We want to express a heartfelt thank you to all of the 4hers and families who made this fair a success. 4-H ers without your static and animal exhibits the fair would not be as wonderful as it is! At our office we are excited for the large amount of items going to the State Fair whether they be living or static! We are extremely proud of each one of you! We hope that with the fair being over for 2016 that each of you can enjoy the rest of your summer! We are looking forward to our 1 st Annual Williams County 4-H Picnic held August 10 th at Spring Lake Park in Williston. We also have some wonderful activity nights planned for the 2016/ H year! A sneak peek at a few of our activity nights planned: Cake decorating, leather craft, drone flight, balancing a check book and public speaking!! If you have ideas of things you would like to see let us know! 7 2016 Williams County 4-H Round Robin Supreme Champion Showman Results Outstanding 2016 UMV Fair 4-H Member Named Congratulations! Hannah Cornell Outstanding Herdsman Winners The Champion Showman from the beef, sheep, swine, and horse species competed in a Round Robin Contest on June 24th during which each contestant was required to show all four species. Champions competed in three age groups Senior ages 15-18, Intermediate ages 12-14, and Juniors ages The Senior Supreme Showman received a Montana Silversmith belt buckle. The Intermediate and Junior Supreme Showman each received a plaque. Carmen Bendixson This year s recipient of Williams County Friend of 4-H is a woman who has been involved in 4-H since she was five years old. She has been a part of Williams County 4-H for 25 years, being the club leader for Corner Club in Grenora for most of them. Carmen Bendixson has been a huge help to 4-H as she has been the 4-H Council President, Livestock Committee President and currently is the 4-H Council Vice President. Besides those roles, Carmen has also has coordinated the Quiz Bowl and Interview Judging during the Upper Missouri Valley Fair. Williams County 4-H would like to say thank you for all your years of hard work and dedication. Page 7
