2 WHAT IS MYGOLF? Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia have formed a historic joint venture to create the MyGolf program. MyGolf is the national junior introductory program to develop and promote participation in golf. Through our MyGolf Schools and Sporting Schools programs, we aim to introduce children to the game of golf through fun, engaging and challenging games that are easily adapted for a range of age groups and skill levels. MYGOLF SCHOOLS PROGRAM The MyGolf Schools program is a teacher delivered, five-session in school program designed to introduce students to the basic skills of golf. The program has been aligned to the national ACARA curriculum and lesson plans have been designed to ensure specific learning outcomes are met. MyGolf Schools not only teaches the skills of the game but also incorporates the values and life skills learnt playing the game of Golf. 3 MYGOLF SPORTING SCHOOLS PROGRAM An Australian Government initiative, Sporting Schools offers schools access to funding to deliver NSO endorsed sports programs. Golf Australia and the PGA offers registered schools the opportunity to partake in the MyGolf Sporting Schools program. School Equipment Kit Schools recieve: 4 week ACARA aligned program Access to Golf Australia endorsed coaches MyGolf School equipment kit Transport for optional golf club visit SPORTINGSCHOOLS.GOV.AU Schools can purchase their very own MyGolf School equipment kit via the MyGolf Shop online. Types of kits include: Lower primary (Grade 3-4) Upper primary (Grade 5-6) Secondary (Year 7-10) shop.mygolf.org.au

4 SCHOOL AMBASSADOR PROGRAM The MyGolf School Ambassador program aims to support and recognise teachers for their commitment in promoting and delivering MyGolf School programs within their local school community. 5 ipad Coaching Resource App Teachers now have the opportunity to access all MyGolf School resource manuals, game cards, instructional videos and coaching tips through our new interactive app. To have access teachers need be an accredited Community Golf Instructor or be a registered MyGolf School Ambassador. DOWNLOAD NOW AT THE APP STORE PERFECT FOR TEACHERS TO USE IN THE CLASSROOM OR REMOTELY! ONLINE TEACHER TRAINING Teachers can become accredited Community Golf Instructors by completing our teacher specific online course. The online training is fully interactive and provides teachers with the skills and knowledge to deliver the MyGolf Schools Program.
