2 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament The 2 nd Annual Integrity Plumbing Invitational Charity Golf Tournament will take place Wednesday August 2nd, 2017 at Larters St. Andrews Golf and Country Club. Come join us for a day of fun out on the course where there will be contests and prizes to be awarded! The tournament welcomes all local businesses, community partners and Connect Employment Services supporters. All participants will receive a registration gift including a gift pack from Larters, a golf shirt with tournament logo, charity logo and presenting sponsor logo, and golf balls with tournament logo and presenting sponsor logo, full course dinner buffet meal after the match. Please be aware that the golf course has a dress code that will be in effect. Registration begins at 9am. About Connect Employment Services When Connect Employment Services was founded in 1992, the founding members had a dream that individuals with intellectual disabilities would one day be welcomed into the workforce and the community. Fast forward 25 years, and they have come a long way. People with intellectual disabilities have started to establish themselves as an untapped source of labour among the business community, and have begun to enjoy the benefits of being fully contributing citizens. They live and work in our communities, in a wide variety of positions and industries. One of the individuals Connect supports is Michael. Michael is a young man who came to Connect after graduating high school, looking for assistance to find employment. Michael is a hard-working, reliable, bright young man who also happens to have an intellectual disability. He was determined to find a job, not only so he could support himself, but also so he could help support his family his mother and younger siblings. A few months after joining Connect, we were able to help Michael find employment with a hotel. What began as a part-time entry level position in the banquets department, eventually transformed into an Assistant Banquets Captain role. Recently, Michael was able to use his experience and proven work history to transition to a full-time job with benefits with a national retail company an accomplishment that will bring him and his family greater economic stability and quality of life. Michael s accomplishments were the result of many factors his determination, work ethic and flexibility - his employer s vision and commitment and Connect s supports, services and guidance. We as a community will all benefit when individuals like Michael have the opportunity and support to achieve their potential, and you can help make that a reality through your participation in the Integrity Plumbing Invitational Charity Golf Tournament.

What Will Your Contribution Support? CONNECT is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. They rely almost exclusively on funding from government partners to fund programs. A donation from you can enable them to enhance the programs and services they offer to people with intellectual disabilities. In the past, charitable donations have enabled us to participate in research projects, purchase equipment and support special projects.
