A great crowd were in attendance for both golf and dinner. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day with the overall winners pictured below with Captain and Lady Captain. Monday 30 th March GUI Rules Night We would like to thank the GUI for running a very informative evening on the rules of golf. Rules always prove to be a tricky but interesting subject and the GUI were excellent in providing some insight into all queries raised by our members.

Scoring was excellent with 9 players having 40+ pts. In first was F Mc Cormick with 43 pts, 2 nd was J Parr with 42 pts and in 3 rd was J Bagnall 41 ½ pts. A big thank you to all of our seniors for such an enjoyable season! North Eastern Seniors League Both the 4 th and 5 th rounds of the NESL were played during the month of March with the first at Baltray G.C. on Monday 9 th March. Strong winds crossed the links and made for extremely difficult playing conditions. Our team put together a respectable 143 pts with the 4 best cards but it was Ardee and Baltray who led on the day with 155 pts. Our best pair were M Reavey & R Martin with 40 pts. Round 5 brought us home to Warrenpoint on Monday 30 th March. Our team put together a superb 174 pts but were narrowly beaten by Headfort who had an incredible 177 pts. F Rushe & R Martin had a superb 48 pts and best score on the day. The final round is scheduled for this month at Laytown & Bettystown.

6 Down Junior Challenge Qualifying Section Thursday 9 th WGC An exciting competition has been organised in conjunction with the Irish Open whereby Juvenile Golfers can play for the chance to qualify for the finals at Ardglass G.C. The overall winners will will have the chance to meet with some of the stars from the European Tour & PGA Tour for photographs and they will also receive some signed merchandise.
