JIM WACKER TIES 4Both TCU and Minnesota were coached by Jim Wacker. 4Wacker was the Horned Frogs head coach from , before leaving Fort Worth to take the reins of the Golden Gophers ( ). 4Wacker s most-successul TCU team was his 1984 Unbeleevable squad that went 8-4 in reaching the Bluebonnet Bowl. REMEMBER ME? 4While at Texas Tech in 2012, TCU co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Sonny Cumbie stepped into a play-calling role as interim OC when the Red Raiders totaled 429 yards in a win over Minnesota in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. TCU NOTABLES 4The Horned Frogs are the preseason pick to win the Big 12. Doctson had a leaping grab with his right hand for a 7-yard score that increased TCU s lead to 17-0 early in the second quarter. Trevone Boykin was 27 of 46 for 258 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed 12 times for 92 yards. Doctson opened the scoring with a 13-yard over-the-shoulder catch. He finished with six catches for 64 yards. TCU s newly-installed up-tempo offense wasted little time adding points on the scoreboard. Only one of the Horned Frogs six scoring drives took longer than 2 minutes.
