3 MEETING NOTES 1 Opening Meeting Approval of January 8, 2018 Agenda o Motion by Amy, seconded by Aaron. Motion carried unanimously. Approval of December 11, 2017 Meeting Minutes o Motion by Matt, seconded by Jen. Motion carried unanimously. 2 Coaches Updates Sean Pollock o Approval of Sean s update = Motion by Jen, seconded by Aaron. Motion carried unanimously. Tara Schneider. 3 Committee Updates Home Tournament Director Boys (Vega/Block) o Registration is available and s were sent out. Matt to send over to Amy the PL tourney that has a lot of s to solicit more teams. o Fields are all scheduled. Home Tournament Director Girls (Russell) o Look into moving the playoff games at Vaughan. Away Tournament Coordinator (Mulcahy) o SotaLax tourney is an option again for U14 and U12. It is the weekend before Shakopee s so tourneys would be back to back weekends. Look for other options first. Sponsorship Coordinator o Agreement to only do sponsors for tourney versus trying to also get sponsors for the league year too. o Give sponsors to sponsors boys, girls, or both. o Brian M to look into costs to put sponsor name on a tent. o Look into asking Hy-Vee to sponsor. Fundraising Coordinator (Monica) o Brian M to look into costs to sponsor a tent. Team Manager Coordinator -- Boys (Block) o This is in progress. No further update. Team Manager Coordinator -- Girls (Bestge) Team Pictures Recruiting/Development Committee (Mulcahy/Block) o Social media presence need to be improved. o Look into putting signs up at businesses bulletin boards. o Need to purchase yard signs. 4 o Will have table at the craft beer event. o Need a banner made for the 17 th Sports fence. o Matt to present at Lion s for sponsorship. Amy to modify sponsorship. Program/Level Directors (Thorman/Ruud) Registrar (Smieja). Field/Equipment Coordinator (Swartout) o Aaron sent out proposal for equipment needed. Totaling approx. $1800. Good item for Lion s to help. o Ryan to talk to Sherry D about capital improvements options. o There is LAX equipment at Pearson that could float to the elementary schools to add LAX in the phys-ed rotation. Brian H to talk to Brian Snell about that equipment. Uniform/Apparel Committee (Craig) = FULL o Girls need to make decision on what shorts girls will wear. o Girls have options to order shorts if they want. o Players will have four uniform try ons date in February. Volunteer/DIBS Communications Director and Webmaster o Kindra to send out spring league again. Thorman/ Ruud Aaron Swartout Kindra Craig Jen Ruud Kindra Craig 4 Old Business N/A All NA 5 New Business Red Oak Fundraiser (Monica) o Feb 21 st 5-6pm. Need to update the dates in the red folder. Sean to check about renting the Fieldhouse from 6-7pm. o Move Try Lacrosse to Saturday February 17 or Sunday February 18 th. Sean to talk to John. Look at 9-10am and 10-11am. U6-U10 Levels o Last year we did U8 boys/girls house and U8 boys travel team. Possibly will need two U8 teams. May need to look at other communities since numbers for U8 and U10 girls are low. o Amy to add U8 girls into registration. U14 Coach for boys still needed. U12A coach set. No 12B coach. Matt to ask Dom Mulcahy to possibly coach. Sean to talk to HS and alumni. Quite a few coaching openings that need to be filled. Ryan Ongoing Page 4 of 5

5 Matt will coach U6-U8 with help from Ryan. Jen, Matt, Sean, and Ryan to meet to outline a coaching criteria. Social Media o Ryan to create new social media accounts and give further update in February. 6 Off Season Lacrosse Try Lacrosse February 21 from 6-7pm. All NA 7 Financial Update Motion to accept December financials (Brian H), seconded by Brian M. Approved unanimously. Ryan to sign the 2017 tax return. Amy sent in the Possibly for the Feb meeting.
