinner Nights and so much more. In the past we have always focused much of our attention on our golf events but this year we have added numerous social events to our member events schedule. One of our new social events, the Meet & Greet, will be a great way for new members to learn more about our different member groups and committees. We hope everyone enjoys our robust member events schedule this year! Thank you so much for being a member at Wildwood Green Golf Club and please help us by continuing to fill out comment cards! Let us know how we can continue to improve our events.

8 Social Events We have many social events planned this year. Our goal is to eventually become a private golf course so we are going to host more social events while working towards our goal. The most popular social event we hold year after year is our poker nights which are scheduled throughout the fall and winter months. We will be trying out some new social events at Wildwood Green this year. Some of these new featured social events are singo, wine & design, themed dinner nights, single nights, new member socials and so much more. With golf and social events scheduled year round your enjoyment at the club never ends! If there are any social events that you would like to see added to our event schedule, please fill out a comment card with your requests. More information about a few of these special social events can be found below. Poker Night: The game of Texas Hold Em is played at all of our scheduled poker nights. The participants will be the dealers for the games throughout the evening. Food and drinks are not included in the entry fee but will be available to purchase throughout the night. Wine & Design: Paint and sip or wine and design classes are very popular now so we decided to bring them to Wildwood Green. We will have an instructor who will be going step by step on how to create a work of art while sipping on your favorite drinks. Please do not be afraid if you don t believe in your artistic talent. These instructors have a way of making it really fun and easy! Everyone s painting will turn out a little different but I bet you ll all be surprised with your artistic ability at the end of the class. Drink specials will be offered and food will be available to purchase! New Member Social Events: This is a great way for new members of the club to meet current members. We plan to have the representatives of the Wildwood leagues and groups available to talk to new members about joining such as the Wildoats, Wildflowers, Gaggle, Handicap Committee, Interclub, the Board of Advisors and many more. Couples Golf We host our Couples Golf Tournaments throughout the Fall, Spring and Summer seasons. These 9-hole golf events are always a fun way to meet other couples at the club. We have had incredible participation over the past few years and it seems that every year the participation grows and it has turned into our most popular 9-hole competition. Our couples events are held Sunday evenings and then followed by a delicious dinner either provided by Bogey s Grill or catered. The format for most of our couple events is a four person team, net captain s choice. Two couples will be paired together and a percentage of their team handicap is factored in to get their final net score. During the golf tournament we host proximity games for both men and women and prizes will be available for each. Spouses who do not play golf are welcome to join us for dinner after play for a small fee. We hope to see all the couples out at these events this year!

Major Events Spring Member-Member Friday, April 20 th - Sunday, April 22 nd Wildwood Green will kick off their 2018 Majors with the Spring Member-Member. This is a two-person team event with a format of 1 gross plus 1 net. Flights will be determined by the average of the team's handicap index. Teams can be made up of either men or women or a mixture of both. Course handicaps will be calculated based on the tee color chosen by each golfer. To accompany the championship matches, there will be an optional team skins game and hat pool offered for the weekend. This first Major of the year is always a great value as the event features a Friday night pairings party, two days of competition, proximity games, breakfast and lunch both days and an awards ceremony on Sunday evening. Be sure not to miss out on this exciting team competition and marking the date on your calendar. Club Championship Saturday, June 9 th & Sunday, June 10 th The most prestigious title at Wildwood Green has to be the title of Club Champion. This two-day stroke play competition, which sees the club s best golfers, will undoubtedly see great scores again in The Club Championship will be flighted by age and then by handicap. Flight size is solely dependent on how many people sign up in the age division. No handicap will be used in competition and men and women will compete in separate flights. We will also host a net division Club Championship and anyone who has a USGA recognized handicap is allowed to compete in the net division. The net division will not be broken down into flights instead it will be created with one big flight. Everyone playing in the net division will use a percentage of their course handicap. The difference in tee ratings will be factored in to the handicaps however, to be crowned the overall men s and women s champion, you must play from the blue tee markers and the red tee markers respectively and in the gross division 2017 Spring Member-Member Overall Champions: Zac Truesdale & Taylor Britt 2017 Overall Club Champions: Denice Short & Tim Manyatis Ryder Cup Inaugural Event Saturday, August 4 th & Sunday, August 5 th For the first time ever in our events line-up, we will be hosting a Ryder Cup Golf style tournament. The Ryder Cup is a 36-hole match play event which features two days of competition. This event will consist of 4 different matches played throughout the two days and 4 separate 9-hole competitions occur with players accumulating points for their team by winning or tying their match. The team with the most points after the completion of the four matches wins! The event will be open to the first 32 players who sign up. The two, 16 person teams will be created by the golf shop based on the player s handicap indexes. A captain will be designated on both teams who will be in charge of creating the matches and pairings for their respective team. Don t miss out on this extraordinary event!

