All broadcast times are Facebook: ( QUICK FACTS: This year marks the 37 th anniversary of PGA TOUR Champions and the 10 th year for the DICK S Sporting Goods Open. The tournament is the 14th of 26 official events in 2016 a season that concludes with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on November at the Desert Mountain Club (Cochise Course) in Scottsdale, Ariz. PGA TOUR Champions primary purpose is to provide significant competitive and earnings opportunities for players ages 50 and older, to protect the integrity of the game and to help grow the reach of the game in the U.S. and around the world. Prize money on the Tour in 2016 is $55,300,000 million RECAP: Jeff Maggert overcame a four-stroke deficit at the start of the day, shooting a bogey-free 6-under-par 66 on Sunday to eventually outpace Paul Goydos by two strokes at the ninth DICK S Sporting Goods Open. Making his first appearance at En-Joie Golf Club since the 2003 B.C. Open on the PGA TOUR, Maggert started his day with three straight birdies to jump into contention and then had another run of three consecutive birdies midway through the round to separate himself from a pack of contenders. However, Goydos emerged to challenge Maggert on the back nine, getting within a stroke of the eventual winner with a two-putt birdie at the par-5 12th hole. Even after hitting his drive on the par-4 15th hole into the hazard, Goydos made a fivefoot putt for a bogey to stay in the game. However, he could never get closer to Maggert than two strokes the rest of the way, missing makeable birdie putts on his last three holes from 15 feet or less. The win marked Maggert s second title in three starts and his fourth tournament overall during the 2015 PGA TOUR Champions season. Earlier in the month, Maggert won at the Shaw Charity Classic in Calgary, Canada. In addition to his win in Calgary and Endicott, Maggert also won a pair of major championships -- the Regions Tradition and the U.S. Senior Open.

THE HISTORY OF DICK S SPORTING GOODS: The year was Eighteen-year-old Dick Stack was an energetic salesman at a small Army and Navy store in Binghamton, New York. One day, the store owner asked Dick, an avid fisherman, if it would be a good idea to sell fishing gear in his shop. Dick offered to develop a plan. After working tirelessly on a business plan over a succession of sleepless nights, Dick nervously approached the owner with his vision. The response was stinging. Dumbfounded, Dick was told that he didn t know what he was doing and would never make a good merchant. That evening, frustrated and dejected, Dick retreated to his grandmother s home. She listened quietly as he recounted his story. When he had finished, she rose silently and went to the kitchen. Removing the lid from her cookie jar, she extracted $300 of her hard-earned savings and pressed the bills into Dick s hand. Dick, always follow your dreams, she advised. With his grandmother s $300, Dick opened a modest bait and tackle shop in Binghamton. By 1958, at the urging of his loyal customers, he expanded his product line to include much of what you ll find at DICK S Sporting Goods today. Now with over 475 stores, DICK S family continues to offer the finest quality products at competitive prices, backed by the best service anywhere. Like you, we have a real passion for sports and are excited to bring the enthusiasm and experience to the online community. ABOUT EN-JOIE: En-Joie was the first corporate-built golf course in the country. It was originally constructed for the employees of Endicott Johnson, at the time, one of America s largest shoe manufacturers, with more than 1,000 workers in the Endicott area. Originally opened in 1929, En- Joie was completely re-designed due to the flooding which had occurred over the years. The course was originally built on an apple orchard, however, no apple trees remain on the course today. The course served as the venue for the PGA TOUR s B.C. Open from A total of 13 TOUR players earned their first career wins at the B.C. Open, starting in 1974 when Richie Karl captured the event. KEY STORYLINES GREAT FIELD ON TAP: Below are some quick facts on the 81-player field competing in the 2016 DICK s Sporting Goods Open 59 players in the field have won a total of 302 PGA TOUR events 45 players in the field have won 205 titles on PGA TOUR Champions Two members of the World Golf Hall of Fame Larry Nelson and Vijay Singh 11 players in the field have won major championships on the PGA TOUR and 17 on PGA TOUR Champions FAN FAVORITE JOHN DALY BACK IN ENDICOTT: 1992 B.C. Open winner John Daly returns to En-Joie for the first time as a PGA TOUR Champions player after turning 50 on April 28. It will be his seventh start on the senior circuit, with his best performance being T15 at the Regions Tradition in May. Daly s 1992 victory helped validate his surprise win at the 1991 PGA Championship, but was also a reminder of the vast talent the former Arkansas Razorback possessed. Entering the final round, Daly held a twoshot lead over Ken Green and a young Phil Mickelson, who was making just the seventh start of his professional career. A closing 66 gave Daly a dominant six-shot victory, thanks in part to a scorecard which reflected just one bogey over 72 holes. Of the win, Daly said: "It's just like the PGA. You get chills up and down your body. Your heart is pumping. The hair is standing on your arms. There's no feeling better than that, coming up 18 and winning a golf tournament. I've always said that I play for the fans. VAN DE VELDE TO MAKE PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS DEBUT: Jean Van de Velde will make his PGA TOUR Champions debut at the DICK s Sporting Goods Open, where he will be competing on a sponsor s

