2 Dear Friends, We would like to invite you to the 40th Annual Fort Ranch Production Sale on Saturday, June 24th, The preview starts at 10:00 a.m., with the sale beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Fort Ranch. This year we will be doing something special to celebrate 40 years. At the end of the sale, one of the lots sold will be randomly selected and the purchaser of that lot will receive that colt at no cost. Our foals are born and raised in the elements and on the mountainside. They have a rich history of being cow horses that excel on the ranch, in the arena, and in the show pen. Breeding and producing Quarter Horses for more than 40 years here at the Fort Ranch leaves little doubt that our program is the basis for producing both champions and great all-around ranch horses. Investing in great bloodlines does produce great rewards! Please note that our sires and many of our dams are own sons and daughters of the industry s top bloodlines. The high mountain pastures are a natural conditioner as colts graze the steep slopes and travel to water with the broodmare band. The Fort Ranch horses have proven their versatility by being winners in the arena with exceptional horses in cutting, reining, working cow horse, and roping events. Many other Fort Ranch horses prove to be a cowboys vital tool on the ranches they call home. This year s foal crop will provide you with an exciting choice of prospects. The highest bidder is to be the buyer. If any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the sole authority to settle the dispute is the auctioneer and his decision shall be final. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any bid. II. Terms of sale: The required down payment on foals is $200 or one-third of the purchase price, whichever is greater. Foals will be weaned in August, at which time the remaining balance shall be paid. The Fort Ranch guarantees the foal to be alive and sound at weaning time or will refund the down payment. Purchasers may pay full purchase price at sale time if they desire. III. When each horse is sold, the buyer shall sign the Acknowledgement of Purchase. Title of ownership passes to the buyer only after the buyer signs this acknowledgement, agrees to the terms of this contract and full payment is completed. IV. All known conditions, quality, soundness and blemishes will be announce. We have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the color of the foals listed in this sale book, yet due to the age of the foals at the time of printing and sale day, the color may change. V. All horses are guaranteed to not exhibit HC (Hyperelastosis Cutis), otherwise known as HERDA. Any horses sold through this offering that are diagnosed and proven to be HC affected through certified DNA analysis may be exchanged for a full credit of the original purchase price which may be used at any future Fort Ranch sale. VI. All registration certificates will be held until the total purchase price has been paid. Purchasers may select a name for the foal at time of sale or within seven days of purchase. Buyers will pay for transfer of AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) registration certificate. VII. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of information presented in this book, however the auctioneer, sale manager or Fort Ranch shall not be held liable for error. Announcements from the auction block take precedence over any printed material. VIII.Absentee Bids: We encourage you to engage your own representative if you are unable to attend the sale. However, the sale manager or auctioneer will accept written authorized bids. A certified check to the Fort Ranch for one-third of the bid amount must be received by sale time. IX.
