1 ISSUE: 3 April Dear RC friends all over Europe here is MK Eskil third NEWSLETTER! This is our third newsletter and our first major race The Open Nordic Championship 1/8 & 1/10 IC Track & Warm up for EC 1/8 Track is coming up before long, May 27-29, REGISTRATE NOW! If we would like to improve and have a living RC activity in Europe we have to get together and race all major EFRA races in the area. We have added, as support race, 1:10 Electric to the Nordic race however Observe this is not a Nordic Championship. The Nordic 1:10 electric championship will be raced in Denmark. However, before this race we will run a 1:5 Large Scale race at May 7 read read more. You are more than welcome! What has happened since the last Newsletter in March? First, it is 30 Days left to Race Day for WU and Open Nordic!! We are still far too few racers. Come on now all racers and make your registration! The race is an Open Nordic Championship (except the 1:10 Electric) and the winner, regardless of country, will be awarded unofficial Nordic Champion. The best Nordic/ NEZ driver will be the Nordic Champion. The fuel that can be bought at track side is not any longer Rapicon 16 % but Brilliant 16 % to a very low price of: 33 for 5 litre. The same fuel brand will be available at the EC. We need your indication about the volumes you need. What kind of tires will be announced by EFRA before end of April and we will have the tire make available for testing at the WU and open Nordic The Saturday night banquette is now booked and will be held at a hotel Best Western Plaza Hotel The red Room. 2 A track preparation machine has been developed and tested with sugar water. Before the track was cleaned with our new vacuum cleaner which sweeps dust and sand as well as pollen. Everything works perfect!! The asphalt track is open!!! THE SPRING IS HERE! The reward podium is ready for You!!! One of the new spectator stands. The high speed WI FI is now installed. Speed Mbit. 3 European Championship A 1/8 IC TR July Days left to race week: 73. The opening ceremony will be held at July 13, 13.00h In addition to what has been mentioned above for the Open Nordic Championship and Warm Up regarding preparation, fuel, hotels etc. following should be added; Control tires will follow the EFRA regulations. Supplier and tire make will be announced before the end of April. Transportation could be organized if needed. Back and forth between the airports and the hotels will be for free if more than 75 drivers enter the event. Transportation back and forth between the hotels and the track can also be arranged. However, this service has to be booked in advance. Make your booking at: tavlingssamordnare@mkeskil.se The banquette on Friday night will be held in a rebuilt factory, close to a multisport arena and an art museum and very close to our first choice of hotel. The rebuilt factory now serves as a museum for construction machines (old processing machines and old as well as new construction machines). You will have a guided tour before dinner. Entertainment will also happen during the dinner. All on our expense. The event will off course be covered by the EFRA Media Partner. The track is now open every week, Tuesday and Thursday between h and on Sundays h. If groups want to practice at other times it could normally be arranged. Due to the track, Gröndal Ring, is situated at a large Motorsport Centre some other motorsport activities will be arranged during the race week. On Tuesday night, July 12, the local speedway team, Smederna, have a match in the Swedish Elite liege. Free tickets to the match for all drivers will be handed out.

4 We will have a day (Wednesday July 13) with activities on the full scale track. There will be possibilities for those who would like to take a break in the RC practise to test Go-cart racing. The Go-cart racing will be at Gröndal MSK full scale race track and free of charge. We are still investigating with Gröndal MSK possibilities to run some kind of full scale racing as well. You are most welcome!! 1:8 IC OFF ROAD The preparation for the upcoming Warm Up in front of the coming EC 2017 and 1:8 Off Road GP August 12-14, 2016 at the MK Eskil Facility Gröndal Ring off road track is going on. The track will be ready and opened soon. The same practice times as for the asphalt track. Read more about the races in coming Newsletters.

5 Hotels, camping, cabins, hostels and Bed and Breakfast Our first choice: Clarion Collection Hotel, Bolinder Munktell (State MKEskil2016 when booking). Agreements is made regarding prices with a number of hotels in Eskilstuna, (please see our homepage). We have appointed one hotel as our first choice: Clarion Collection Hotel, Bolinder Munktell (State MKEskil2016 when booking). The code is valid for all races. Please note that all prices includes VAT. For a price of 90 you get a very nice double room downtown and included in the price is breakfast, afternoon coffee (maybe mainly for family members when you will be at the track) and an evening buffet. EVERY DAY/EVENING. We consider the price as unbeatable. However since May is a month with a lot of activities, events and conferences in Eskilstuna, we recommend you to book your accommodation as soon as possible. We have only managed to prebook 25 rooms for the Nordic Championship and 50 rooms for the EC.
