3 Bunker Report Following the completion of the recent Annual Member Feedback Surveys an independent review of the condition of our course bunkers was sought. This was recently completed by regolf Design and the report has been forwarded to the Course Committee and Club Council for their consideration and action. Donation to Galway Swan Rescue The Club recently made a presentation of a cheque for nearly 600 to the Galway Swan Rescue Charity. They were responsible for the care of the cygnets who were born on the course last summer and who were abandoned by their parents during the drought. The cheque represented the entry fees from a recent competition for which the prizes were funded from the uncollected vouchers from this year s presentations. Pictured with the Club GM are Mary & Mike who were most grateful to the club members for their generosity Lady Captains Dinner Thank you to everyone who attended the Lady Captain s Dinner last Friday evening. A great night was had in the company of friends and members. Congratulations to Lady Captain Julia on a great year. Pictures from the night are available on the club Facebook page and also from the social section of the club website Locker Works Re Ventilation Please note that holes will be drilled in the top of all bag lockers on Tuesday December 4 th next. These works were requested by Club Council to allow for ventilation of same. If you have items of value in the lockers and which might be affected by the works please arrange to remove same for the day. Bundee Aki Visit Connacht and Ireland Rugby Player Bundee Aki visited the club this week when he was filming a Vodafone commercial which will air during the upcoming 6 nations Championship. Bundee doesn t get his clubs out too often these days but was very impressed with what he saw on the day. Dining Room Credit Members are reminded that the dining room credit on their GUI Swipe cards must be used by the end of December or will be lost. The dining room staff can check the credit left on your card at any time by request.

4 Care for the Course Please see images below all taken on the 1 st green last week. This is very disappointing to see. All members are reminded to care for the course with the proper repair of plug marks. Costello Cup Past Winners Event Tee reserved on Saturday December 1 st from 10.30am. New Gents Bag Lockers We have identified space for an additional 12 gents bag lockers and these will be installed in the coming week. The current waitlist will be used to allocate these. Unfortunately due to space limitation we do not foresee being to allocate one to everyone on the waitlist. Ladies Club AGM Well done to the ladies on another smooth running AGM last Sunday evening. Congratulations to incoming Lady Captain Imelda and all her officers, committee and volunteers. All motions brought forward were passed unanimously on the evening.