exemption. The Frenchman s 1999 collapse on the 72nd hole at Carnoustie Golf Links (site of this year s Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex) put him in golf s history books forever, as an infamous triple-bogey at the closing hole left him in a playoff with Paul Lawrie and Justin Leonard, which Lawrie won for his only major championship title. Van de Velde, who turned 50 on May 29 and will make his first appearance at En-Joie Golf Course, collected two victories in his European Tour career and represented Europe in the 1999 Ryder Cup. In 2012, the Mont-de-Marsan native became just the second French sportsman to be named a UNICEF ambassador, following in the footsteps of former soccer star Lilian Thuram. VIJAY SINGH TO MAKE FIRST START IN BROOME COUNTY: In addition to Van De Velde, World Golf Hall of Fame member Vijay Singh will also make his first appearance in Endicott. Singh finished runner-up at the PGA TOUR s Quicken Loans National last week, posting a 14-under 270 total to wind up three shots shy of winner Billy Hurley III. At 53 years, 4 months and 4 days, Singh would have become the oldest winner in PGA TOUR history with a Sunday victory at Congressional Country Club. The runner-up was the 28th of his TOUR career, but his first since the 2013 Frys.com Open. The Fijian has made two starts on PGA TOUR Champions this year, posting a T8 at the season-opening Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai and withdrawing prior to the final round of the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship with a side injury. ANDRADE KNOCKING ON VICTORY S DOOR: Billy Andrade heads to Endicott as the highest ranked player in the Charles Schwab Cup standings without a win in Andrade, who sits at No. 2 with $840,191 in earnings, has recorded seven top-10 finishes in 13 starts, including three top-3 efforts. The four-time PGA TOUR winner lost a playoff to Esteban Toledo at the Allianz Championship in February and finished one shot back of winner Scott McCarron at the Principal Charity Classic earlier this month. The 52-year-old won three times on PGA TOUR Champions in 2015, recording two wins in his last six starts of the year - including the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship. The three victories mark his only wins in three years on Tour, where he has collected four runner-up finishes. AUSTIN GOES FOR FOURTH WIN IN 2016; APPROACHES $1 MILLION MARK: Woody Austin comes to Endicott with victories this season after claiming the Tucson Conquistadores Classic, Mitsubishi Electric Classic and Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge (with Michael Allen) titles. Austin will make his third start at the DICK S Sporting Goods Open after finishing tied for second last year. He is currently third in the Charles Schwab Cup standings with $818,245 in earnings; however, he owns just one top-25 finish since win No. 3 at the Legends of Golf. TRIPLETT EYEING BACK-TO-BACK WINS: Kirk Triplett picked up the fifth win of his PGA TOUR Champions career at last month s American Family Insurance Championship. The win marked his fifth top-10 of the 2016 season, and pushed him up to No. 5 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings with $767,965 in earnings on the year. The win was his first since claiming the 2014 SAS Championship a span of 36 starts on Tour. With the victory, Triplett became the eighth player in history to notch a career win on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and Web.com Tour. In his only career start in Endicott, Triplett finished T38 in the event s 2012 edition. Woody Austin was the most recent player to win in back-toback starts, doing so in April of this year at the Mitsubishi Electric Classic and the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge. LANGER ATOP CHARLES SCHWAB CUP STANDINGS Bernhard Langer leads the Charles Schwab Cup with $1,559,050 in earnings, thanks to wins at the Chubb Classic, Regions Tradition and Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship. Current standings: 1. Bernhard Langer $1,559,050 Three wins 2. Billy Andrade $830,191 Two runner-ups; six top-5s 3. Woody Austin $813,245 Three wins