10 Fall Member-Member Friday, September 21 st - Sunday, September 23 rd Our highly anticipated and most popular event will be held at the end of September. The format for the Fall Member-Member is five, nine hole matches. There will be three matches played Saturday and two matches played on Sunday. Teams can be made up of either men or women or a mixture of both. The two-person teams will be flighted according to the average of the low handicap index for each player and each flight will have a max of 6, two person teams. Each person will play their own ball for each hole. The lowest net score on each hole will win between the two teams. One point is available on each hole and one point for winning the match (10 points per nine holes). Holes may be halved and a 9-hole match may end in a tie at 5 points for each team. The team with the most points after the five matches, from each flight, will compete in a sudden death playoff for the title of Overall Member-Member Champion. Also, just like the Spring Member-Member, we will offer a hat pool and skins game. Be sure to grab your partner and sign up early as this event always fills up quickly! 2017 Fall Member-Member Overall Champions: Andy Thornburg & Alex Nianouris 50/50 Weekly Member Raffle We will host a 50/50 weekly member raffle in order to help raise money for improvements around the Wildwood Green facility. We are currently working towards an awning for the back patio and plastic enclosures and heaters for the pavilion. Other improvements will be determined from customer comment cards and what is feasible for the club to accomplish. The drawing will occur at 4:00 PM each Friday throughout the year. There is one poker chip per membership in the bowl and each membership has been assigned a number which corresponds to what is written on the poker chip. Poker chips are placed into the bowl and a member will draw one chip from the bowl. Participants must pay their $5 entry each week to be eligible to win. Each Friday when the chip is drawn we will check the number on the chip and then find out which membership that corresponds with. If the membership has paid their $5 entry for that week, they win 50% of the pool. Each week Wildwood Green will take 50% of the entries. If the membership did not pay their entry that week and no winner is determined for the week, the money carries over to the next week. Members have the option to prepay their $5 for the year if they would like.

PGA/LPGA Tour Major Events Every year we host Major Championship Pools at Wildwood Green in conjunction with the PGA Tour s major events. This year we have decided to include the LPGA Tour major events in our pool schedule. These individual net challenges will begin two weeks before the Major Championship s first round and payout will be in Wildwood Green gift cards. The final opportunity to enter the challenges will be on the Saturday (third round) of the major event at 12:00 PM noon. You may enter as many times as you want before the cut off! Rules and Information Entry: $5 - Members may enter as many times as they like (paying $5 for each entry) from two Saturday s before the major event until Saturday of the major event at noon A USGA recognized handicap is required for participation. Format: Participants will use their full handicap and will turn in their attested scorecard to the golf shop following their round. Members who enter the pool must have an established USGA recognized handicap. The net score of the participant will then be added to a professional's (chosen by blind draw) third and fourth round scores. The winners will be determined by the low 54 hole score and payout will be in Wildwood Green gift cards. The remaining purse will be paid out in Wildwood Green gift cards as follows: 1st Place - 40% Blind Draw Winner - 10% 2nd Place - 30% PGA/LPGA Event Winner - 10% 3rd Place - 20% 4th Place - 10% PGA Major Event Schedule The Masters: April 5 th April 8 th Augusta National: Augusta, Georgia U.S. Open Championship: June 14 th June 17 th Shinnecock Hills Golf Club: Southampton, New York The Open Championship: July 19 th July 22 nd Carnoustie Golf Links, Carnoustie, Scotland The PGA Championship: August 9 th August 12 th Bellerive Country Club: Town & Country, Missouri LPGA Major Event Schedule ANA Inspiration: March 29 th April 1 st Mission Hills Country Club: Rancho Mirage, California U.S. Women s Open: May 31 st June 3 rd Shoal Creek Country Club: Shoal Creek, Alabama KPMG PGA Championship: June 28 th July 1 st Kemper Lakes Golf Club: Kildeer, Illinois Ricoh Women s British Open: August 2 nd August 5 th Royal Lytham Golf Club: Lancashire, England The Evian Championship: September 13 th 16 th Evian Resort Golf Club: Evian-Les-Bains, France

12 U.S.G.A Handicap Information Wildwood Green Golf Club is a member of the Carolinas Golf GHIN System, a stroke control system for handicapping purposes. Handicaps are computed twice a month (1 st and 15 th ) throughout the year. To allow our members to participate in the tournaments throughout our district, we must adhere to all CGA/USGA rules and regulations. For a majority of the Wildwood Green events we require an established U.S.G.A recognized handicap. We require an established handicap in order to make the competition fair, create flights or to create teams. If you do not currently have an established handicap and wish to set one up, a golf shop employee would be happy to help register you through the Carolinas Golf GHIN. Our golf shop employees post all of the event scores after the final day of competition is completed. Some of the events will be deemed a tournament score depending on the event format. You will be notified if it will be posted as a tournament score or a regular home round during the event rules announcements. Posting Scores After completing 18 holes, the player must enter his or her adjusted score in the handicap computer located in the Golf Shop. In addition, scores from other courses must also be entered into the computer for your handicap computation, using your adjusted score and the course slope and rating. If you have any questions concerning any of the above procedures, please ask one of the Golf Professionals for assistance. All 9 hole scores as well as all rounds of 13 holes or more are also required to be posted. If you play at least 13 holes, the remaining un-played holes, for handicap purposes, shall be recorded as par plus any handicap strokes that you are entitled to receive on the un-played holes. Adjust your scores with Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) Equitable Stroke Control (ESC) is the system which limits the number of strokes a golfer may report for handicap purposes. The way to adjust scores with ESC sets a maximum number that a player can post on any hole depending on the player s course handicap. 18 Hole Course Handicap: 9 or Less 10 to to to or More Maximum Score Posted on Hole: Double Bogey
