9 REGULATORY DIALOGUE BRAZIL AND ARGENTINA With the subscription of the COMMON AUTOMOTIVE POLICY, the commitment to harmonize the technical regulations between both countries is set. Goal To facilitate and promote the sustained development of bilateral trade in the sector and avoid possible unwanted restrictions in such trade. April Within the framework of the Automotive Committee, negotiations and conversations began to move forward in the realization of a harmonization or convergence. ADEFA and ANFAVEA made a proposal of UNDERSTANDING MEMORANDUM establishing two main issues: 1. Mutual recognition of approvals 2. Classification of technical regulations in three groups: Group 1: Assimilable regulations, Group 2: Regulations that present bridgeable differences, and Group 3: Regulations that are not comparable and should be the subject of a future harmonization plan.
