If you have just joined our membership scheme, You have taken Hiand your first step towards better golf. Myself and the team look forward to helping you improve your game! If you are a regular user of our range you will probably have noticed the continued improvement and development of the facilities over the last five years. I am committed to ensuring that Bishopbriggs Golf Range continues to improve and offer our customers the best experience we can. In 2016 we continue to improve our offering with the introduction to our New 300 sq ftindoor Putting Studio, where we will be specialising in offering you both Technique Analysis and Putter Fittings. We all know that the game is won and lost on the greens! 2016 also sees the introduction of our exciting new membership scheme which will bring even greater value for money to all our regular customers We will also be making improvements to our range bays and our range outfield. WHAT IS TRACKMAN? Trackman provides factual information relating to both the golfers swing and ball flight. T How It Works? his information combined with the coaches professional expertise, allows the correct diagnosis every time. For this reason trackman is an essential tool for both coach and the golfer. The TrackMan radar unit tracks the trajectory of your golf ball from launch to landing. The ability to measure the full ball flight is essential to produce the highest quality data. The golf radar can pick up valuable information about your club head, giving a precise picture of the club during ball impact. With this knowledge, you can easily determine how your club face or swing path needs to be adjusted. The technology used is called doppler radar and has been widely used in military applications to track missiles and projectiles since the 1960s. It is also widely used in other sports such as cricket, tennis and baseball. 03

Do the right thing and then do the thing right. here s no point in training to be able to climb your T ladder faster than the other guy if your ladder is leaning against the wrong building! In golfing terms, Every day we see people at our golf range practicing their golf swings, and in so many cases what we see them practice is fundamentally ineffective, and it will never be effective! We see them practicing to get better at doing the wrong thing. Don t get me wrong, we know that they don t know what they don t know. They don t understand that they re doing it wrong and no matter how much they practice, their shots will never be effective or efficient. At best they ll have perfected their faults and will have the occasional purple patch when it all seems to come together only for it to disappear the next time they play. Sound familiar? We d like to help you understand what you don t know about your game/ swing, teach you so you do know and then coach you until you become efficient and effective in doing it consistently, and under game like scenarios. Water plays a part on some holes including the par 5 3rd hole. This is a great hole. It's a challenging drive with trouble both left and right but if you avoid the fairway bunker on the right, you can get a favourable kick forward allowing a view of the green surrounded by water. The 2 tier green will receive a shot nicely, but you better ensure you have enough club to carry the water! The 18th is a tough finishing hole, a long par 3 with a big change in elevation. Make sure you get the club selection right or you could end up in all sort of trouble! How to get to the course? From Bishopbriggs take the A803 signposted Kirkintilloch and continue for approx 15 mins on a straight road. When entering Kilsyth continue straight through 2 roundabouts, you will pass Coachman Hotel on left. Lookout for a sign on left for Kilsyth GC. Turn left off main road and travel up the hill, you will then turn up first road on the left. You will see the clubhouse and professional shop. Please make yourself to known to the starter in professionals shop who will look after any questions you may have should you be visiting for the first time. Anyone who has played the game knows that a quick fix that lasts is not available. It usually just leads to more searching without getting to the route cause of the problem. Understanding your swing and having a clear vision of what you are trying to do is key. Do you want consistency in your game? To get consistency, you need to be consistent in every sense of the word... How consistent are you? Are your thought processes and your actions consistent? What do you practice and why? How many people have you taken advice off? (This includes TV, Internet and magazines) All these factors are key influences on your consistency Measure, measure and measure again. There are no secrets. No magic wands. We will measure where you are with your swing using the latest Trackman and High speed video analysis. These measurements allow us to track progress, set targets and form practice/ coaching objectives. We are with you to embrace the challenge of lowering your scores. What is an assessment lesson? An assessment lesson is where both the coach and the pupil complete our swing assessment scorecard, they then go through our 30 shot performance assessment on Trackman. This time spent allows the coach time to fully assess and understand the golfers swing technique, strengths and weaknesses and thought process. The coach and pupil will then discuss findings and both set practice and coaching priorities based on the golfers current level of play versus their goals and performance objectives. Our ethos is 'improvement that lasts'. To achieve this, experience has told us we need a minimum of 6 sessions. We also need the commitment of the player. Without the chance of spending significant time coaching you or without your commitment, it would be a waste of both your/our time and your money. Why do we not do a one off lesson? For years many golfers had a lesson when they were struggling. The chances are they were still struggling after the lesson. Whilst the player might find something, it is not enough time to learn so therefore You will loose it as soon as you found it so it would be a waste of your money. You'd be far better getting a couple of baskets of balls and pray for Lady Luck!
