1 August 2018 Message from the President President s report: Super Clinics The final clinic is 22nd September with Nicole Tough, Jacqui Huppert and Jeanette Bourke. Hopefully this will be partially funded by EQ. GROUNDS - Leanne Smith is the keeper of the sign AND changes over locks. Always check club FB for updates. If in doubt ring/text please do not ring Kay. A reminder to our members only financial members can ride on the grounds. Please do not allow your friends or other persons to ride your horse while on the grounds. Christmas function/agm/trophy night Again the club has booked the Albert Valley Winery for Saturday 17th November. Further details shortly but get ready for another great night. Trophy points It s that time of year again. Points need to go to Lorraine Edwards as per the criteria in the blue membership booklet. More details in the newsletter. G Seminar PRARG is hosting a G Seminar on behalf of the DQOSC with Jacki Reed conducting it on Saturday 29th September. Whether you are a prospective judge, current G or F, a rider, coach or just interested in learning about what goes on behind the wheel this is a great chance and it s FREE! Booking form will be out soon. CDI Congratulations to the combination of Kristen McAuslan & Anika Green on winning the Novice Challenge for PRARG. Olson & Teviot Roads, North Maclean Thank you to Equestrian Queensland who have partially funded this clinic through the Equestrian Queensland Sports Development Funding Program for Enquiries: Melissa Forrest or General: All bookings taken via Vouchers (maximum 2) can be used towards lesson payment. Money will not be refunded without vet or medical certificate received within 7 days of the clinic. All lessons 45 minutes duration. Lessons are on a strictly first come first served basis. Organisers will endeavour to accommodate preferred lessons times where possible. Nicole Tough is an accredited Level 2 Dressage Specialist Coach, Level A Grand Prix National Judge and Judge Educator, and is sponsored by Weight Lifter Feeds and Riders XOXO. Nicole is a long time QLD State and National Squad member, with 7 Australian titles, over 25 State Championship titles to her credit, and has held 33 spots on State and National Squads since She has been awarded Equestrian QLD Coach of the Year, Sports Star of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. She has trained 9 horses to FEI level, and many students from Preliminary to Grand Prix level, including many young riders onto the National Young Rider Squad, Open Squads and a few to International representation. Nicole enjoys every aspect of coaching and helping riders develop and achieve their goals. Grant subsidised fee: EA and EA + Club Members: $90 PRARG members/non-ea $95 Jeanette Bourke is an Level 1 NCAS Dressage Coach and has been competing officially at Dressage for nearly 30 years part thereof in Sydney. Jeanette s trained 3 horses Richmond, Argyle and Jaybee Althea to FEI level and was on the QLD Dressage Performance Squad for 2010 and Jeanette is currently competing on JCB Admire at medium/advanced. Jeanette specialises in coaching nervous beginner to advanced riders. Grant subsidised fee: EA and EA + Club Members: $50 PRARG members/non-ea $55 Jacqui Huppert is a Grand Prix Rider, NCAS Level I Coach, and A level GP dressage judge. She has been a member of the EQ State Dressage Squad for the past 6 years on QEB Jinglebell Swing, and a previous member of the State Squad on QEB King of Swing and QEB Bolero. Jacqui concentrates on the rider s position and effectiveness of the aids to maximise the potential of the horse/ rider combination. PRARG Christmas Party Save the date the PRARG Christmas festivities are planned for Saturday, 17 November 2018 at the Albert Valley Winery. As per previous years we will combine the Christmas party with our trophy presentations evening as well as the Annual General Meeting. Bookings for the night will be done via Nominate closer to the date. Costs are $30 for members and $40 for non-members. This includes a lovely two course alternate drop meal. Raffle ticket packages will also be available. Keep the date in your calendars it s going to be a great night! TROPHY POINTS REQUIRED NOW!!! The criteria for open official/participation/freestyles are outlined in the blue membership booklet. Internal points for fun and ribbon days are collated by the dressage sub-committee.
