2 MEET ENTRIES For all Ole Miss collegiate home meets Direct Athletics will be used as the sole meet management entry process. Go to to create a team account or an individual account. All Ole Miss collegiate meets are for collegiate or post- collegiate athletes only. No high school aged students may participate. Please ensure that you are entering the correct meet! ENTRY DEADLINE For all Ole Miss collegiate home meets the entry deadline is noon (CST) Wednesday, March 19th. Do not Ole Miss staff with entries, as it is not their role to do entries for your team. Also, do not request for your athlete to be moved to another section or flight or to add anyone on the day of the meet. We will post entries accepted into our meet at 2:00 pm on Friday prior to the meet; those entries can be found at and ENTRY FEES The team entry fee is $200 per gender or $25 per athlete per individual event. Checks should be made payable to Ole Miss Track. Only post- collegiate or professional athletes are required to pay in advance with a credit card. All teams should plan to pay at packet pick- up. Receipts will be available at packet pick- up. FACILITY The Ole Miss Track & Field Complex is located on the Ole Miss campus in Oxford, MS. The track has nine 48" lanes. The track surface, long jump, high jump, pole vault and javelin runways are Mondo Super X. The throwing circles are brushed concrete. We have 2 shot put areas, 2 discus areas, 2 hammer areas, and a large D area. There are 8 possible Pole Vault areas to take advantage of the wind. Long Jump and Triple Jump runways go both directions. SCORING/TIMING/RULES We will score the meet as Division I and non- Division I teams. Timing will be via Lynx System, and all NCAA rules apply. 2

3 RESTRICTIONS The use of ¼ pyramid spikes will be strictly enforced; spikes will be checked at the clerking area as well as field events. Teams may purchase spikes onsite. No marking chalk will be allowed on the track. NO CELL PHONES OR HEAD PHONES ALLOWED IN THE WARM UP OR COMPETITION AREA. MINIMUM MARKS First, fair throw or jump will be marked. Subsequent attempts must meet minimum marks for measurement; see chart below for starting heights and minimum marks: Men Women Pole vault High jump Long jump Shot Discus Hammer Javelin PACKET PICK- UP Packet pick- up will be available at the track facility beginning at 8:00am on the day of the meet. CREDENTIALS All coaches, managers, and athletes will need to wear a wristband which designates they are paid. Wristbands will be in the meet packet. Admission is free for all spectators. ADMISSION 3

4 DIRECTIONS Memphis to Oxford (via I- 55): Follow I- 55 south for 55 miles until you reach Batesville, MS (exit 243). Take Highway 6 east for 26 miles to Oxford. Memphis to Oxford (via Hwy 78): Follow US- 78 east for 52 miles until you reach Holly Springs, MS. Take Highway 7 south for 31 miles to Oxford. Once in Oxford, take the fourth exit onto Highway 6 and proceed west. Tupelo to Oxford: Follow Highway 78 for 16 miles until you reach Sherman, MS (exit 76). Take Highway 9 south for 13 miles, and then turn right on Highway 6 west and travel 22 miles to Oxford. Jackson to Oxford: Follow I- 55 north for 150 miles until you reach Batesville, MS (exit 243). Take Highway 6 east for 26 miles to Oxford. Directions to Track & Field Complex From Hwy 7: Exit onto Highway 6 and travel west. From Hwy 6: Take Coliseum Drive Exit and travel north on Coliseum Drive until you reach a four- way stop. Turn right onto Hill Drive and travel less than a ½ mile to see the complex located on the right. PARKING Teams may drop off athletes and equipment along Hill Drive in front of the Track Office parking lot; parking for buses will be in the parking lot across the street from the Track Office. Team cars and vans may park in the Track Parking lot as long as space is available. Overflow parking is located across the street from the track and field complex. ATHLETE CHECK Running Events- Athletes check in with the clerk at least 1 hour prior to the start of the event. Athletes must be in the clerking area 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. At this time, athletes will be held here until they are marshaled onto the track. Field Events- Athletes check in at the event site 60 minutes prior to event start time. 4

5 HEAT SHEETS/RESULTS Heat sheets will be in each team s packet. Results will be posted after each event is final. Ole Miss Media Relations will provide a packet with results for each team. Results may also be obtained via TIMING/MEET MANAGEMENT Cleon Fowler (timing@cfpitiming.com) from CFPI Timing is the official timer for Ole Miss Track & Field. IMPLEMENT WEIGH- INS Weigh- ins will be conducted up to 90 minutes prior to the start of the event. All implements will be impounded at the time of weigh- in. Certified implements will then be transported to the event site 45 minutes before the start of the event. Only certified implements may be used during official warm- ups and competition. All implements may be picked up at the event site after the conclusion of the event final. ATHLETIC TRAINERS Trainers with questions or concerns need to contact Corbit Franks at rcfranks@olemiss.edu. FOOD POLICY Ole Miss Track has a NO outside food policy inside the track facility unless purchased from the concession stand. Each school is allowed one cooler.
