14 Field Event Athletes in Multiple Events In all field events under all rule books, athletes competing in other events may take attempts out of order in preliminary rounds In NCAA, athletes must be present when they are called up in the finals. In USATF and IAAF athletes can go out of order one round at a time. If an athlete does not begin an attempt within the time limit, it is recorded as a pass. 12/23/2014 USATFCOLORADO 14

21 General Tips Allow practice throws within sectors only Control access to implements (impound) Check implements for damage (and for Weights & Measure mark of the day ) Never turn your back on the throwing site Walk all implements back, no tossing No athletes in the sector Officials don t step in ring 12/23/2014 USATFCOLORADO 21
