1 Head Coach Mike Brown Mike Brown Head Coach Second Year Drake University 96 Upper Iowa University named Mike Brown as the Head Coach Women s Basketball Coach after the season ended. Brown served as the Interim Head Coach for the campaign. The Polk City, Iowa native moved up from his assistant coach position to lead the Peacock program into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, or NSIC, in The team posted a 5-22 record in Brown s first season that was plagued by injury to key members of the team. From , Brown served as the assistant women s basketball coach under Ben Conrad. His responsibilities included recruiting, on-the-floor coach ing of the guards, film exchange, and academic monitoring. Prior to coming to Upper Iowa, Brown served as the head women s basketball coach at Iowa Central Community College from , compiling a record over that time. The Iowa Central team won the Region XI Tournament Championship, played in the National Tournament, and finished the season ranked eighth in the country. Brown has coached four All-Americans, dozens of all-conference performers and numerous academic all-region players. Before taking over the helm, Brown served as the assistant coach at Iowa Central from Brown earned his Bachelors Degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Drake University in 1996.
2 Assistants/Managers Stephanie Reiter Assistant Coach First Year University of Minnesota Duluth 09 Stephanie Reiter joined the UIU women s basketball coaching staff in September Originally from Coon Rapids, Minnesota, she graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art. Her major was graphic design and arts in media minor. While in Duluth, Stephanie was part of the basketball team from She was named to the NCC Commissioner s List twice and to the Northern Sun All-Academic Team once. Stephanie was also a co-captain of the team as a senior. Alan Seabrooke Graduate Assistant Coach First Year Upper Iowa University 07 Alan Seabrooke is entering his first full season as a graduate assistant basketball coach at Upper Iowa University. The Valley Community High School alum graduated from Upper Iowa in December 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education. Seabrooke played basketball for one year and baseball for two years at Upper Iowa before starting his coaching career. Alan s coaching experiences include junior high boy s basketball and track, as sistant varsity boy s basketball, assistant varsity track, and head baseball coach at Valley Community in Elgin, Iowa.