4. Duffy Waldorf $771,018 One win, seven top-10 finishes 5. Kirk Triplett $767,965 One win, five top-10 finishes THE 59 CLUB: On Saturday of the 2014 DICK s Sporting Goods Open, Kevin Sutherland made history after posting the first sub-60 score ever recorded on PGA TOUR Champions, making 12 birdies, an eagle and a bogey for 59. Sutherland started his round with seven birdies and an eagle over the first eight holes. After making par on No. 9, he added consecutive birdies at Nos to get to 11-under for his first 11 holes. After three more pars, he made birdies on Nos Standing on the 18 th tee at 14-under for his round, Sutherland pushed his drive into the trees right of the fairway. He then punched his second shot short left of the 18 th green. With a putter in hand, Sutherland ran his first putt seven feet past the hole and missed the par effort. BROOME COUNTY CHARITIES: The DICK S Sporting Goods Open is operated by Broome County Community Charities, Inc. (BCCC) and has given almost $15 million back to charity since its inception in Not only has BCCC been the sponsoring organization of professional golf in the area for over four decades, but the group is also involved in providing funds for scholarships, providing leadership and funds to build such things as a community meeting hall, remodeling the Boys and Girls Club and Community Center, and particularly funding a multitude of health related programs throughout the southern tier region of New York State. This year s event will again benefit both Lourdes Hospital Foundation and United Services Foundation. THE RARE DOUBLE: It s only happened 16 times in the history of PGA TOUR Champions players winning PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions events at the same venue. John Cook was the last to do it, winning the Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach in 2014, 33 years after claiming the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at the same venue. A total of eight professionals in this year s field who also won the B.C. Open in their PGA TOUR careers have a chance to add their names as the 17 th, including John Daly, Fred Funk, Bill Glasson, Jay Haas, Wayne Levi, Joey Sindelar, Jeff Sluman and Craig Stadler. HOW THE LEADERS HAVE FARED: In the nine-year history of the DICK S Sporting Goods Open, John Huston (2011) is the only first-round leader/co-leader to go on and win. Three of the second-round leaders/co-leaders have gone on to win this event R.W. Eaks (2007), Eduardo Romero (2008) and Bart Bryant (2013). THE ELUSIVE ACE: In the nine-year history of the tournament, just two players have carded a hole in-one. During last year s final round, Mike Goodes recorded his first ace on PGA TOUR Champions at the 194-yard, par-3, 7th hole with a 5-iron shot. It was the first at En-Joie Golf Club since R. W. Eaks made a hole in one on the same hole in the second round of the 2007 event, the inaugural year of the tournament. GOING LOW TO WIN AT EN-JOIE: R.W. Eaks (2007) is the only past champion of the DICK S Sporting Goods Open that opened with a round in the 70s. Eaks shot 71 on Friday, but eventually rallied to claim the inaugural event by three strokes. Bart Bryant, the 2013 winner, had the highest finalround score by a winner. Bryant s 72 on Sunday was 10 strokes higher than his round on Saturday and it equaled the highest finish by a winner on PGA TOUR Champions in 2013 (Bernhard Langer/ACE Group Classic, Mark Wiebe/Pacific Links Hawaii Championship). The DICK S Sporting Goods Open winner has shot 66 or better on Sunday in six of the last nine years. FIRST TITLES: Four of the nine previous winners of the DICK S Sporting Goods Open, including three of the last five champions, claimed their initial victories on Tour at En-Joie Golf Course -- R.W. Eaks (2007), John Huston (2011), Willie Wood (2012) and Bart Bryant (2013). OLDEST, YOUNGEST: Bernhard Langer won in 2014 at 56 years, 11 months, 21 days and is the oldest

winner in tournament history. John Huston, the 2011 winner, is the youngest champion of the DICK S Sporting Goods Open, claiming his victory just 25 days after turning 50. STADS HISTORIC FEAT: In 2003, Craig Stadler made history at En-Joie Golf Course when he became the first PGA TOUR Champions player to win a PGA TOUR event a one-stroke victory at the old B.C. Open. Stadler used a final-round, 9-under-par 63 to make up eight strokes (largest comeback in tournament history) and defeat both Steve Lowery and Alex Cejka by one stroke. Stadler s victory in upstate New York made him just the second of three players in history to win a PGA TOUR and Champions Tour event in the same year (Raymond Floyd, Fred Funk). Earlier in the 2003 season, Stadler triumphed at the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship, his initial victory on Tour. TIDBITS: Local favorite Joey Sindelar has finished among the top-five three times at the DICK S Sporting Goods Open. He was T3 in 2012 after finishing fourth in both 2011 and 2008 Both Kevin Sutherland (July 4) and Scott Verplank (July 9) celebrate birthdays during the week of the DICK S Sporting Goods Open Bernhard Langer won in 2014 at 56 years, 11 months, 21 days and is the oldest winner in tournament history. John Huston, the 2011 winner, is the youngest champion of the DICK S Sporting Goods Open, claiming his victory just 25 days after turning Jeff Maggert s 14-under 202 total is the second highest 54-hole score to win the DICK S Sporting Goods Open. Only Willie Wood s 13-under 203 score in 2012 was higher by a DICK S champion Willie Wood s memorable victory in 2012 ended a personal drought of 16 years, 29 days and he became the first open qualifier to win on the Champions Tour since Rod Spittle at the 2010 AT&T Championship and just the 12 th open qualifier in Champions Tour history to claim victory Lonnie Nielsen, the 2009 champion, holds the record for most birdies in the event
