11 DATE AND PLACE OF COMPETITION The Competition at the XXII Central American and Caribbean Game Barranquilla 2018 will take place Monday July 30 to Thursday August 2, 2018 at the Country Club. COMPETITION VENUE The competition will take place at the Country Club of Barranquilla (SABANILLA SITE) located in o Puerto Colombia. EVENTS AND MEDALS The events announced for the competition of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games are: MEDALS GENDER EVENT GOLD SILVER BRONZE MEN S Individual WOMEN S Individual TOTAL MEDALS MEDAL CEREMONY Medal ceremonies will take place according to CACSO Regulations, Chapter XIII. First place: Second place: Third place: Gold medal and diploma Silver medal and diploma Bronze medal and diploma

12 MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COMPETITORS According to the quota established by CACSO, the competition will have a maximum of forty (40) athletes, twenty (20) women and twenty (20) men, distributed as follows: Each NOC may enter a maximum of two (2) athletes, one per gender, as long as they comply with the qualification criteria for the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla COMPETITION FORMAT 12 This competition format is based on the International Federation s Regulations. The singles stroke play format will be used, playing 72 holes total, 18 holes per day. The player who has the lowest number of accumulated strokes at the end of the 72 holes will be the winner. In the event of a tie for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, between two or more players in the competition, the procedure to follow will be a Hole by Hole play. This game will start immediately after concluding the round and the holes will be designated by the Competition Director. AGE OF COMPETITORS The minimum age of participants will be 12 years old. ENTRY PROCESS All countries through the corresponding NOC, must send their Sport Entry requests in the official forms that the Organizing Committee will send at the latest at 24:00 hours (Colombian time) on February 20, They must indicate in the form the sports in which they will participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla (The forms that will be published in the official WEB site Barranquilla 2018 ). If recognized by the Pan American Confederation of said sport and by CACSO, Associate Members may also be allowed to participate. ENTRY BY NUMBER The Entry by Number forms (indicating the number of participants in each individual event and per team) shall be sent to the Organizing Committee of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 at the latest before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia s time) of April 20, 2018 according to CACSO s Regulation, Chapter VIII.

13 ENTRY BY NAME For each eligible athlete to participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 it is necessary to fill out an entry by name form that should be contemplated by NOCs and will be received by the Organizing Committee before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia s time) of Wednesday June 20, 2018 according CACSO s Regulations, Chapter VIII. Each NOC shall send the entry by number and entry by name forms in the official forms provided by the Organizing Committee, to be delivered six months before the Games. If you have any doubt or for clarification purposes, the Organizing Committee has this address at your disposal: inscripciones@baq2018.com MINIMUM PARTICIPATION For an event to be considered official at least five (5) representations must participate from the same number of National Olympic Committees. In the event one or more representations, after the Technical Meeting takes place, may not participate due to force majeure (verified by CACSO) the event will be carried out with a minimum of four (4) representations of the same number of National Olympic Committees. GENERAL RULES 13 The competitions of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 will be carried out according to CACSO s Statute and the corresponding International Federation Regulation in force during the Games. The cases not foreseen in the above-mentioned regulations will be solved as follows: a. General nature cases will be solved according to CACSO s Statute and according to the Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation. b. Technical nature cases will be solved according to the procedures of the Pan American Confederation or a Continental Organization. UNIFORMS AND SPORTS EQUIPMENT The national Olympic committees have the responsibility of determining the clothing and uniforms, as well as accessories and sport equipment to be used by the members of its delegation during the Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla Nevertheless, this authority doesn t include the specialized equipment to be used by athletes during competitions. Clothing and shoes used by athletes during the competition must be con-

14 sistent with the style and fashion currently recognized as valid to play golf. Policy related to athlete s appearance may be found in the International Federation Regulations. Sport s equipment must comply with the Rules published by R&A/ USGA. The Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation and the corresponding International Federation regulations must be followed as well as Rule 51 of the IOC, as per the rules established for NOCs in the Guidelines for the Use of Manufacturers Trademarks. TRAINING FACILITIES Access will be allowed only to accredited team members. There is no public access allowed. Equipment shall follow the requirements of the corresponding International Federation. PARTICIPATION 14 Only NOCs recognized by CACSO, whose National Federations members of the International Federation (IGF) may enter athletes in the competition of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla The associated members recognized by CACSO may also participate if they are recognized by the sport. 16 TECHNICAL MEETING The Technical Meeting will take place on July at the (VENUE) at 09:00 a.m. Up to two representatives from each NOC will be able to attend this Technical Meeting. The invitation card for the Technical Meeting will be available to the Heads of Team at the Sports Information Center at the Central American and Caribbean Village upon their arrival. The Technical Delegate and the Organizing Committee s Competition Manager will preside the meeting, which will be in Spanish with translation into English. The Evacuation Protocol meeting will take place at the end of the technical meeting. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS 16 The Colombian Federation will provide a member of the National Rules Committee that has a score of 85 or more in the yearly regulations exam at the disposal of the Organizing Committee and the International Federation will designate three (3) rules officials for the correct development of the competition. PROTESTS AND APPEALS The decision made by the field rules referee is final and is not appealable. IMAGE AND ADVERTISING The advertising in the course must respect the golf course as well as its integrity without interfering with the competition. DOPING CONTROL Doping control will be done according to CACSO s Medical Commission requirements, according to the corresponding International Federation Regulation and will follow the 2018 version of standards of the World Anti Doping Agency procedures (WADA).
