2 PACKET PICK-UP: Entry fees will be able to be paid and packets can be picked up from 10am-Noon and 3-5pm on Friday, March 23 rd. There are no other times available for packet pick up. If a representative from your team is unable to be at the times listed above to make payment and receive your teams packet, please contact Kris Alexander at asutfxc@gmail.com or call prior to Friday, March 23 rd to make arrangements. Packets will contain a set of heat sheets (updated following scratches), final competition schedule, opening heights & progressions and wrist bands for all coaches/competitors/staff. Packets can be picked-up at the south end of the stadium (closest to tennis center) near the start/finish line. CREDENTIALS: Wrist bands will be issued to competing athletes, managers, coaches, media and trainers for entry into the meet. All coaches, staff and athletes are asked to enter Sun Angel Stadium through the South entrance, located at the southwest corner of the stadium (closest to the tennis facility). Athletes, coaches and staff are asked to wear their wristbands at all times to gain entrance in and out of the facility. Access to back stretch coaching area will be restricted to 3 staff members per institution. Coaches may enter the infield area via the north end of the stadium (near baseball) for the hammer and discus competitions and the pole vault competitions ONLY. Coaches may enter the infield area via the south end of the stadium (near tennis) for the high jump, javelin and shot put competitions ONLY. To access the backstretch can be obtained by the south entrance as well. We ask that you do not stay there the entire meet, but to leave once your athlete(s) is competed in the event at the time. TRACK SHOES: Flats or track shoes with spikes NO LONGER THAN 1/4 INCH are acceptable at Sun Angel Stadium Permitted spikes include: MF ATHLETICS #4630 ¼ PYRAMID SPIKE ONLY Banned spikes include: ANY THING OTHER THAN SPIKE ABOVE, INCLUDING SPIKE SHOES THAT HAVE PERMENENT SPIKES. Spikes will be checked prior to entry of facility and competitions (at team entry to facility and athlete check-in and at field event locations) and any athlete not in compliance with the spike policy may be subject to disqualification from the meet. This spike policy is for all events at the meet. The appropriate spikes will be available if needed at the team entry point for $2.00 for 12 or $12 per bag of 100.

3 DAY OF COMPETITION LOGISTICS WARM-UP AREAS: Throwers will be allowed the normal 15 minute warm-up period prior to the start of their event, as well as warm-ups off the track during competition. Runners may warm-up and shake-out on the track up to 15 minutes prior to the start of the first race, then outside of the track competition are (grass areas, parking lot, under the grand stands) once the track has been cleared. There will be a warm-up area under the grand stands. NOTE: access to the track will be limited/restricted during all hammer competitions which will be strictly enforced for safety reasons. EVENT CHECK-IN/CLERKING: The check in table is located under the grand stands next to implement weigh-in. The check-in table will open 60 minutes prior to the start of racing. Athletes are asked to check in no later than 30 mins prior to the scheduled time of their event. Athletes must be inside the staging area (North of the 100m start line) no later than 10 minutes before their race to receive lane assignments and last-minute instructions. Once an athlete has checked in, he/she is asked to remain in the clerking area and will be escorted to the track for his/her race. Field event athletes will check-in for their respective events with the event official at the location of the event. CHEST/HIP NUMBERS: Chest numbers are to be worn on the left chest and hip numbers are to be worn on the athletes left hip. COACHING BOXES/FIELD ACCESS: Designated coaching boxes will be set up for each field event. See attached map for coaching box locations. Please instruct athletes, trainers, managers, etc. to stay behind the fence that circles the track when on in competition or attending to an injured athletes. ELECTRONIC DEVICES: Electronic devices (i.e. cell phones, ipods, headsets, etc.) are not allowed within the stadium fences except in the medical area, stands and spectator bleachers on the north and southeast portions of the track. The Pac-12 regulations state: the uses of personal stereo devices (listed previously) are prohibited in the official warm-up and competitive areas (designated by the host institution) for both regular season and the conference championship. The meet referee will issue a warning to anyone using such a device. A second violation of the rule at the same meet would result in disqualification from that meet. RELAY CARDS: In order to provide accurate relay names to the announcer and for reporting purposes to the TFFRS system please turn in the relay card at check-in tables no more than 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. Relay cards will be placed inside each team packet. BAR PROGRESSIONS: The high jump and pole vault bar progressions will be decided the week of the meet and will be confirmed by head coaches. IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN: Implement weigh-in will differ based on the meet schedule. Please see the below weigh in times. If you or

The implement weigh-in is located under the grand stand (adjacent to the clerk of the course and warm-up area). Cones will be provided and may be used on the runways. ATHLETIC TRAINING: The Athletic Training Staff at Arizona State University would like to welcome you to Sun Angel Stadium. It is our hope that your stay in Tempe, AZ will be safe and enjoyable. This letter is provided to help ease your travel experience. At the Sun Angel Stadium, there will be a sports medicine area staffed and equipped for your medical needs. The medical area will be located at the south side of the spectator stands. This area will host ice, basic modalities, treatment tables, as well as emergency and first aid supplies. Water coolers will also be available in the medical area, warm-up, starting line, finish line, throws and jumps areas. Members of our athletic training staff will be at the track at least an hour prior to start of the meet on Friday and Saturday. A physician will be on-call during Friday competition, and on-site during Saturday competition. Internet access is limited to non-existent at the facility... it is not guaranteed that access will be attainable during meets, so please plan accordingly. Photographers that are credentialed for meets will need to meet with Mitch at the media tent prior to the start of the meet for instructions on shooting locations. Wrist bands may be issued for infield access and will be determined on a meet-by-meet basis. Members of the media in attendance may also stop by the media tent at the end of the meet for a printed set of results or an electronic version if desired. Interviews will be conducted throughout the meet... please meet with Mitch to go plan accordingly. Complete results from each meet will be posted on the official web site of Sun Devil athletics: at the conclusion of each meet. DEADLINES: those members of the media and sports information offices that will be covering the meet should know that the meets at ASU run throughout the day, but tend to end late in the evening, pushing close or exceeding normal reporting deadlines.
