he original name of the edar Brae Golf lub was edar Brook Golf and ountry lub, a member owned golf course club from its inception in 1922.

3 he original name of the edar Brae Golf lub was edar Brook Golf and ountry lub, a member owned golf course club from its inception in he original golf course layout was designed by tanley hompson and built on 160 acres of farm property stretching from Markham oad in the east to Bellamy oad in the west just south of Lawrence venue in carborough. n 1935, selected representatives of the golf membership formed a company called edar Brae Limited and bought the assets of edar Brook Golf and ountry lub for $30,000. edar Brae Limited then set up a new oronto private golf club organization called edar Brae ecreation lub and leased the golf course property to the new club for $8,000 per year. he golf membership fee for seniors that year was $50.

n 1939, the golf club name was changed to edar Brae Golf & ountry lub.

n 1954, the golf club property was sold to developers and new property was acquired for a country club golf course on teeles venue.

Visiting guests regularly praise edar Brae's layout, course conditioning, the large fast greens that require a deft putting touch, and outstanding service received. ow the membership of this exceptional oronto golf course has taken the lub to a new level with the inauguration of its new lubhouse.

Pay attention to Pin Position and pick your club accordingly. nless you are Jordan pieth, missing left down the hill or right of the pine trees means a sure bogey. With the river left and a steep hill right, anything other than fairway could mean trouble. obbie gave you a break on the green with this relatively flat surface and a chance at Birdie from any position! 24 D B GL LB - L #13 (Par 5) his intriguing Par 5 can easily be reached in two by the longer hitter, but the tee shot must end left centre and avoid the treelines. ven with a wayward tee shot, a punch out down the fairway will leave a look to the quickest green on the course. f you miss long, be grateful for a bogey and move to the next tee. 25 D B GL LB - L #14 (Par 4) his slight dogleg left offers one of the most difficult tee shots on the course. ou must thread the needle off the tee and find the fairway in order to hit this green in regulation, usually with a mid to long iron. ight is better than left, but anything other than fairway means bogey. nother fair green here where 2 putts are likely! Playing steeply downhill, your main concern is figuring out wind direction and picking the right club. his large green has a subtle ridge splitting it, so putts from the proper side can yield a Birdie!
