1 Official Notices Friday, July 1, 2016 Current and Revised Ratings are attached 2016 Summer Racing Conditions Below you will find the full conditions for the 2016 summer racing programs at Saratoga, Suffolk Downs, and Belmont Park. Saratoga Handicap Races Weights in all Saratoga Handicap Races will be influenced by the current NSA ratings. A list of theoretical weights for the open Grade I Stakes and the Filly & Mare Stakes are attached. Please note that these weights are subject to change based on ratings adjustments and nominations to a specific race. The intent of these published theoretical weights is to give horsemen advanced notice of the range of weights and help maximize field size. Fences at Saratoga and Belmont Horsemen are reminded that the first fence on the front side at Saratoga will not be jumped in the stretch run, which allows for approximately three furlongs from the last fence on the backside to the wire. At Belmont, the first and second fences on the front side will not be jumped in the stretch run, which allows for approximately five furlongs from the last fence on the backside to the wire. Equine Advocates Awards Dinner & Charity Auction Please see the attached invitation to the 15 th Annual Awards Dinner & Charity Auction in Saratoga Springs on Friday, July 29 th, This year Equine Advocates is honoring Jonathan Sheppard. New Mid-Atlantic Virginia-Bred Owners Bonus Program to Start July 1st The Virginia Horsemen's Benevolent & Protective Association (VHBPA) and the Virginia Thoroughbred Association (VTA) will offer a new Owner's Bonus program that will reward owners of Virginia-bred horses that win an overnight (non-stakes) race at Mid-Atlantic region racetracks. The new bonus program, slated to begin July 1st, will add a 25% bonus to the purse earnings of any Virginia-bred that wins an unrestricted overnight race at a Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, New York or Pennsylvania track. There will be a $10,000 cap on any single reward. Fegentri World Cup of Nations Team Races Fegentri World Cup of Nations Team Races will be held on July 22, 23, 24, & 25 at Penn National, Pimlico, Parx and Delaware Park. Conditions for these turf races will be listed as the condition books come out.

SUFFOLK PURSE DISTRIBUTION/BONUS Purse distribution: 60% to first; 20% to second; 10% to third; 6% to fourth and 4% to fifth. All horses that start in the jump races, and do not earn a portion of the purse, will receive a $600 participation bonus. FEES In all steeplechase races at Suffolk Downs, owners, whose horses earn a portion of the purse, will be billed the standard NSA entry fee equivalent to 2% of the purse in each race. "Runners reward" applies in all hurdle races, with all fees waived, for any horse which runs and does not earn a portion of the purse. For the Sport of Kings Maiden Hurdle Races at Suffolk Downs, in addition to NSA fees, 5% of any purse money earned in this race will be deducted as a fee to the Sport of Kings Reserve Fund. ELIGIBILITY/LIMIT OF FIELD To be eligible for steeplechasing at Saratoga, a horse must have finished first, second or third in a sanctioned hurdle race. Fields will be limited to 10 in all Jump races at Saratoga. LICENSING All owners, trainers and riders must be licensed by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board. All trainers must show evidence of Workmen s Compensation Insurance valid in the State of New York. PURSES/FEES Purses in steeplechase races at the Saratoga Race Meet (July 22-September 1, 2016) will be distributed by the NSA as follows: 60% to first; 18% to second; 10% to third; 5% to fourth; 4% to fifth and 3% to sixth. Runners reward still applies with all NSA fees waived for any horse that runs and does not earn a portion of the purse. In all steeplechase races at Saratoga, owners, whose horses earn a portion of the purse, will be billed the standard NSA entry fee equivalent to 2% of the purse in each race. In addition to NSA fees, 5% of any purse money earned in the Jonathan Kiser Novice Stakes on Thursday, July 28 th the Michael G. Walsh Novice Stakes on Thursday, August 18 th will be deducted as a fee to the Sport of Kings Reserve Fund. "Runners reward" applies in all hurdle races, with all fees waived, for any horse which runs and does not earn a portion of the purse. In addition, all owners and trainers are required to pay an assessment to the New York Injured Jockey Compensation Fund. The charge is $250 per start for the first six starts, for a maximum of $1,500 per year. (If your trainer has stalls on NYRA grounds, the maximum fee will apply). In addition, New York State statutory fees of 1% for the backstretch pension fund plus 2% to NYTHA will be deducted from any purse earnings at Saratoga. There is a $25 Lasix fee for all horses that are administered Lasix. SUFFOLK DOWNS EAST BOSTON, MA SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 ENTRIES CLOSE 10:00 A.M.
