Myrtle Avenue Jacksonville, Florida Phone: (904) * Fax: (904) October 1, 2014 You and your track team are cordially invited to participate in the 50 th Annual Bob Hayes Invitational Track and Field Meet sponsored by Office of Economic Development of The City of Jacksonville to be held at William M. Raines High School on Saturday, March 21, The Developmental Clinic will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 followed by the Middle School Invitational Track Meet. This meet is limited to 7th and 8th Grade ONLY. Enclosed is a copy of the Track and Field Developmental Clinic and a Schedule of Events. Saturday, March 21, the 3200 meter relay will run as a final at 8:00 A.M. with preliminaries and finals to follow in all events. This meet is sanctioned by Florida High School Activities Association and all FHSAA Rules and Regulation will be in effect. Enclosed is the entry information for the meet through Direct Athletics. PLEASE, NO PHONE OR FAX ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED! Each school will be limited to two (2) contestants in each individual event, and one (1) relay race. Entries must be received by Wednesday, March 18, 2015 by 2:00 P.M. via Entry Fee of $20.00 Per Team may be paid at packet pick up, Friday, March 20, 2-5 p.m. from Ms. White near the concession stand or Sat. 2 BOB HAYES INVITATIONAL TRACK AND FIELD MEET INFORMATION SHEET 1. ENTRY must be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 18, 2015 by 2:00 P.M. online. (Enter as early as possible changes can be made up until deadline time) 2. Include best times, heights and distances in meet competition on your online entry blank. 3. COACHES MEETING will be held at 7:30 A.M. on the day of the meet, March 21, Press box side of the Stadium. Coaches may pay entry fee ($20.00 per team) at this time- Checks or Money Ordesr made payable to Raines High School (NO PERSONAL CHECK). 4. Spikes no longer than 1/8" will be permitted on Raines Track and Runway Surface, which is a sprintax 200 running surface (rubber). 5. The discus and shot put circles are made of concrete. 6. If an event doesn't have enough participants, it will be run as a Final. 7. Starting height for the pole vault will be 10'6"for boys, 7'0" for girls, the high jump 6 0 for boys, and 4'6" for the girls. 8. Coaches are requested to keep their athletes out of the track oval and/or off the football field. Bleachers will be available for coaches and their teams. 9. The thirty- two hundred (3200) meter relay will be run as a Final at 8:00 A.M. on time. 10. Cut off marks in field events for measurement. A. Girls Long Jump 16 feet E. Boys Long Jump 21 feet B. Girls Triple Jump 30 feet F. Boy Triple Jump 40 feet C. Girls Shot Put 30 feet G. Boys Shot Put 40 feet D. Girls Discus 100 feet H. Boys Discus 120 feet 11. Participants will be allowed four (4) jumps in the Long Jump and four (4) in the Triple Jump 12. Participants will be allowed four (4) throws in the Discus and four (4) throws in the Shot Put 13.
