Check out California WIT info at Find May President s notes As opposed to our last campout, the sun was out, no rain, some wind, but a very enjoyable weekend. Our Trail Bosses did an exceptional job of getting us fed, both breakfast and dinner, and a unique "get away breakfast" with beans,tri-tip, strawberries, and do-nuts of every kind. I think we'll keep these folks for another time. The park is nicely laid out, very nice club house, picnic area, and easy to access sites. The only negative was their stand to not issue a refund a deposit to a member that gave the required 48 hr notice. Don't think they'll be back. A plus to the area, there's plenty of wine tasting, shopping in major chain stores, and an interesting downtown area. Coming up are Gilroy Garlic, June 9-12, then Lodi, Flag City, July Till next time, Your Pres. Secretary s Report Lone Cypress Winnitascan Business Meeting Minutes May 14, 2016 Officers present: President: Phil Fortier, Treasurer: Dee Alcorn, Secretary: Dick Wood. Total membership present: 29 OPENING FORMALITIES - The meeting was called to order by President Phil Fortier at 10:05 a.m. Phil led the pledge of allegiance. Approval of Minutes Minutes of the March 12, 2016 meeting had been sent to members via the LCW newsletter and were approved as sent. Treasurer s report: Dee Alcorn presented the financial report dated March 10 May 11, A printed copy of the report is included in the newsletter. President s Report: Phil acknowledged and thanked the Wagon Masters for the weekend, Jim & Hope, Joe and Maria, Ken and Jo Anne. Correspondence: None Birthdays and anniversaries: Phil read the names and dates of all members with birthdays and anniversaries May. Old Business: At the most recent State rally in Lodi, six rigs were there representing LCW. Phil reported that the meeting was productive, the weather was not so good, but LCW members Joanie and Earl, and Phil and Dee took first place in the lawn game tournaments that were held. A $20 gift certificate was won and will be donated back to the State for the next event. The Membership was given an update on the health of Al and Alice. We all miss them. We also got an update on Bill and Helen. On August 5 th, the chapter will partici- Page 1

2 Vol. 44 No. 1 March 2016 pate in the barbecue at the Salinas Elks. If you are planning to camp there, make your reservations by calling the Elks. Let Jerry Brick know if are planning to go to the dinner. He will collect the money and make one payment to the Elk s. New Business: Our chapter s next outing will be June 9-12 at Gilroy Garlic. The Wagon Masters are Campbell2, Leavitt and Loeser.
