1 Dear Parents, Thank you very much for registering your child to play Leo Jr. Soccer this fall! K/1 Info Games/practices for K/1 begin on August 12th - as a reminder, the first 30min is practice (starting at 9a), the second 30min is the game (starting at 9:30a). K/1 practices & games will be held on Saturdays 8/12, 8/19, 8/26, 9/16, 9/23, and 9/30. 2/3 Info Practices for 2/3 teams will begin the week of August 7th - please see the team rosters for specific days and times. 2/3 games will be held from 10:15-11:15a on Saturdays 8/12, 8/19, 8/26, 9/16, 9/23, and 9/30. 4/5/6 Info Practices for 4/5/6 teams will begin the week of August 7th - please see the team rosters for specific times. 4/5/6 games will be held from 11:30a-12:30p on Saturdays 8/12, 8/19, 8/26, 9/16, 9/23, and 9/30. The Leo Jr. Soccer League is a non-profit organization that depends on parent volunteers to help with coaching, lining the fields, and working in the concession stand. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these things, please let me know! Otherwise I will be contacting you all throughout the season to fill the schedule. Please note, when fields are closed, a red flag will be posted on the information board at the edge of the parking lot. In addition, the board members will always contact coaches when there are practice or game cancellations, and if time allows, an will be sent to all players. We look forward to seeing you all soon! 2 PARENT INFORMATION FOR 4/5/6 TEAMS The season will last 6 weeks. The games will be played at the Hosler Road fields. All games will be held on Saturday mornings 11:30a-12:30p. If a red flag is flying on the information board at the fields, games are cancelled. Call your coach if you have questions. Games will be played even if it is raining. We will not play if it is lightning. No baseball cleats or jewelry allowed during play or practice. Shin guards must be worn at all times. Always send a soccer ball and water bottle with your child even if it is cool, they will dehydrate quickly. Picture day is August 19th. Once scheduled, even if you chose not to purchase the pictures, please have your child there for team photos 15 minutes before scheduled time. REFEREE CHECKS BEFORE GAME Shin guards are required No toe cleat shoes No jewelry #5 game ball PLAYERS ON THE 6 vs 6, plus goalies TIME OF PLAY 2 Halves- 25 minutes per half 5 minute half time TEAM COACH Coaches permitted on the sidelines only SUBSTITUTIONS Open substitution at stoppage of play upon referee s signal. Please make sure you re playing all of your team members roughly equal amounts of time. OFFSIDES No offsides will be called SCORE If a team is ahead by 4 goals, the opposing team may add a player to the field.
