2 Welcome It is with great pleasure and honour that the CERS/CEC, Federação Portuguesa de Patinagem and Roller Lagos Clube de Patinagem invite you to the: 2017 European Championships Inline Speed Skating July 1st until July 8th, 2017 Lagos / Portugal In conformity with Part 2 Chapter 3 (European Championship) of the actual CERS/CEC Sports Rules 2016, Art about the organisation of the European Championships, we have the pleasure in informing you about the organisation of these championships. Participation is open to all CERS affiliated National Federations in Europe. We are looking forward to seeing you in Lagos, Portugal. CERS / CEC Sport Rules The CEC Official Regulations (Sports Rules) edition with the latest amendments and CERS Rules will be valid for these Championships Participation Conditions participation is allowed only to countries affiliated to CERS and updated with their CERS fees. SENIOR European Championship A total of eight male and eight female skaters may be registered in the Champi onship for each attending country. No more than three (3) male and three (3) female skaters can participate in each distance/calendar events. JUNIOR A European Championship A total of eight male and eight female skaters may be registered in the Champi onship for each attending country. No more than three (3) male and three (3) female skaters can participate in each distance/calendar events. JUNIOR B European Championship A total of eight male and eight female skaters may be registered in the Champi onship for each attending country. No more than three (3) male and three (3) female skaters can participate in each distance/calendar events. 9

10 Skaters allowed to participate at the European Championships must have the following age: SENIOR Category 20 years old (born in whole year) and older JUNIOR A Category 18 years old (born in whole year) 19 years old (born in whole year) JUNIOR B Category 16 years old (born in whole year) 17 years old (born in whole year) CADETS Higher start for the oldest Cadets in the Junior B Category 15 years old (born in whole year) 1.6. Checks Anti-Doping Control Anti-doping controls will be carried out according to CERS/FIRS Medical Regulations and WADA Rules. Check of Female Sex No female sex certificate is required. Nevertheless, in conformity with IOC guidelines, CERS/CEC is entitled to conduct tests on specific occasions. This would mean laboratory tests could be done if there is a suspicion. 10

11 1.7. Examination Session for Judges An examination session for International judge level will be during the Championship. Countries are kindly requested to send the list of their candidates : within and not later than: JUN 16, Please send the list to: secretary@cers-cec.eu 1.8. Visa Requirements For assistance to obtain a Portuguese entry visa or require a specific letter of invitation, please contact the CEC as soon as possible. 11

12 2. Operational Part 2.1. Preparation of the Championships Financial Conditions and Fees payment Each participating country will pay the following entry fees: NO fee for each country participating at the Senior/ Junior A/Junior B Championship EUR 60,00 - for each senior, junior A, junior B and cadet skater entered for the Track Championship EUR 60,00 - for each senior, junior A, junior B and cadet skater entered for the Road Championship EUR 10,00 - for each additional skater in the marathon (maximum 2 per country and category) Fees must be paid (without additional bank expenses for CEC) until JUN 22, 2017 The fees will be summed up in an invoice which will be sent to the federations after the ar rival of the registration form by country (see 2.1.2). Each participating team will pay its own traveling, board and lodging expenses Registration Seniors/Juniors A+B: Entry Form and Closing Date All participating countries are kindly requested to send their final entries: Official CEC Form: Registration Form per Country (document: Euro-Champs-2017_Lagos_Reg-Form_per-country.xls); within and not later than: JUN 16, Please send the registration form to: secretary@cers-cec.eu Accreditation Date: June 29, 2017 at the track (during training sessions). Photos/details of the delegates, skaters and staff have to be sent to the organizer - Roller Lagos C. P. lagos2017europeanchampionship@gmail.com. 12

13 Check (Passports and Entry Fees) Scheduled on June 29, 2017 between at the track in Lagos. Delegates of all attending countries are kindly requested to be present in order to confirm their entry and nationality of the skaters: Presentation of the passports of all attending athletes Registration forms per race and category have to be handed in filled out with the attending skaters of all races of Track Championship. (document: XXX_soon_XXX) No payments in cash accepted at registration (see 2.1) Delegates must submit a corresponding proof/photocopy of the payment (e-banking) Transponders We will use transponders which will be handed out together with the start numbers at the registration or at the venue to the delegates. A deposit of EUR 200,00 will be charged for the transponders Accommodation and Meals Hotels and Aparthotels Organisation has negotiated special rates for European Teams, during race days and weeks before. Apart of the listed below Hotels, if Teams would be interestedly in different places, please send your request to Carlos Batista: lagos2017europeanchampionship@gmail.com Organisation will provide transfers between Partner Hotels and race circuits, during Championships Days. Media Accreditation All media accreditation and requests should be addressed as soon as possible to the organiser: 2.3. Competition Liability / Responsibility The Comité Européen de Course and the organiser are not responsible for any accident that may occur during travel, before, during or after the event /championships. Federação de Patinagem de portugal and organisation Roller Lagos Clube de patinagem assume no responsibility or liability with respect to bodily or personal injury or property damage incurred in connection with the CERS/CEC European Championships Inline Speed Skating. Each Member is solely responsible for providing insurance coverage there to.
